My impressions?

The family is understandably upset. They are from the Caucases and are sensitive to issues such as this. The Caucases have a long history of violence and any inkling of same will automatically become a huge issue and rightfully so.

I would not expect the FBI to release information of an ongoing investigation. SOP. The investigation into Mr. Todashev's death encompasses a larger investigation and probably includes at least one lawsuit, so the public won't be hearing much for awhile.

What is troubling is the inconsistencies dribbling out of the FBI. The inconsistencies relay a picture of near torture. Seven bullets, if I have that right, it was seven bullets. That is one shooter.  The shooter unloaded the chamber. There was one gunman that killed him. Understanding why that shooter acted is to understand his death.

Why would one shooter have reason? 'Suspicion of explosive device being worn.' Another word is suicide bomber. That is the way I see it right now.

I am sure the new director of the FBI has more than enough to keep him busy in one day, but, he should give this some attention with a statement about the young man's death. It would help the family and the region of the world most troubled by the secrecy.

Elizabeth Cheney said, "...we can no longer afford simply to go along to get along,"

She believes in obstructionist government. The Tea Party does believe in obstructionist government. 

That is the last thing the USA needs. We need members of the Senate to work together to solve the country's problems, not create new ones.

Wyoming doesn't need someone who is going to make it more difficult to solve problems in Washington, DC. Wyoming needs someone with experience to get the job done. Elizabeth Cheney is not that person.

The UN Security Council should ask member nations to send assistance to Panama. The closest members is the permanent member USA and non-permanent member Argentina.

The "Stand Your Ground" law legitimatizes murder through the choices made by the individual.

It provides a venue of killing through prejudice of those already biased by whatever means that bias exists.

The statistics involving "Stand Your Ground" laws will not show up in crime statistics at any level.

O'mara and West are corrupt in their understanding of the law that obstructed success for the prosecution.

O'Mara and West are basically saying, "We've got this civil rights thing, George. Don't worry about it."

They are incorrect.

If I may? 

The law is blind. However, the law was passed ignoring the reality of the populous of Florida. The act of Mr. Zimmerman hit on a very sensitive statistic. A statistic that is known both through fact and is palpable. Mr. Zimmerman acted without consider of the reality of his own status. 

When the descriptor of his actions hit on an African American young man there was a reality ignored by the Florida legislator that translated into a very real nightmare. The Stand Your Ground law allowed Zimmerman to fire at will without regard to whom he was shooting or why. He as a beneficiary of the law to protect his rights and did not act prudently in realizing the imposition of that law on other's rights. 

That is somewhat abstract, but, laws are sometimes lifted in the USA to provide for more liberal rights of citizens. More often than not when rights are lifted to enhance citizen rights there is also an understanding of the responsibility that accompanies those rights. In order to lift laws there has to be accompanying responsibility demonstrated to provide for the aspect of the law that protected others not benefiting from it. That is not a play on words, it is real.

That did not happen with Zimmerman. While the statistics of killings have increased in states with Stand Your Ground laws across the board, when the descriptor included African American it victimized a sensitive community that ALREADY experiences oppression due to gun violence. It is the responsibility of those receiving the benefits of freedom to act responsibility. "We don't need for you to do that." He unlawfully took the life of an African American man that was previously protected before the law passed. 

Can average citizens be expected to be 'mindful' of all the paradigms of more liberal laws? That is a question no one has answered yet. The African American community does not need more policing by oppressive standards. The Stand Your Ground Law is wrong, dangerous, proven to be dangerous and increases the incidence of the danger to the community. Why? Because the statistical increase is ABSOLUTE. The statistical increase is death. The statistical increase enhances the descriptor the community is still suffering under.

The Zimmerman Case is proof of the Stand Your Ground Law and the permission it gives to aggrieve a community in the USA. Was that the design of the law? Was that completely malpractice of the Florida legislature? Were the actions of the law allowed to turn lose protections to prejudice and hate? 

I apologize if any of my language causes bad feelings in anyway, but, it is my language and the way I use it in this context and other venues. My choice of words is not made to inflict pain or ill will.

ALEC affiliation of dangerous laws will enhance any legal actions.

ALEC (click here) is NOT about States Rights. 

ALEC is unconstitutional. 

ALEC homogenizes States Rights. 

ALEC creates a PARALLEL government of CORPORATE governance.

