The date September 11th was chosen to attack the USA because 9-11 is the emergency response number. Everyone know to call 911 in case of emergency. These were President Biden’s constituents. They did well during his administration. Kamala is not guaranteed their vote because President Biden won their respect. President Biden will ask for the labor vote for Kamala, but, she needs to make that connection. 

Labor has been through a lot in the past two decades. They know the best way forward for their union members. Kamala needs to respect their suggestions and take them seriously. Both Andy Beshear and Tim Walz would make great running mates.

Proof of citizenship

(Click here) Below is a long form birth certificate already on the net. There are many pitfalls in demanding proof of citizenship at the time of voting registration. COST of that proof would prohibit the poor and disabled, including veterans.

Why is a state ID at the time of voting not enough?

This is Arizona’s idea of installing voter chaos. Before this the Republicans were demanding proof of identity at the time of voting. The problem then as with this new mess is cost and accessibility to facilities to prove identity to obtain a state ID in the first place. And why is Arizona ONLY insisting on proof of citizenship for federal elections? Is there something this extremist political party is trying to control at the federal level in 2024? It is pure corruption to single out federal elections as the only voting where proof of citizenship is required. 

The federal government, according to the USA Constitution, does not control voting, the states do. So why all of a sudden is Arizona throwing federal elections to the courts to decide, including the Supreme Court? Makes no sense to me. 

Committing fraud is a serious crime and one that can be imposed if falsely registering to vote. The reason fraud is part of voting regulations is to deter criminal use of voting rights. If the penalty is not strong enough, then increase the penalty. 

The correct focus for citizen’s asserting their right to vote is to make it easy to do so without hurdles. Voting increases citizens’ opportunity to have representation in government to solve their problems. 

If a state is going to require proof of citizenship in order to register then the state should be liable for ANY costs including accessibility. That means if a citizen cannot find a ride to the facility to register with proof of citizenship in hand, then the state MUST supply transportation to do so. If a citizen is not mobile due to physical infirmity then the state MUST supply a person to go to the citizen to record their citizenship for voting. Such home bound Americans can vote by mail. There should be no barriers to their participation. NONE. That is provided for by the American with Disabilities Act.

So, if Arizona wants proof of citizenship in order to vote, then there needs to be a reasonable time frame to alert citizens to this new requirement. That means such a measure cannot apply to this election.

One other thing. There is a law that allows for purging of voters from voter rolls to ensure accuracy in those voter rolls. There needs to be better structure to that process with provisions to reregistering if one is removed. 

That practice of purging voting rolls is a regular practice by Republicans of Blue States. Why is it not a practice by Democrats of Red States? Perhaps there should be a uniform time frame where all states are required to purge voter rolls so that citizens find incentive to vote regularly and avoid “the purge.” Most people I know are surprised to hear such a purge exists.

But, as to Arizona, they need to trust their citizens instead of a high level of mistrust. Such a change in voting regulations, proof of citizenship at the time of voting must have sufficient notice to citizens and I don’t see it being imposed for the 2024 elections. 

And, by the way, state IDs require proof of citizenship. The demand now by Arizona is redundancy. I do believe the Paperwork Reduction Act comes into view for enforcement with states that demand redundancy in voting regulations.

Birth certificates are costing at least $20 per certificate these days, with some states asking more of citizens.

The iconography of the Free World does not seek to maintain social control through devotion to hatred. Displaying slain strongmen of a wayward Iran is to impose the idea Iran is under attack. Iran is the attacker in the real world albeit through proxies, but, how does the Ayatollah explain to Iranians how the most admired men in Iran were killed by others? 

“Iran is under attack and they will return the Shah.” Ideology and fear maintain autocracies.

I do not doubt one word of Iran’s investigation into the death of a Hamas leader hiding in Iran. It happened, but, so did the deaths of 1200 people Ismail Hanliyeh hated for their religious practices. This is proof Hamas at its highest levels is affiliated with Iran.

