The Clean Water Act was written in 1972

In understanding waste water, it takes an understanding of clean water.

I thought printing a copy of the past might be an educational venture today. These links were working when I cited them today. Just click on "Get this one" and select PDF. That is my method.

The rules resulting from "The Clean Water Act" are called standards. There is a great deal of fiscal investment in developing these standards. There is no reason to believe at any point in time any administration needs to reinvent the wheel. Last I checked people were still people and their degree of need for healthy water hasn't changed in millennium.

There have been very few rewrites of the standards that matter. 1982 was the first standard written following the passage of the law, the research conducted and writing of the publication. The next rework of that standard occurred in 1994 with the second edition.

There were changes written in 2007, one of the last acts by the "W" administration that gave us the elevated arsenic standards. The first online version appeared. That online version was reworked twice by the Obama Administration in 2012 and 2014. The hope was to make it user friendly in 2014. Considering the hostile treatment the Obama Administration receives from the Trump White House, it is hard to say if the online version is still as streamlined and functional.

Then in 2017, Rule 3 was rewritten.

There are changes within most Republican administrations that are not funded. Changing methods as the rule of 2017 is not accompanied with funding as last I knew. That is an enormous outlay for municipalities at a time when tax laws are becoming draconian of all Blue States.

Under Section 509(b)(1) of the Clean Water Act (CWA), judicial review of this CWA rule may be obtained by filing a petition for review in a United States Circuit Court of Appeals within 120 days from the date of promulgation of this rule. For judicial review purposes, this final rule is promulgated as of 1 p.m. (Eastern time) on September 12, 2017 as provided at 40 CFR 23.2. Section 509(b)(2) provides that any rule (or requirements of any rule) for which review could have been obtained under Section 509(b)(1) may also not be challenged later in civil or criminal proceedings for enforcement.

I haven't expressed by sympathies to the friends and relatives of Hugh Hefner.

It might be a little dated, but, there is only one person I trust with talking about Hugh Hefner's life and that is Barbie Benton.

In his final months, (click here) Hugh Hefner surrounded himself with a small circle of friends and family — including longtime love Barbi Benton.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE in this week’s issue, Benton, 67, opens up about her memories of the late publishing pioneer, who died Wednesday at 91.

“I cried all night [when I found out],” she says of his death. “I was a basket case.”...

Foo Fighters - Dirty Water - Live In Paris 2017

I've been drinking dirty water
But I've been here before, after all
The witching hour is upon us
So you and I can sing haunted songs
In my dreams I'm climbing ladders
And then I tumble down, rung by rung
And I keep on falling faster
The heart is echoing, on and on
On and on
I feel an earthquake coming on
I feel the metal in my bones
I'm a natural disaster
You're the morning after all my storms
You're my sea of poison flowers
Standing in the sun, row by row
I've been drinking dirty water
The taste of sweet revenge, best served cold
All we know
I feel an earthquake coming on
I feel the metal in my bones
I'm a natural disaster
And you're the morning after all my storms
Bleed dirty water, breathe dirty sky
Bleed dirty water, breathe dirty sky
Bleed dirty

I have noticed as of late some painfully thin women. They are not happy with the weigh number on the scale and feel they need to lose more. They call it their "ideal weigh." They call it their "optimal BMI."

To them and all of either gender that discriminate so harshly against themselves, I plead for them to stop and see a plastic surgeon that can help. No, I am not referring to cellulite.

I want the plastic surgeon to assess loose skin. Yes, that flabby stuff hanging off the malnourished body. That flabby skin will never tone no matter how long a person works out on any home gym.

That flabby skin has hijacked these people's sanity and self-respect.

Skin has weight. An abdominal pannus dropping down can weigh as much as 10 pounds.

YES, TEN POUNDS!

Please, I beg of you, before you weaken muscles and bones or cause
self-imposed depression; get rid of the loose skin. It is causing malnutrition and emotional distress.

Happy Holidays in Flint are a little different than most of the USA.

November 22, 2017
By Zoe Schlanger

Thanksgiving Day (click here) will be the 1,308th day of the Flint water crisis. For residents, that’s 1,308 days without being able to drink from the tap. Flint’s presence has waned in the news, but it remains a very real crisis for those in the city that still stack pallets of water bottles in the corner of their kitchen and can’t turn on the faucet for a glass of water.

