For the record, I believe Oscar Grant was in good hands in the hospital.

In sincerely believe they tried desperately to save his life.

This is what I think occurred with Oscar post TRAUMA.

Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC)

This is from WebMD (click here)

...In DIC, the body's natural ability to regulate blood clotting does not function properly. This causes the blood's clotting cells (platelets) to clump together and clog small blood vessels throughout the body. This excessive clotting damages organs, destroys blood cells, and depletes the supply of platelets and other clotting factors so that the blood is no longer able to clot normally. This often causes widespread bleeding, both internally and externally....

No matter how much blood they pumped into Oscar, including platelets, could stop the bleeding. His wounds were incredibly traumatic to the body. The wounds were not at his extremities. The wounds were at the center of his chest dynamics. He was trying very hard to stay alive. His wellness worked in his favor, but, the longer he bled the more the platelets were used throughout his body and the gross survival reaction of his healthy body to stop the bleeding worked against his efforts and that of his medical team. He suffered a horrible death and the mental cruelty was beyond imagination.

The reason such efforts failed is due to the complicated syndrome called "The Clotting Cascade."

The clotting of human blood is a complicated scenario. People rely on blood to carry oxygen and nutrients to nurture their body. Now realize the blood is circulating to every cell of body tissue. It becomes the body's defense as a survival mechanism. That is why there is a 'cascade' because the 'circumstances' have to be correct to 'stimulate' a clotting response.

If a child happens to accidentally injure themselves and bleeds; the bleeding doesn't stop immediately. It takes a fairly short period of time to form a clot at the site of the injury to stop the bleeding. The reason for that is because 'biochemicals' have to initiate this survival mechanism of circulating blood. That biochemical reaction occurs at the level of cells. Platelets are only a small part of the cascade.

But, every aspect of the cascade has to be intact for it to initiate.

When a large trauma occurs as with Oscar the 'body's supply' of those biochemicals becomes depleted. When that depletion of the body tissues occurs; which are vitamins, minerals and biochemical compounds of the body's metabolism; no matter how much blood or platelets are infused as quickly as possible it is DIFFICULT to stop the bleeding because THE ENTIRE biochemical cascade is no longer in the 'stores of the tissues/cells.'

Oscar was severely depleted and while the trauma teams seek to return the body to stability and reinfuse all those wonderful biochemical COMPONENTS to force the body to return to a normal balance, that doesn't mean the body is going to cooperate. Cell Death. There is cell death that occurs after the trauma and during the survival response. There is no way of infusing cells to the parts of the effected body due to cell specialization.

It is the trauma that is the enemy. The initial trauma has to end.

Oscar did not will his death. He fought hard to stay with all those he loved.

My sincerest sympathies to all those whom's lives he touched.

Another death by a Neighborhood Watchman in Florida. This time domestic abuse. Don't tell me, "Stand Your Ground and the Castle Doctrine." The wicked wife was punching him out.

I have a challenge to the leadership.

I know for a fact Black Americans and Brown Americans are very under represented in our economy.

The challenge is to point to it. I want the Black Leaders to point to the disparity of minorities in our economy.

Example: There are 40% less Black Lawyers in Los Angles than Caucasian Lawyers and there are 60% more Black Americans that live there. I don't know if those percentages are correct. That was an example.

Another, there are 60% less Black Physicians in Los Angeles than Caucasian Physicians while the population is 60% Black.

Those statistics, across the nation, will bring about FACTS that cannot be disputed and why OPPORTUNITY and WEALTH still lacks in our minorities.

I guarantee there are dearly few plastic surgeons in the USA that are minorities. It is a specialty occupied by physicians that want to be wealthy and I sincere doubt there are many minorities in that specialty.

How is a Caucasian lawyer suppose to represent injustice in our legal system if he or she has not got a clue what 'the street' is like to call home. By 'the street' I mean the CONDITIONS our minorities experience in their day to day lives. How is a Caucasian lawyer suppose to do anything except PROCESS a Black Man through the system if they don't understand the dynamics these men face?

The odds of injustice are very high when even lawyers and legislators that represent Black Men carry out their JOBS without having 'been there.' This is not about 'brotherly bonding,' it is about WILLINGLY RECOGNIZING the fact Black American Men are 'against the ropes' with their first infant breath. They are against the ropes in utero for that matter. The quality of care their mothers receive isn't state of the art either.