When Vance and Trump make these statements they are tapping into cultural “vibes” of Americans that are poor with large families. That paradigm of poor families is an issue the Democrats need to talk about because providing for those children is made difficult by Republican policies that reduce benefits like food stamps and Medicaid. 

Through no fault of their own (no addictions, domestic violence, stereotypes, etc.) poor families sometimes fall into disrepair and become involved with social services, ultimately Foster Care, and children are permanently placed and taken from their families. I do believe it is a dialogue that can be addressed.

But, Vance’s statements such as “they are coming for your kids” and “childless cat women” are a real political meme of sorts to try and drive poor people to the poles. I think it is referred to as “silly season.” Vance and Trump’s outrageous statements are a method of motivating culturally estranged Americans. Look, Trump built an entire propaganda machine for this purpose. There are free news channels and folks that use rabbit ear television yet in the USA. Those are the people these comments are seeking to vote. 

Democrats need to ask how many campaign offices they have in places like Appalachia. These can be estranged cultures within the USA. How is the public education going in these areas of America? Vance knows being poor with weird and creepy culture.

The question is, what had Vance and Trump done to improve the outcomes of these communities? Public education has been made weaker, the American diet is full of fat and carbohydrates, and rural health care has been more of a focus for Democrats than Republicans. Republicans neglect these folks, but, tap into the cultural mores for votes.

Trump’s propaganda machine is struggling. He is giving ultimatums about debates now. He is afraid of a girl.  It is my guess his WWF image is emerging now.

The Russian people need hope and these loyal Russians are that hope.

It is nonsense to think any of these men’s lives are expendable. It is out of the question any of them wanted to remain in Russia. These men are not criminals. They need to put the hearts and minds of their countrymen back together after the murder of Alexei Navalny. 

These Russians, that love their country, must continue to be a beacon of freedom to the Russian people. But, they must be that beacon of hope from the viewpoint of strength in the allies that rally around them.

They are welcome to enjoy freedom as they find it in The West and to continue their advocacy for free and open elections. 

No more returning to Russia to be persecuted and murdered. That is not a reasonable sacrifice for their desire to live in a free democracy. Freedom does not demand death, but, a celebration of life. Those values are alien to Vladimir Putin. Instead of a degree of respect for those that see Russia differently Putin chooses to extinguish voices through murder and fake criminal charges. Putin can no longer be saved, but, the Russian people can be their own liberators.

Iran has NO RIGHT to attack Israel!

Iran is harboring terrorists. It lost its right of grievance when it decided to shelter known terrorists and especially one responsible for the UNPROVOKED October 7th attacks on innocent civilians in Israel.

A Hamas leader was selectively targeted and killed. Israel had every right to do it. Iran is at fault. Iran should have purged itself of all known terrorists and sent them as POWs to Israel. Instead, Iran harbored not just any terrorist, but, the one most responsible for the deaths of innocent Israeli citizens.

It is my opinion that the selective attacks on known terrorists in the Middle East responsible for UNPROVOKED attacks on Israel are no different than the drone attacks carried out by the USA after September 11, 2001. Those drone targeted attacks had to be authorized by the highest members of the USA military with the clear understanding civilians would be protected above all else whenever possible.

These targeted attacks are not an exact science and methodology, but, they are as perfect as they can be. Civilians can be near the enemy target and become mourned collateral to this form of drone warfare.

If I recall correctly the families of civilians lost in these drone attacks were given monies as a condolence and respect for life. These monies were never an apology for the attack. The USA was at war and civilian casualties occur. The monies were to assist surviving family members to a life without the person the USA labeled an enemy.

Iran harbors known terrorists as proxies to Iran’s wayward ideology based in hate of others. Somehow Iran justifies this hate as a religious directive. It is perverse and a wrong headed way of thinking about the world. It is this wayward ideology that brings Israeli war strategy to Iran’s borders. Iran by every estimation at this point is a rouge nation with values of hate it seeks to impose and defend through weapons of mass destruction.