Cooking a Thanksgiving meal with bottled water is a unique challenge. Melissa Mays used 58 bottles to cook her family’s Thanksgiving meal last year. “I ended up with blisters on my fingers from opening that many bottles,” she told Quartz over the phone on Tuesday (Nov. 21)....

Thaw turkey: 24 bottles

Soak turkey in brine: 9 bottles

Turkey rinse: 3 bottles

Rinse veggies: 6 bottles

Couscous and lentil: 10 bottles

Mashed potatoes: 6 bottles...

The change in temperature across the country is enormous and speaks to the nature of the vortexes. They are heat transfer systems. They transfer heat from the tropical equator to the Arctic Circle which the two on the mid and left picture fall just short of it.

The white effects of the water vapor satellite show dense water vapor near and moving off icefields. The one in the left upper corner is ice melt from Siberia and the right upper corner is from Greenland and the Arctic Circle where it meets the North Atlantic.

The water vapor was sublimed from the icefields/glaciers/sea ice/ice sheets. In the image below the white image is increasing in extraordinary amounts.

No state, county or city should agree to submit voter rolls to the federal government.

With Preibus as Chief of Staff it was easy to realize the corruption at hand. But, with the administration in Washington steeling citizens identities for extensive corruption of the people's will and truth there is a real need to establish a clear wall to alter fairness in state established and state run election processes.

The states are responsible for "The Vote" and there should be no tampering with it.

After denying for months there was another nuclear incident in Russia....

The IAEA needs to be allowed to make a record of the facts. See, I find it strange the so called accident actually found it's way over Europe because the wind pattern doesn't work that way.

The wind pattern (click here) direction is completely opposite of the pattern prescribed by Russian scientists. I am quite confident President Putin would welcome an investigation by a United Nation's third party to be sure the people of Russia are not sabotaging the legitimacy their authorities.

...Today, however, the Russian Meteorological Service said it detected "extremely high contamination" with ruthenium-106 above the southern Ural Mountains in September. In Argayash, levels of ruthenium-106 were 986 times normal levels in late September, according to Rosgidromet, the weather monitoring service.

Ruthenium-106 is a radioactive isotope of ruthenium, meaning it has a different number of neutrons than the naturally occurring form of the element. The hard, white metal is chemically similar to platinum, and can be produced by dissolving platinum in nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. Ruthenium is incredibly rare and was discovered in 1844 in the Ural Mountains, Live Science previously reported.

Ruthenium-106, however, is not found naturally, according to France's Nuclear Safety Authority. Instead, it is typically produced by the nuclear fission, or splitting, of uranium-235 atoms in nuclear reactors. Ruthenium-106 is also often produced during the reprocessing of nuclear fuel. Nuclear reprocessing involves separating the radioactive plutonium and uranium from spent nuclear fuel from nuclear power reactors, according to the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Ruthenium-106 is also used in head and eye radiation cancer treatments, according to the Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry. It is also found in trace levels in satellites, as part of their thermoelectric generators, according to the Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (IRSN), a French institute focusing on radiological and nuclear risks....

It was the French that discovered the very real and high radioactive reading. I would expect Russia to find fact-finding agreeable to the overall outcome of these issues. There are large bodies of water involved as well.

There is a reality President Putin cannot change and it is best to address this now and protect people as best possible. I think the first step is potassium iodine (Kl) (click here). The levels are 1000 times above normal (click here). Russia really needs to connect to the global network to be sure such emergencies are found as soon as possible and information disseminated.

November 22, 2017
By James Ayre

Earlier this month, (click here) the French nuclear safety institute IRSN released data showing the existence of a “cloud” of radioactive pollution hovering over much of Europe (as of November 9th), with the speculation being that an “accident” had likely occurred at a nuclear facility located either in Russia or in Kazakhstan....

The facts at this point are really very fuzzy. A less myopic view of the wind still doesn't deliver the poison as stated by Russian scientists.

...“At the Agrayash weather station the levels were 986 times those of the previous month, while at the Novogorny station they were 440 times higher. The weather service did not rule out that the radioactive isotope could be absorbed into the atmosphere and reach Europe....

If the global community is to understand the extent the poison is distributed, even into northern Africa, there needs to be a thorough investigation by the IAEA and other agencies as needed.

...The Mayak facility has experienced past nuclear accidents. In 1957, for instance, the world's third biggest nuclear accident, called the Kyshtym disaster, exposed hundreds of thousands of people nearby to radioactive contamination. The two biggest nuclear disasters occurred at the Chernobyl Power Plant in Ukraine and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan, respectively.