It needs to be pointed out to the majority of the USA that they are not correct in their opinions that impact minority populations. That their entertainment industry discriminates in it's view of the world and enforces fear and loathing. I want the media to be saturated with Black Men doing magnificent things with their lives, being happy and safe with loving and successful families. As a nation we need to brag about the accomplishments of our minorities and their proportional appearance in our professions and prison system. The disproportion of both currently is a national shame and tragedy.

I want to brag about our minorities wealth, how they achieved it and where their future lies for their children. I want to see examples of the filthy rich being Black American Men and the opulent castles they have built for their families. I want Black Royalty in the USA. I want a Black Camelot.

PHILADELPHIA (NNPA) - One of the primary goals (click here) of the 1963 March on Washington was finding or creating jobs for Blacks. At a panel discussion during the annual convention of the National Urban League, jobs was mentioned more frequently than any other topic as leaders discussed the famous march 50 years ago and an upcoming one planned for Saturday, Aug. 24.
Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, said employers are increasingly using measures that have nothing to do with job performance that disproportionately limits the ability of African-Americans to gain employment.
“I need you to make sure that your state has a law that says very clearly that you cannot use the fact that somebody has been arrested as a reason not to employ them,” she told convention delegates. “A mere arrest tells you nothing.”...

Lawyers are the difference. Not just any lawyer, well paid lawyers.

The police officer that murdered Oscar Grant was not unlike George Zimmerman. The community had to know when he was charged with First Degree Murder it was manipulation of the truth. The officer never committed First Degree Murder. Second Degree Murder, but, not first. There was no forethought to the death of Oscar Grant. It was at the very best opportunistic and that is according to video footage.

But, the community was manipulated to prevent riots. I cannot believe that officer got away with serving 11 months. The deaths of Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin have a lot in common. They were both police shootings in many ways; one an officer and one a vigilante, police officer wannabee. Both unjustified and both predatory. Both shooters tried and convicted their victims. Make no doubt about it both were victims. That is not always stated 'in those words.' Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin were the VICTIMS of a gun culture that discriminates against it's prey.

There is a lot of fear in the USA and it manifests in victimization of Black American Men. There has to be fear of something in order for fear to exist.

I remember, as a mother, wanting to put my young men in a bubble at times. Young people can do such stupid things sometimes and it seems no matter how a parent tries to protect them it happens anyway. Racism was never an issue with my sons. I don't remember ever talking about hatred of others. I guess that might be kind of strange, but, we never had those conversations. As a matter of fact my oldest son went to a private school where there were many young Black Men and not all were Americans. Any my youngest son attended a high school with high diversity throughout the classroom experience. Racism just wasn't in our language. In order for it to be in language it has to be in thoughts.

I some ways, as a parent, I had it easy. My sons were Caucasian. They still did silly things, but, it never amounted to false accusations and a threat of death in their lives. What kind of bubble as a society do we have to build for young Black American Men or Black American Men in general these days? We need some rules for the road to navigate this hell we as a society have created for our minorities. We better come up with some good ones, spread it through our society like wildfire and make sure our social contract with Black American Men is solidly enforced at every turn. This is deadly stuff we have created and we need to stop it with full force right now.

There was no public access to the internet 50 years ago, maybe more people will pay attention today.

Ten priests and laypeople, (click here) including four members of a newly established archdiocesan Commission on Human Rights, represented the St. Louis Catholic community in the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, held 50 years ago this month.
The Aug. 28, 1963, march involved a peaceful gathering of 200,000 people, the largest demonstration up to that time in capital history. A number of priests, rabbis and ministers added to the atmosphere of faith and prayer.
"One could call it almost a pious crusade rather than a political one," Msgr. Daniel Moore, then-editor of the St. Louis Review, wrote about the march. "The people all seemed to evidence a spirit of hope that something concrete would result from their demonstration. And even though legislation requires political action, this demonstration was basically a religious or holy crusade, rather than a political one."
The march preceded the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Passage of the act ended the application of "Jim Crow" laws, which had been upheld by the Supreme Court in the 1896 case Plessy v. Ferguson, in which the court held that racial segregation purported to be "separate but equal" was constitutional. The Civil Rights Act eventually was expanded by Congress to strengthen enforcement of these fundamental civil rights....

