Racial profiling

ICE agents may be running out of migrants in Blue cities. People aren’t stupid. They know the violence is carried out for political purposes. Where would anyone go to avoid the violence?

Seriously now. Where would migrants go?

How about into the country, especially Red States. The reason Trump may be sending ICE agents to carry out raids and arrests based on racial profiling is because legal citizens aren’t afraid of their lives and they aren’t running away.

Trump is setting up the Blue cities for fear to vote. There are not necessarily illegal immigrants to raid and arrest. Trump’s purpose is political mayhem. 

Why not go to Texas if the National Guard is in Chicago?

This is a small and familiar community. The Sheriff’s announcements sincerely break my heart. They are feeling the loss of people who were dearly cared about in this community. The community will never be the same. The best outcome will be the thorough investigation and the findings of the cause of these deaths. The truth of these findings will be important. Anything short of it is a violation to the lives lost.

Every person lost to this explosion were heroes. They worked in danger all the time in preparing the munitions this country uses to keep us safe. That workplace as well as any others around the country needs to be scrutinized. Those civilians had a right to their lives and any loss is not acceptable. 

There are reports of concussions through the community from the explosion. Those reports need to be followed up with inspections to understand the explosion. It is also important to realize if homes and the people in them are safe going forward. I am quite confident there are children affected in this community and they should be afforded every opportunity for their lives to be intact and safe. The environmental conditions after this explosion needs to be mitigated.

Military manufacturers require greater security.

I sincerely doubt this was an accident. There is always the chance terrorists, domestic or foreign is involved. Recently, Orban attempted to stand in the way of funding for Ukraine.

Besides that, the ceasefire was only recently concluded, and there are people who would see any USA involvement with Israel ended. 

All that has to be considered. I hope the current investigators are up to the task. We really don’t know anymore how qualified these folks are.

The United States of America…

…is a member of a very powerful alliance that will not tolerate some bozos entertaining the idea of selling land to foreign governments to build foreign air bases on USA land. 

No one is going to contract the defense of this great country to foreign entities. It is out of the question. 

How much longer do the people of this country have to put up with these morons?

Most, if not all, Trump’s firing ate illegal.

Neither Trump or Hegseth has the right to disarm the USA military. These decisions come from the Joint Chiefs. Both Hegseth and Trump are civilians with far less experience to make command decisions. They can identify missions for the Generals to address. But, they cannot dismiss and shuffle commanders. 

Congress told Hegseth he can’t sink boats in the Caribbean anymore.

If the Qataris want to land planes they can do so at Dulles International AirPort and go visit their good buddy in the White House. If they being military jets, they will be met by NORAD. It is not recommended.

I haven’t been following that close.

I think Qatar played “The Trumps” perfectly.

It is only a ceasefire though. All that money didn’t win them a real peace. Hard to keep Israel down. 

It really is unfortunate the imagine the world has of capitalists. There is no morality and Trump and Musk are the best poster boys for “the cause of greed.”

NASA to Mars is the only viable route into interstellar. Everything else is a shortcut to death. It was wrong to tease private industry with space exploration.

Universities under attack

The etiology of Trump hatred of education finally comes into focus. It is all about money and corruption and bribery. In other words, “…make things as bad as they can get (everyone’s worst nightmare) and extort for millions and billions for the next four years. Make it to be the world’s first trillionaire at the expense of every government on Earth. 

The legal costs of fighting Trump’s bottomless pit of money is ridiculous and a drag on education quality alone.

And, oh by the way, Vance will be taking the presidency in 2028 and I’ll be back for another four at least, even if I am demented and only a figurehead.

Tortured Prosecutors

Trump is harassing prosecutors to bring charges against innocent people. The list is getting longer and the Republican Congress is doing nothing.  

It would seem Americans just aren’t important enough to the Republican Congress (Click here). Military families are living paycheck to paycheck. 

The FBI isn't the only agency Trump is ruining. He is a national security threat.

This is the worse idea ever to have been conceived for NASA. May I remind that NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The threat from Russia, China and North Korea is so significant there is no way this type of dogmatic workforce reduction serves the national security of the USA.