I can't believe how corrupt the Trump Administration is and is growing in scope.

I was just reading an article where the FCC stole the identity of Americans to file opinion in favor of destroying net neutrality. That is identity theft. It could impact American lives in affiliating them with a certain point of view that may be biased and false.

I am very concerned for my country and countrymen and women. If the Trump administration is falsifying official government records with false identity of citizens, Americans we are already in Russia.

That is a free wheeling power broker(s) taking authority, false authority over people's identity. What do Americans think Russia does in imprisoning and trying those opposed to such heinous government? This is how false trials begin. One lie after another.

In nearly two decades of observing Earth have I witnessed a triple vortex system. Never.

That tripling effect over the mainland of North America is translating into a triple heat transfer phenomena offshore east coast North America. This structure has been present nearly five days and taking on a permanent status. Today is the first day it has taken on a tripling effect.

That heat transfer is headed for Greenland. It was in the waters between Greenland and North America yesterday.

There is high water vapor content everywhere in this area of Earth, the sun's rays will be heating it and increasing the wind velocity because of it.

Earlier in the week, there was at least 48 hours of a unique heat transfer off the ITCZ to the southern hemisphere. This was a prolonged heat transfer that removed a great deal of water vapor from the ITCZ. But, I believe it was possible due to the large melting off the Greenland Icesheet and Iceland glaciers. With a saturated northern hemisphere and water vapor absorbing the sun's rays the expansion of the air envelope could have caused a venting to a well-saturated area of the planet.

The Azores are still receiving rain and it has begun in Bermuda. The Caribbean Sea is mostly a higher pressure, but, there are near shore storms that are shaped like tornadoes in the western Caribbean. The Gulf of Mexico has been more turbulent than not, the oil platforms must have been evacuated from time to time by now.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders demands reports to be thankful before questioning on LaVar Ball, Roy Moore (click here)...

The press only goes after easy pickin's, not the danger to many. Being paid damages or alimony is not an excuse for endangering the sovereignty of the USA. He can't hurt anyone from behind bars. The judge can make it so.

When the press is faced with veiled threats and censorship, forget "The Exclusive" and 'in mass' attack the problem. The FCC has ruled to limit the exposure to content over the internet. I am confident most tech companies will be seeking lawsuits, but, where is that in the headlines? It should be front page of every newspaper in the country. "Trump censors the internet" What is so terrible that the American people can't be allowed to know the truth?

...Humans (click here) will always have to cope with personal dishonesty. What the Paradise Papers show is how dishonesty is being promoted on a mass scale and how corruption is being institutionalized. The 13.4m files show that what are supposed to be windows of disclosure into the finances of high officials are easily covered with blinds made by piecing together business laws from multiple jurisdictions.

As the super-rich increasingly hold the reins of governments in the US and other countries, the rules to make sure they act with integrity and in the public interest fail. That’s because the rules were written to guard against petty corruption among people of little to no wealth.

None other than Donald Trump told us this. In July 2015, a few weeks after launching his presidential campaign, Trump filed his first financial disclosure statement and then denigrated the requirements. “This report was not designed for a man of Mr. Trump’s massive wealth,” he wrote in a statement.

Conflict of interest, ethics and financial disclosure rules conceived in earlier times to reveal bribes and favors are of little use when the elected or appointed officials are already rich – especially should they seek to evade disclosure of their holdings, hide their unsavory associations and avoid taxes, whether through dubious business structures or outright fraud.

Wilbur Ross, Trump’s commerce secretary, is revealed in the Paradise Papers to do business with the family of Vladimir Putin....

So, with such an appalling revelation as that has President Donald Trump changed the disclosure requirements and if he did, does he live up to them?

The Federal Communications Commission (click here) took aim at a signature Obama-era regulation Tuesday, unveiling a plan that would give Internet providers broad powers to determine what websites and online services their customers see and use.

Under the agency’s proposal, providers of high-speed Internet services, such as Comcast, Verizon and AT&T, would be able to block websites they do not like and charge Web companies for speedier delivery of their content.

The FCC’s effort would roll back its net neutrality regulation which was passed by the agency’s Democrats in 2015 and attempted to make sure all Web content, whether from big or small companies, would be treated equally by Internet providers....

Former US president Bill Clinton (click here) has arrived in Puerto Rico to meet with residents as the island recovers from Hurricane Maria.

He arrived with medical supplies and solar energy equipment donated by the Clinton Foundation, which had already transported 76 tonnes of medicine and medical equipment since the storm hit on 20 September.