There are some typing joblessness to the immigration bill. Although there are drags on the USA economy due to immigration that is not the complete picture. I think the border amendment is ridiculous. It is pork quite frankly. But, the immigration bill as it stands today is the best that can be had from this Congress. That is not saying much.  The legislation from this Congress is very poor quality, but, that is partly the electorate's fault and their populous agenda.

But, the jobs issue is due more to a stagnant economy brought on by Wall Street profiteering. If Wall Street was investing in their employees by providing better pay and benefits there would be more disposable income.  Disposable income is 'circulating capital.' Circulating capital returns jobs to the economy and increases demand for services and products. Wall Street is still the problem. They are hording their monies rather than building the economies in which they seek profits.

There is only one way to restart and expand a stangnant economy with STRUCTURAL unemployment.

There has to be an increase in disposable income to those already employed to increase demand of products. When products are more in demand there is a need to increase inventories to keep up with demand. That means more employment in the USA economy and if that 'demand' can be contained to increase manufacturing, like the wind turbines manufactured in Michigan under Former Governor Jennifer Granholm it INSTITUTES a sustainable future for those jobs and growth to the USA economy.

December 7, 2010
More than 100 New Clean Energy Jobs for Michigan
LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm (click here) today announced a significant power purchase agreement between Consumers Energy and Traverse City-based Heritage Sustainable Energy that will result in the first large-scale production of utility-scale wind turbines fully made in Michigan.  The agreement was celebrated today by the parties, together with wind turbine manufacturer Northern Power Systems and key supplier Merrill Technologies Group, at a press conference in Lansing....

Now, if we could get them to the Great Lake Wind Map Fields to actually produce electricity in mass amounts that would be nice.

The Great USA Middle Class, also known as Quality of Life. Wall Street will NEVER do it willingly even though it is best for their free market growth.

The Current Republican Governor's political career was sold lock, stock and barrel to Koch Industries and their SuperPacs. In order to provide 'kick backs' to Koch Industries for financing his political career Snyder wants to Frack Michigan so the Kochs can get all their political investment monies back and substantially more. Koch Industries PROFITS from natural gas Fracking.

Questions?

Rather than harnessing the wind power of the Great Lakes and building sustainable jobs in Michigan, Snyder is OPTING for Flash in the Pan Political profits. Once the gas is gone the land will be destroyed for generations and quite possibly forever and there still won't be a sustainable energy source for or FROM Michigan.

Canada now has the lead on this because stupid FOR SALE Republican Governors line the Wind Fields of the Great Lakes. Interesting strategy against the American people to benefit Big Oil, isn't it?

Wisconsin - Scott Walker
Michigan - What's his name Snyder
Ohio - John Kasich
Pennsylvania - Tom Corbet

The only Great Lake States with Democratic Governors are Minnesota and New York. The 2010 elections was a planned assault not just against public employee unions, but, by the petroleum industry to DISABLE the ability of the USA to produce Wind Power.

It is up to the American people to recapture and rebuild their economy through local initiatives and unions with Wall Street firms. It has to be done. No one is going to do it for them, not even their government. Their government is being disabled rather than made to facilitate their needs and aspirations for their children. It is a planned assault against the American people by a dying breed of greed merchants.

"Swarm" Economies

This is no mystery. It somewhat comes out of Game Theory. But, primarily it is a "Bubble and Bust" Economy. The Swarm is a Bubble. A Day Trader simply has to know what the size of the Bubble is, purchase the targeted stock and ride the Bubble to it's height (knowing the size and scope of it) and then sell the targeted stock at the height of the Bubble. Once that is completed the entire Swarm Profiteering has gone Bust.

Simple. Easy. Nearly undetectable. The truth.

It is akin to what Jamie Dimon said, "We make a little bit of money out of many investments."

Exactly.

Like the micropennies accumulated per second on the undersea long lines between NYC and London.

This is exactly the problem with Wall Street these days.

Wall Street "swarms" it's profits. In other words the "Big Thinkers" at Wendy's came up with a Bagel Burger. A novelty.