From the end of September through January 9th, 2026, thousands of longtime NASA employees are set to leave the agency as priorities are re-aligned away from science and STEM education. Despite the unconstitutionality of these moves, they are proceeding, with the longstanding pipeline to join NASA now closed to young aspirants. This is a farewell to the NASA we all knew....

Trump needs to stop his ranting.

James Comey is a good and decent man. He is a great American who served this country well and kept it safe. He never caused Trump any problems. If any political figure could complain it would be Hillary Clinton when the FBI Director came forward during her campaign for president about an investigation. But, Trump should be grateful for the domestic stability the FBI carried out during his first term as president.

The Russian investigation was very necessary and revealed parties in the U.S.A. who influenced the elections in an attempt to destabilize this country. 

Donald Trump is assaulting too many people with vindictive lies to attempt to ruin careers of political leaders. There just aren’t that many bad leaders in the USA. The latest is Governor Pritzker whom he wants to jail. The list of the accused by Trump is becoming bizarre and obvious in its purpose. 

Trump should be seeking allies in fighting crime with programs that are innovative and that actually have an impact. Setting more and more Americans on the road to unemployment and poverty is not going to reduce crime.

I am happy to hear the former FBI Director is standing up for his leadership all those years he kept us safe. Patrick Fitzgerald is a magnificent attorney who served this country well. It is a relief James Comey has the best of the best at his side. 

Donald needs to realize he is on very shaky ground in all these baseless accusations and is not immune from personal liability. His continued poison pill attacks are too common place to be anything but personal vindictiveness. He is attempting to use this country’s DOJ wrongfully and maliciously.

Why is an Amazon driver carrying a gun?

There is too much pressure in the work environment. American postal workers are required to complete their work without obstruction. The postal workers are responsible for the mail they deliver. I can imagine what it was about in a mailroom where mailboxes were open to deliver the mail. The Amazon driver didn’t have enough time to stand aside while the postal worker was completing his delivery and to relock the mailboxes. But, a gun? What the heck! Amazon does not have to come to my door.

Tigers vs. Mariners

I rarely bother with sports. That has been the case for decades. The violence leading to injuries, etc. simply turned me off. I don’t know how the wagering public makes educated decisions if everything can change in a second as soon as an injury is inflicted. Yes, I think the injuries, regardless the game. is deliberate.

Yesterday I was visiting a real Tigers fan. I watched the game to the end and I was astounded how little baseball was played. It seems as though the way to play baseball these days is to deliver wicked pitches while driving the ball out of the park in a single home run. While that is notable of players allowing them a degree of celebrity, it is not playing ball that I am familiar with from the days of Tom Seaver. 

As the low scoring game raced through the innings, I finally started to see baseball dynamics I recognized when the Tigers began to score. There are three bases, home plate, and when loaded runs with a simple hit up the baseline will result in scoring.

Why would a ball club allow Palmeiro to score a second home run? Look, he had the change up pitch figured out. Jerez, pitch him a four ball pass to put him on first base and strike out those that followed.

“Play ball!” means more than wicked pitching and hitting the ball out of the ballpark. Baseball is about control of the ball to score. That control takes many forms, including walking a player known to have a handle on the change-up pitch and likely to score. If Detroit had denied Palmeiro that second run they would have won with their game rally.

“Play ball!”

Make it personal.

The federal judicial bench needs to rule that the INDIVIDUALS opposing the judge’s orders are to be held responsible for their criminal behavior. The National Guard personnel continue to take orders from Trump in the face of his law breaking contempt of the federal courts.

Don’t do it.

Trump has a criminal history. What is to understand? The National Guard has taken an oath to the USA Constitution. The Constitution overrides the Executive Branch especially now that there is a huge and obvious criminal element in Washington, DC.

This is not a political paradigm as known as “normal” politics in the USA. This is an executive branch out of control that practice racketeering.

The National Guard and their leadership need to recognize the criminality of the Washington administration and stand down. The Governor’s who are their usual commanders can offer far different orders that uphold the Constitution and defies a criminal network in DC.

There is no legitimate case against James Comey. The only hope Trump has in carrying out revenge is to find someone, anyone will to  corrupt enough to bend the truth until it breaks.