Mr Clinton also visited health clinics and the island's largest shelter with Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rossello....

Washington — Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, (click here) a billionaire known for his activism on climate change and gun safety, said he had no grand scheme to become involved in hurricane recovery in the Caribbean.

But what started off as an effort to provide quick emergency assistance in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where his Bloomberg L.P., co-founder Tom Secunda has a home, has turned into new kind of project for Bloomberg and his key aides, putting them at Ground Zero of efforts to rebuild the tiny U.S. territory.

And there's a chance it could grow into a Bloomberg specialty as coastal communities and islands like these cope with increasingly extreme weather.

A team of five Bloomberg aides, many with Hurricane Sandy experience, have embedded themselves with Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp and other key local officials, providing behind-the-scenes guidance on everything from electricity restoration to negotiating additional money from Federal Emergency Management Agency for housing assistance....

Ah, to be a fly on the wall.

Jacinda Ardern (click here) watches as Donald Trump greets Vladimir Putin.

The new Prime Minister of New Zealand should not be apologizing for talking about the discomfort around President Trump.

It is my opinion when President Trump greeted the Prime Minister as Canada's Justin Trudeau's wife, it was done deliberately to belittle the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had every right to speak out about a very nasty misdirection of President Trump's official capacity. The New Zealand people made a wonderful choice in placing her into their country's leadership and it is very wrong to belittle her status among peers.

President Trump has a problem with women in authority.

See, he already meet the Prime Minister and his wife at the White House. It was the day when Americans were allowed to question who actually wears the pants in the Trump family.

21 November 2017

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's story (click here) - and regret - suggesting the United States President mistook her for a politician's wife is making global headlines.

Since Ardern revealed Donald Trump initially thought she was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife at the recent Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Vietnam, the reports have spread internationally.

Stories have appeared in the Washington Post, the Independent, the Guardian and the BBC within hours of Ardern ruing her decision to share a "funny yarn" with a friend.

In a story headlined "New Zealand leader regrets story that suggested Trump mistook her for Trudeau's wife" the Washington Post recounts yesterday's controversial TVNZ interview with Jake Tame where Ardern tries to diffuse the situation saying she doesn't want to cause a diplomatic spat....

I believe Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been invited to New Zealand for a meeting with the newly elected Prime Minister Ardern. I take it Trump didn't meet expectations enough to consider a visit with Kiwis important.

An $85 billion dollar merger is simply wrong for the USA.

The anti-trust lawsuit with AT&T, the second in the companies history, is the right thing to do for all the right reasons, but, once again Trump made it about himself. Amazing.

Recent news reports indicate the Justice Department (click here) has threatened to derail AT&T’s attempted purchase of Time Warner. President Trump so dislikes CNN’s coverage of his administration that he apparently wants to compel Time Warner to spin off the cable news network or face legal uncertainty.

To be clear, if true, these reports mark yet another low in Trump’s ongoing war on the freedom of the press. Outrage at Trump’s attacks on the free flow of information are appropriate and timely. But we should not lose track of the fact that AT&T’s takeover of Time Warner, with or without CNN, would be wildly anti-competitive.

For too long, companies have sought vertical combinations because of purported pro-consumer synergies that never materialize....

The facts are clear, the problems with any such merger will cause problems with the USA economy and consumers will pay the price.

November 20, 2017
By Natalie Gagliordi and Stephannie Condon

...The US Department of Justice (DOJ) (click here) is launching an antitrust lawsuit against AT&T in an effort block its proposed $85 billion takeover of Time Warner....

..."The only appropriate action is to seek an injunction from a federal judge to block the merger," a DOJ official said. When pressed, the DOJ said the antitrust action was in no way influenced by the White House or President Donald Trump's ongoing feud with CNN.

In a statement, AT&T said it was "confident that the court will reject the government's claims and permit this merger under longstanding legal precedent."

In a press briefing Monday afternoon, AT&T chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson said the company has no intention to settle with the Department of Justice.

"Obviously, we're surprised to be here, and candidly, I'm a bit troubled by it," he said. The lawsuit, he said, "stretches the very reach of antitrust law beyond the breaking point."

Stephenson added that the lawsuit "comes at a time when the communications and media industries are undergoing rather radical change."

He cited major companies such as Netflix and Amazon that are distributing content to huge audiences, as well as the creation and distribution of content from tech giants Google and Facebook. By comparison, the suggestion that the combination of AT&T and and Time Warner would create unlawful media power "defies logic and is unprecedented," Stephenson said....