Consumers content with McDonald's during their Millionaire Monopoly game will tirer of the new menu items there and will swarm over to Wendy's to try the new menu items there.

This is a completely dysfunctional free market system. This market system imposed on the USA Consumer is a designer market for 'Day Traders.'

As Wendy is preparing for the Swarm of New Consumers attracted from other fast food Wall Street vendors, Day Traders have already purchased share in Wendy's to raise the assets of their accounts. When the Swarm Market ends the Day Trader will have already ended their interests in Wendy's and will have sold their stocks for more than they purchased them for. Wendy's will ultimately pay the price because they HAVE NOT achieved greater and permanent market penetration. When Hardees comes out with their new novelty item the Swarm Market will begin again.

This is NOT a sustainable economy. It is opportunistic and will continue to dysfunction and wear away at the USA's vitality in the free market system.

This Swarm Economy and Day Trader dream come true will not return circulating capital to the USA economy to expand purchase power. It will continue to hold monies within the top 1 percent.

A while back, (click here) I took a look at some of the new breakfast pastry items that Wendy's will be rolling out in the great US of A in the coming months.  With some items being sloppier than a whorehouse at low tide (Cinna-Middles), and others being borderline at best (Cinnamon Crumb Muffin), it was time to take a look at one of the more classic breakfast sandwich options...

The Bus Tour could use some media recognition and exposure. These folks are sincere without any reason to doubt their message.

Carlee Soto -- whose sister, Victoria, was among the 26 killed in Newtown, Connecticut elementary school last December -- speaks during a Wednesday rally in Union Park in Des Moines. The event was part of a 25 state Mayors Against Illegal Guns bus tour seeking comprehensive background checks for those trying to purchase guns and other changes to reduce gun violence.

..."It is time (click here) for our leaders in Washington to take meaningful action to help save lives." Soto said to nearly 100 people that rallied at Union Park. "Gun violence knows no bounds and it poses a serious threat to all Americans everywhere."...
DES MOINES – Speakers with close ties to gun-violence tragedies brought a national campaign for what they called “common-sense gun policies” to Iowa on Wednesday.
Gun-control advocates traveling with the Mayors Against Illegal Guns bus tour included Carlee Soto, whose sister, Victoria, was a teacher killed last December at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., and Pat Maisch, a woman who survived a shooting at a 2011 political gathering in Tucson, Ariz.
“It’s time for our leaders in Washington to take meaningful action and to help save lives,” Soto told nearly 100 people who rallied at Union Park. “Gun violence knows no bounds and it poses a serious threat to all Americans everywhere.”
A broad coalition of gun violence prevention advocates came together to voice their support for comprehensive and enforceable background checks as part of a 25-state tour over 100 days. Advocates said it remains too easy for criminals, domestic abusers, and other dangerous or seriously mentally ill individuals to skirt laws and obtain guns by purchasing them online or at gun shows where background checks are not required under federal law.

Wendy's needs a union! Their CEO is worthless.

This is the stupidity of Wall Street and their 'so called' market forces. According to Wendy's CEO in January they have to get better 'thinker' to thunk up better STRATEGIES to improve profits.

There is only ONE THING that will provide better profits to Wendy's. They need to get rid of all their "Big Thinkers" that have no clue what that one thing is and their profits will BEGIN to increase.

Then the ONLY thing Wendy has to do is sell MORE PRODUCT. Ah, but, how do they do that, they just let all their Big Thinkers go and there are no more Big Thinkers at Wendy's.

Hmmmmmmmmm???????????????????

I got it, increase the pay and benefits of their workers that puts more DISPOSABLE INCOME into their pockets and watch them sell more burgers. I'll be darn.

The United States of America has a huge service industry. While rebuilding it's manufacturing sector, there are enormous service industry jobs. The market is stalled. Why? Because there more money coming into it. The money is sequestered at the top 1% and the rest of the PRODUCT MARKET is starving due to lack of CIRCULATING CAPITAL.

This is NOT magic. Products won't move off shelves UNTIL they are dirt cheap rather than the high expectations of manufacturers and retailers. The CEOs are starving their own markets because they won't pay their employees a living wage, yet alone a DISPOSABLE income.