The war with Hamas is not Iran’s war or Hezbollah’s war or the Houthis’ war. However, these affiliated groups, along with the sovereign country of Iran are CHOOSING to carry out hatred against Israel and Israel has a right to defend itself, as do Israel’s allies.

Also, Secretary Austin is correct in rejecting any sentence plea deal.

Sorry to hear Roy Cooper didn’t want to be considered. I know he wants to run in 2026 for US Senator. That would be wonderful if he did, but, it is tough in an off year. He should start now in beginning to grow his campaign at the grass roots.

I don’t blame Governor Whitmer for stepping back after this term. She, as well as Former Speaker Pelosi have been the focus of domestic terrorism. It is very stressful and stepping back from the big jobs can be good for a future candidate.

Josh Shapiro has a lot on the ball. He is also young for a governor. The people absolutely love him. Hard to come by, but, he must have great ideas that keep Pennsylvania growing strong that may benefit other states as well. 

The number of possibilities for VP are narrowing. I hope President to be Harris chooses wisely.

The gold Russia is taking belongs to the sovereign country which it came. It is international law that any precious gem or commodity without paying fees to the government is smuggled. In many cases, such as Somalia and countries like Mali that gold is part of sovereign wealth that can be assessed by the World Bank.

In many instances it is illegal to remove gold from a country. This gold in Africa is not like mining gold in Alaska. Finders’ keepers. This gold belongs to the citizens of that country in Africa.

So, now Russia has and is committing genocide, it is illegally smuggling commodities as well. Whomever is receiving those commodities are as much a criminal as those that stole it.

Donald Trump is a very strange man with strange ideas and ambitions. I think what he is promising to whatever Christians listen to Trump, is a formation of a theocracy of which he is Messiah.

I don’t intend disrespect, but, even Jesus never promised his followers that. He spoke about a monotheistic belief. One god, not many as was the practice with the Roman Empire. I doubt the Pope or any other holy man or woman would recognize Trump as the second coming of Christ.

I would say Trump has major mental health issues, but, this is known behavior. I doubt Michael Cohen would ever say he was visited by God when he said once Trump is in the White House he won’t leave.

Donald Trump is first and foremost a malignant narcissist. No one can argue differently as the entire world has witnessed it. Then, he is a conman that seeks to aspire to wealth while cheating others out of theirs. That has also been witnessed in his many bankruptcies, never paying taxes for at least 16 years, robbing the RNC treasury which is absolutely mind blowing, and ventures like Trump University.

Then there is his idea that women can and probably should be raped. The two prominent women no matter what they may believe were Trump’s bragging rights in “having” a Playboy Model and Pornstar. Then there is his voyeurism at beauty pageants and teen pageants. Then there is the rock solid evidence by E. Jean Carroll.

At last, but, hardly least Trump is a criminal. He had to shut down his charity and they still wonder why his life size painting isn’t at Sotheby’s selling for millions.

His criminal record, including indictments, is impressive. It proves exactly the license he gives himself to be self-righteous. No messiah I know of was all that in one person.

Besides, telling people to go and vote is not what a sincere servant of the people does. To quote the Late Senator Ted Kennedy, “ Always ask the voters to vote and then ask for their vote.”

Boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. My mother said there would be days like this, but, so many?

This is the problem the Republicans are trying to stop, not immigration.

The people of the USA wanted someone to vote for they can trust. They want someone that makes sense, be proud of, and is respected.

That is all they want. Evidently it is all the Democrats want because no one is challenging Vice President Harris.

They loved Joe. The poor debate performance worried them. They are becoming far less worried today. The Dems should have a great convention. Congratulations to still a great party.

A rebuke is a disciplinary procedure. In the sense of government it is a disciplinary procedure. The U.S. House cannot just wildly and out of political desperation write and pass bills rebuking policies and actions because they don’t like it. It is childish to say the least and pure stupidity at the other end of the spectrum.

The USA government is NOT A TOY!