AT&T control access to communication, Netflex and Amazon does not. Amazon might sell phones, but, it does not provide a communication product in the way AT&T does

If AT&T is allowed to obtain HBO, CNN, TBS, TNT and Cinemax it would be a monopoly of program distribution. A consumer would be hostage to a company that could raise costs and fees in order to obtain access to many programs unique to those networks.

If AT&T wants to conduct the same business as Netflex and Amazon does in producing their own programs they can take their $85 billion and do exactly that. But, to monopolize entire channels with many popular programs and their own unique programs, is another issue entirely.

AT&T had a history reaching back to 1885 (click here) and, as a government-supported monopoly, was a highly profitable company. Colloquially known as Ma Bell, the communications giant lost its government backing in the 1980s when charges were filed against it under the Sherman Antitrust Act. This was the second time that AT&T found itself in an antitrust suit. In 1949, AT&T was excused from antitrust laws because it was believed that a single company providing nationwide service was a vital part of national security and any deregulation might interrupt service. The second time under Sherman's hammer AT&T was not so lucky.

The case began in 1974, was decided against AT&T on January 8, 1982, and the breakup plan was formalized throughout 1983. Ma Bell was ordered to give up local calling services to smaller regional spinoffs dubbed the Baby Bells. The parent company would hold on to its long distance business and be allowed to move into computer and Internet businesses. Brought into existence on January 1, 1984, the Baby Bells were some of the most successful spinoffs in history as AT&T had already paid the infrastructure layouts and their businesses were established and producing cash from day one....

It almost seems as though AT&T CEOs have no imagination to improve profits if at all possible. It is always healthy for any successful company basking in cash flow to consider diversified ventures to expand it's own appeal. But, to seek a monopoly of well-established media channels is not the way to do it.

EPS: 79 cents vs. 73 cents, according to Thomson Reuters (click here)

Revenue: $39.84 billion vs. $39.79 billion, according to Thomson Reuters

Wireless net adds: 2.8 million vs. 1.08 million, according to StreetAccount

It has always been my opinion that FOX was a monopoly on an entire media segment that dictated political dialogue. But, since 2014, FOX has started selling off it's monopoly. I think the Fantastic Four has never been better since FOX let them go.

Oh, by the way, Chris Wallace needs to rethink what constitutes a moral dialogue on his show. I saw about 5 minues of his Sunday show where "Roy Moore" must have been stated 100 times. It was so much propaganda I had no use for the program.

So, if AT&T obtains Time Warner, it is another potential exploitation of the consumer and far too big media/telecommunication company that will be tempted to direct the political discourse of the USA and any other country it sees fit to do so.

Beauties and the beast of hate.

This has been a very busy weekend with a family wedding. I still have guests, so I will leave you in the very beautiful hands of Miss Israel Adar Gandelsman and   Miss Iraq Sarah Idan; and there quest for peace for the people of their lands. These lovely ladies seek only the high aspirations demanded of their hopes and dreams. They may very well be on the verge of uniting the women of Iraq and Israel is a dialogue to end ethnic hate and religious hate. (click here)

It won't be the first time hate was ended by women.

After three of her sister’s children were killed during the violence (click here) between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland, Mairead Maguire organized massive demonstrations and other action calling for a nonviolent end to the conflict. Along with Betty Williams, she is the co-founder of Peace People, and together the two women won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1976. She has spent her life since then to bearing witness to oppression and standing in solidarity with people living in conflict, including most in Syria....

Peace. Until later...

Trenton --  The race to replace Gov. Chris Christie is over, (click here) but a nagging question remains: Why did Virginia just take New Jersey to school when it comes to voter turnout?

The latest tally of votes by the Associated Press as of 9:16 a.m. on Wednesday had 2,019,665 votes being cast in the Garden State on Tuesday.  According to the latest state Division of Elections data, 5,754,862 voters were registered to vote in Tuesday's election.

That puts our preliminary voter turnout at a laughably low 35.1 percent, well below even those predictions of a record-low turnout.

But in Virginia's governor's race, the turnout was the highest in 20 years, and more than 12 points higher.

While New Jersey's vote totals could change as the final 1 percent of precinct tallies are counted and reported, they are "abysmal," says Monmouth University Polling Institute director Patrick Murray.

Murray had earlier predicted turnout was likely to be a record low, but still well above that on Election Day....