Where is the consumer money? A CEO has to look to where the money in the USA Economy is and realize they have a problem. The money is sequestered in their stockholder incomes and their own bonuses. CEOs are living on hubris while their economy implodes around them.

THE BEST OPPORTUNITY for any American to upward movement is higher education and/or small business start ups. The CEOs of Wall Street are worthless to the American consumer. They have painted themselves into a corner and they are too scared to find their way out.

LOCAL ECONOMIES EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

Start a beekeeping enterprise and sell the honey to the local organic food market. Look around the community, find an opportunity that is viable and find a way to BUILD YOUR OWN COMMUNITY ECONOMY.

If Wall Street wants to succeed they have to accept unions and their contracts as a means to building a better Middle Class and returning circulating capital to the USA economy. They don't do it? We'll find a way.

NEW YORK — Wendy's new CEO (click here) on Monday called the dour results of the past few years "self-inflicted wounds" and vowed to do better, laying out plans that included hiring top-tier workers and reclaiming market share from higher-end competitors like Five Guys and Smashburger.
Emil Brolick, the CEO since September, told investors on Monday that he was intent on winning back customers, jaded by a stale menu and inconsistent service, as well as investors, who have grown weary of "a little bit of overpromising and under-delivering."
And rather than blaming the struggling economy for the revenue declines and quarterly losses of the past few years, Brolick said that the company's problems were its own fault. Though Wendy's Co. had carved out a niche in the restaurant business as fast food for grownups, it had lost its way in recent years....

The Gay Russian Demonstrators were in St. Petersburg.

If anyone knows anything about Russia they would know St. Petersburg is very European in its culture and has been for a long, long time.

It has a notation in Russian society similar to NYC and it's frequent progressives agenda including fighting against food abuse and large drinks.

Basically, St. Petersburg gets on many Russians last nerve. It is also a beautiful city and carries pride with Russian society. So, in many ways, if there was going to be Gay Rights demonstrations they would have started in St. Petersburg.

Aug 2, 2013
While holding a one-man protest (click here) against LGBT rights violations in Russia, activist Krill Kalugin was attacked by a group of Russian paratroopers in St. Petersburg today. The paratroopers were celebrating Russia’s Paratroopers day, which honors military servicemen.

According to Animal New York’s translation of a video of the attack, paratroopers approached the man and began pushing him around after saying they did “not agree with” his actions.

The Olympics are coming up and every Russian with an agenda knows there will be intense interest by the international community during that time. Hello?

China did well when they hosted the Olympics, but, the social rules are well enforced in China and no new rules were necessary. The Olympics went on while there were human rights abuses in the nation. One of the reasons the Olympics occur every four years in two different seasons is to promote good will and progress toward peace. If every Olympics looked like a G anything meeting with Globalists everywhere, some how it just would not be the same. Go figure.

While Gay Rights is an important subject and Europe has a high level of status for their gay communities; Russia has decided this eruption of demonstrations by their gay community is opportunistic. Quite frankly it is.

The Gay Community in Russia has made a statement. No one is going to forget it. The way to assist the community is to work within a framework that won't disrupt lives and livelihoods. The best path is to have the USA State Department carry the agenda forward while advocating for their freedoms of expression to minimize victimization. I am quite confident Russian diplomacy will point to the fact the USA has only recently realized a Court overturn a Clinton era law and there really isn't any overall right for their gay community to marry. They would be correct.

The USA has a way to go yet before they are solid examples of freedom and diversity. In the meantime, activists will seek attention and those viewing it will worry about them, demand fair treatment and ask international observers to insure their well being. It is the way of the world.

The Olympics will go on and again we will celebrate athletes being ambassadors for their countries. There is no excuse to boycott the Olympics. The USA has no 'moral authority' in the treatment of their gay community to make such a stand.

The reason President Obama is not meeting with President Putin ahead of the G20 is because it has been assigned to lower level diplomacy.

The truth is there is no reason for high level meetings because there was no progress made to any of the issues facing the two countries. There were treaties to sign or any 'next thing' to do that is left to either President.

The bull-only about Snowden is American propaganda for media pundits.