President Biden is lawfully the president of this country and he presented a perfectly good bill to Congress proposing immigration reform. The U.S. House played politics for awhile and then rejected it. 

The USA House had a chance to pass immigration reform that matters, but, instead they made immigration their front and center “hate and fear” political stimulus for their cult.

Now, because they have someone running as a Democrat who knows what she is doing and can speak honestly to the problems besetting our immigration system, Trump and his cohorts are scared. So, they are using the levers of government to pass bogus legislation that achieves NOTHING (which they are good at).

They have never moved beyond yelling and screaming about aliens crossing the border. Never once have I seen a meaningful report that can be turned into legislation that solves problems. All the Republicans are doing is using populous ideas to pretend to have power over people’s lives. To begin, they have no right to do that. They are there to solve problems and not carry on like egotistical brats.

IF THEY have any complaints about the Vice President’s findings, the time has long past to state their case when they walked away from meaningful legislated reform.

NOTHING they have to say matters now.

To begin with Vice President Harris is President of the U.S. Senate and not a member of the U.S. House. As a result an ethics investigation MUST be filed against the current US House Speaker What’s His Name…oh, yeah, Johnson.

Sorry, but, this is some kind of attempt at dictatorial powers that exists nowhere. The U.S. House Speaker cannot unilaterally pull a rabbit out of his hat.

All this is political bull hockey. Who was responsible for even drawing up the document?

Secondly, in order to rebuke a member of the U.S. House there is first an ethics complaint filed followed by an investigation. That takes time to complete. A rebuke is extreme when it comes to any discipline procedure.

Thirdly, any involvement by Vice President Harris in regard to border policy of the USA was taking place with the leaders of the countries from where the border crossers were coming from. She was not tasked to guard the border so much as assess why these people were putting their lives on the line to travel by foot to the USA southern border. 

This act by the Republicans of the US House is illegal use of the USA House to discipline its own members. It is a political stunt and all involved need an ethics review followed by a rebuke or worse as a discipline.

Speaker Johnson is a foolish man to bow to such nonsense. He achieved nothing except more embarrassment of a great legislative body.

Why is it illegal?

BECAUSE IT IS FRAUD right there in broad daylight!

Mideast Peace

Iran has to be at the table along with all the terrorist groups involved with the Iranian Paradigm of Hate.

Today, the USA is optimistic there will an agreement, but, Hamas is belligerent and insists Israel completely withdraw from Gaza. Let’s say in a perfect world that happens and there are absolutely no more hostilities between the two parties and Hamas breaks alliances with others. Will that result in a MidEast Peace?

No.

With the hopes of a ceasefire and hostage return hopeful, other terrorist groups are picking up the slack. The Houthis, an Iranian supplied terrorist group are attacking Israel. They have more than rockets to send over Israel’s border.

Then there is Hezbollah, which is an interesting group, they have a drug industry in Venezuela with the permission of that government at the highest levels. So, Hezbollah is more self-sufficient in some ways. They still are Allie’s to Iran. How bizarre is that? A sovereign power, homeland to an entire religion, has terrorists for allies.

The tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, which has headquarters in Lebanon, have been in a conflict for what seems as long as Israel existed, but, it was organized in 1992. The conflict never ends because Hezbollah, like all the other terrorists affiliated with Iran, while stating to be political parties within a country, insist on being armed outside the sovereign power they claim as elected officials. Where does that occur anywhere else in the world? An armed political party that are elected to serve in the sovereign government. Their ally is Iran. Iran is not allied by the sovereign countries these groups exist. 

So, while Israel is recognized by Lebanon and considers itself at peace with Israel, the political party called Hezbollah calls Iran an ally and actively attacks Israel killing civilians. That is bizarre and untenable. In order for a Mideast Peace process to exist and be successful all those terrorist groups and Iran have to be signatories. 

Why is Netanyahu always on the aggressive stance? Why wouldn’t he be?

Then there is this good news, two-thirds of Palestinians not only approve of the October 7th attacks, they would repeat them.