MOSCOW, August 7 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow (click here) is disappointed by the cancellation of US President Barack Obama’s planned visit to Moscow for a bilateral summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a senior Kremlin aide said Wednesday.

The two heads of state were scheduled to hold talks in Moscow ahead of a gathering of the Group of 20 major economies on September 5 in St. Petersburg.

“We are disappointed by the decision made by the US administration to cancel Obama’s visit to Moscow in September,” Putin's top foreign policy aide, Yury Ushakov, told reporters.

“It is clear that this decision has been prompted by the situation regarding former US spy agency employee Edward Snowden, [a situation] which was not created by us,” Ushakov said....

The 'tough talk' of the pundits was never heard from either President. Snowden is AGAIN a scapegoat.

I think what Julia Ioffe knows about Russia is more than appropriate. (click here) Her opinions are fairly accurate. Once again Russia is the evil empire. Will the propaganda of the USA ever do without it?

The fight for Gay Rights is everywhere. It is not just in Russia. The incident in St. Petersburg didn't result in a national hunt for homosexuals.

WASHINGTON — Secretary of State John Kerry and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel (click here) plan to meet here in Washington with their Russian counterparts on Friday for a day of talks that could determine the fate of a September summit meeting between President Obama and the Russian president, Vladimir V. Putin....

The boys haven't been doing their homework and now they have to catch up. Secretary Kerry has had a family emergency and Hagel has been harassed over "The Sequester," so everything that was supposed to be accomplished before President Obama arrived in Russia for the Putin meeting hasn't been addressed. There is no business for either leader to  address. They aren't meeting for 'the old days' and reminiscing. These meetings are suppose to be productive.

Quite frankly it has been a standard for some time now to allow Russia to be moved to the back burner while other issues were more pressing. Times up!

...State Department officials on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the meeting with Sergey V. Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, and Sergei K. Shoigu, the defense minister. Jen Psaki, the State Department spokeswoman, said the four officials would discuss “a number of pressing bilateral and global issues.”
“There’s a lot to discuss,” Ms. Psaki said. “A lot of issues we work together on. I expect those to be the thrust of the conversation."

Russian officials sounded a similar theme.

We expect a very intensive discussion, all the more so because there are quite a few sharp, controversial and difficult questions,” Sergei Ryabkov, the deputy foreign minister, said Tuesday....

There better be very intensive discussions because the people of the USA are flyin' tired of the lack of progress on many fronts including non-proliferation, Syria, Iran and North Korea and hostile parking of missiles at the Russian border.

Edward Snowden is NOT the issue with the problems within the NSA and their intimate relationship with Wall Street. Edward Snowden is a whistleblower. Russia has consented to allow him a space on Earth until more is known about his future. There are many citizens of the USA viewing the NSA program as a problem and Snowden admirable to bring it forward at his own peril.

At least Russia is willing to entertain the safety of a man that is wrongly accused by the USA while Wall Street gets away with it all. The American people don't need any more injustice in their understanding of their country. That is oppression and we are all opposed to it. The politics in the USA have become oppressive and a burden to the people. Real oppression. Fiscal and status oppression of citizens. At least Edward Snowden has relief from the invasive government agenda of the NSA and their Wall Street partners.

Indeed. One has to wonder why FOX News staff always looks like deer caught in headlights.

It is interesting, isn't it? The conservative states actually have few and few mental health beds than prison beds.

...It is now extremely difficult.(click here) It is now extremely difficult to find a bed for a seriously mentally ill person who needs to be hospitalized. In 1955 there was one psychiatric bed for every 300 Americans. In 2005 there was one psychiatric bed for every 3,000 Americans. Even worse, themajority of the existing beds were filled with court-ordered (forensic) cases and thus not really available....

But, of course, there is no need for gun control. I don't believe I have to state anything else, do I? Next time Wayne La Pierre states the problem is mental health in the USA, remember this.

This information is a little dated, but, maybe Governor Jan Brewer loves Obamacare because she knows there is no real funding for mental health in Arizona which resulted in an attempted assassination of an Arizona USA Congresswoman.

Using 2004–2005 data not previously published, we found that in the United States there are now more than three times more seriously mentally ill persons in jails and prisons than in hospitals. Looked at by individual states, in North Dakota there are approximately an equal number of mentally ill persons in jails and prisons compared to hospitals. By contrast, Arizona and Nevada have almost ten times more mentally ill persons in jails and prisons than in hospitals. It is thus fact, not hyperbole, that America’s jails and prisons have become our new mental hospitals.

The trend in the conservative states has been to remove more and more mental health beds. So, when a parent of a young man realizes he is dangerous and seeks to have him treated, there simply isn't any help and/or mental health beds to be found. They are left to wander inside their own lives and minds, until, they perform a heinous act and then they are considered criminally insane and locked away.

The shooter in Arizona was known to have mental health issues, but, remained undiagnosed and walked into a Walmart and purchased all the guns and ammunition he wanted.

The only way of ending gun violence in our nation is to control the guns in circulation.

When Wayne La Pierre states most gun owners want their guns, he knows there is a level of fear in this country based on the fact, 'There are crazies with guns.' He knows the people will stand with him when it comes to gun control.

I sincerely doubt anyone will find large donations to mental health facilities by the NRA, their donors, members (Life time or otherwise) or gun industry. They have to spend monies on propaganda to prevent the truth from being known.

Go ahead, America. Live in fear. It serves the purpose.

Good news for the filmmakers of "Blackfish."

Dr. Laela Sayigh of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (click here) has conducted extensive research into the intelligence of the Free Ranging Bottlenose Dolphins most of her career.

This is a small sample of her work and reflects none of her mentoring of her graduate students. She has stated the signature whistles of Bottlenose dolphins change after having contact with humans. She has a library of signature whistles from her acoustic research which demands the least contact requirements with this species. At the time when they have contact with her research team, she has known specimens of the change in their whistles.

No research reveals the reason why, but, it might be the whistles of these mammals including the complicated singing of Humpback Whales are sophisticated ways of talking about their oceans to enhance their survival. We just don't know and I am not sure we need to know as it would be exploited and possibly lead to their extinction by others with different agendas for the biotic life on Earth.

Marine Mammals have larger brains PER BODY MASS than humans. That includes whales. They are very intelligent, gregarious survivors in very large bathtubs around the globe. That is not a minor accomplishment deserving recognition as reason for their endangered protections.

...“The main implications of such findings (click here) is that humans are not the only mammals that retain memories of others for long periods,” said SUNY-Buffalo psychologist Eduardo Mercado III, who was not involved in the research.

Prior to the new study, published online in the journal “Proceedings of the Royal Society of London B,” much of what had been known about dolphin memory was anecdotal. This recorded feat of long-term memory puts dolphins in the same field as other highly intelligent creatures, including some monkeys and elephants, both of which have been known to recognize unrelated members of their species after time apart.

University of Chicago scientist Jason Bruck studied 56 bottlenose dolphins that were moved between six different institutions — including Chicago’s Brookfield Zoo, the Minnesota Zoo and an aquarium at Disney World in Orlando — over a period of 20 years. They were typically transferred for breed, ing purposes, which somewhat mimicked the shifts among pods of dolphins in the wild.

That approach gave Bruck a record of the animals’ social histories, which would be nearly impossible to collect for wild dolphins. The dolphins studied were separated for as long as 20 years...

...'Audacious plot' (click here)
The BBC's correspondent in Washington, David Willis, says it appears that Yemen was at the centre of a complex and audacious plot which - had it succeeded - would have given al-Qaeda control over a crucial aspect of the country's infrastructure.

Yemeni government spokesman Rajeh Badi said the plot involved blowing up oil pipelines and taking control of certain cities - including two ports in the south, one of which accounts for the bulk of Yemen's oil exports and is where a number of foreign workers are employed.

"There were attempts to control key cities in Yemen like Mukala and Bawzeer," said Mr Badi.

"This would be co-ordinated with attacks by al-Qaeda members on the gas facilities in Shebwa city and the blowing up of the gas pipe in Belhaf city."...

Kenya's Main International Airport On Fire (click here)

Flights at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport have been diverted to other airports following a major fire that broke out, grounding operations.

The fire was in addition to this crash. A coincidence?

Nairobi, Kenya — Operations resumed (click here) at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after nine hours of interruption caused by an EgyptAir aircraft 849 plane that veered off the runway and got stuck while landing on Wednesday morning.

Officials at the largest and busiest airport in East Africa for local and international flights said the plane, was eventually pulled away at about noon and most of the scheduled flights at the time took off.

The Kenya Airports Authority said the plane was carrying 123 passengers from Cairo, when it overshot the runway at 3.30am....

The women were so very, very brave in that court room.

Open Letter to Reinhold Reince Priebus

Dear Mr. Priebus,

Unfortunately, this will bring attention you don't deserve, but, it has to be said.

I am sure it is disheartening to many within Wall Street to have a decent President in the Oval Office that values the people of this nation as people and not commodities. Goldman Sachs was issued one of the highest fines of a bank on Wall Street. Their employee was found to be involved in breaking the law and was slapped on the wrist with three years in prison. As recent as this past month, JP Morgan was fined for mischief and this past year there was a challenge by stockholders to Mr. Dimon's leadership. I know of what I write. Wall Street would much prefer to have a manipulated and corrupt Republican/Tea Party President in the White House.

There are Americans who understand how deeply corrupt the values of the RNC have become to maintain control the laws of the USA since 2000. The election of 2000 was rigged through the Former Governor of Florida. It is obvious. It is known and no can deny it. This is not simply politics or sour grapes. There are solid facts that back that reality. Today, the Former Governor Bush would never have gotten away with it.

The Former Governor Bush's Secretary of State purged the voter rolls in Miami-Dade County, no different than the current Republican Governor Scott attempted in 2012. It is known. It is a fact. It is a blatant grab for power because the RNC cannot win elections on the issues in a fair and transparent election. There are many nations where the politicians attempt and succeed the same thing. The UN usually sends in monitors to follow those elections. An example is the 2009 Afghanistan elections. This is not a mystery to many Americans, so what I am writing here is a fact, not fiction, regardless of your denial.

Currently, the GOP Governors of 2010 are attempting to destroy the unions, primarily the Public Sector Unions in the name of a balanced state budgets. That is also a lie. It is known. It is a fact. This methodology, including the activities within ALEC, is an assault on the USA Constitution. It is manipulative at the very least, removes States Rights and homogenizes the States into a parallel Wall Street governing body to remove the rights of the people.

The Wisconsin Recall elections of Scott Walker told it all. $80 million was spent in the governor's recall race. This compares to $37.4 million spent on the 2010 Wisconsin gubernatorial election. Of that $80 million the Barrett Campaign was out spent by over two to one by "Outside Wisconsin Donors." The top ten donors of that recall election were SuperPacs, except, for three unions that backed the people. Those unions fell into 4th, 5th and 6th place on the top ten list. If those three unions were eliminated from being among the top ten donors to that election there would be no major funding for the Democrats.

That fact can be found here: http://www.citizenkoch.com/

Destroying unions that advocate for the Middle Class to support the USA economy in a sustainable reality is Anti-American. If it weren't for unions the USA Economy would have third world status. It is known. It is a fact. The stark example of that is the fact Wall Street is realizing it's highest profits while the USA is still seeking to grow an economy without their interest. In 2008, the banks took their Bush Bailout and ran to exploit other markets. It can be speculated Wall Street didn't want the USA back on it's feet under a Democratic President. The RNC/Tea Party needs to stop begrudging the American people the American Dream. Your leadership of the RNC/Tea Party political party clearly illustrates the desire to win elections at any cost including undermining the USA Constitution.

Mr. Priebus, your RNC/Tea Party is as corrupt as it comes. I suggest you clean up your act and run honest elections rather than attempting to poison the electorate through SuperPacs, ie: Karl Rove's Crossroads has a less than one percent success rate, and manipulating an election's outcome through gerrymandering, creating issues to obstruct voting and purging election voter rolls.

Mr. Priebus, your complaining is beginning to sound very tired when the facts are known. The resistance the RNC/Tea Party is receiving is not political so much as a demand to preserve our Constitution and the right of every American to upward movement, including an education leading to the American Dream. The destruction of our economy and the devastating USA Debt is unprecedented in it's etiology of Republican Presidencies.

There is much the RNC needs to improve on and I suggest you get started rather than ranting like a spoiled child.

Best regards.