ALEC has to be challenged based on unconstitutional basis across the board. It definitely imposes a corporate profit driven basis and removes the rights of citizens. The outcomes with democracy is dominated by amounts of money spent on campaigns. It is all based in commercial capitalism statistics. It puts democracy and our USA Constitution up for sale.

The reason ALEC works is because Freedom of Speech allows vast freedoms to 'paid for advertising' to corrupt the thinking of consumers against their own best interests. It has nothing to do with democracy, it corrupts democracy and removes free will. 

ALEC is a challenge to the USA sovereignty. 

ALEC is subversive to democratic principles within the USA Constitution. 

This is no joke, this is life and death of innocent citizens.

Is OBESITY in the best interest of the citizen? Of course not. Everyone knows that. What has resulted in the USA? It is that Freedom of Speech paradigm that has turned citizens against their own best interests. The list is lengthy and impressive to the corporate governance of Freedom of Speech. There are direct relationships between corporate profits and citizens accepting assaults against their own best interests.

Every law in the USA has it's limits, including Freedom of Speech. Rights end where danger to citizens begin. No citizen is exempt from endangering lives when yelling fire in a theater that causes a stampede for exits when there is no fire at all. It is instinctual to realize the dangers of extremism. People in a democracy understand 'certain things' about living within that democracy. Those 'things' are abstract and live within the culture. 

Culture is vulnerable and that is recognized by magnificent institutions such as the United Nations. An assault against a culture that causes deaths leading to genocidal trends is litigable in the World Court. These trends are subversive to living.

The Culture of Corporate Governance of the USA is an assault against the Culture of Freedom as defined in the USA Constitution. While people speak with money is some aspects, THAT 'money speech' is corrupted by profit motives that use the best interests of citizens against themselves. 

Allowing MONEY to have the status of a citizen allows a corruptible entity in the rights of citizens. It has and continues to lead to dehumanizing the USA Constitution and provides cultural corruption that kills. Money does not have a thinking mind and does not have 'instincts' except what the citizen assigns it. The ultimate power of money within a democracy has to lie in the hands of those mindful of their instincts and THEIR appropriate PROPORATION of that power.

Why Florida?

California has strict gun laws. 

Texas has less population density.

Why not Georgia? Exactly the reason average folks would believe it should have happened in Georgia. The higher the percentage of African Americans in a community the stronger the understanding of their reality and the less likelihood the act of violence in unpredictable killing.

It all bears out.

I don't want to hear how legislators cannot act to protect it's citizens. Don't want to hear the arguments propagated by greed.

This is a chart illustrating where the African American populations in the USA are highest. The third state on the list is Florida. 

Knowing the prejudice and fear the African American community feels about their young men and matching it with population density the statistic of wrongful death is completely clear.

I don't want to hear how the community's FEELINGS does not enter in to the understanding of the brevity of this reality.

I don't want to hear how the minority populations in the USA hold long held fears that no longer exist.

Why don't I want to hear it?

Because the law that cut down an innocent young black man is based on THE FEELING OF THE THREAT OF DEATH as a right to firing a gun and killing.

If such laws can exist to facilitate killing, then the feeling of THE THREAT of guns and prejudice to the living is just as valid.

All these guns laws are based in crony politics and donations to win elections. They and other draconian and wrongful legislation never used sound reasoning to pass them. We as a nation are faced with a deadly dangerous POPULOUS political movement of self-righteousness without regard to RESPONSIBLE public policy.

Gun Control Laws Work

The northeast USA consistently has the lowest gun deaths in the country, CONSISTENTLY across the region.

When there are articles that homogenize the nation's statistics to illustrate there is a drop in the murder rate, it is to hide THE TRUTH.

An drop in the NATIONAL rates takes advantage of the SUCCESS of gun control laws in high populous states. 

To understand why gun control laws work the answer is to examine the population density of the state and even cities. Alaska and Louisiana are among the most deregulated states in the nation and it shows. 

When average citizens handle guns they do not discern the brevity of the circumstances of the human killing, they take a self-righteous defensive understanding and they kill. Police are trained to walk among citizens while being armed and have demands on their job descriptions for a margin of safety for the citizen. It isn't easy being a police officer. Often that margin of safety plays into the wounding and death of the officer. But, when one considers how often an officer is faced with confrontation of citizens on a daily basis the ratio of THAT ERROR is small. The problem is THAT ERROR is final.

Anderson Cooper conducted an interview yesterday evening. I didn't watch it because I already knew what occurred. I know that sounds self-righteous, but, I am confident others already knew the outcome as well. It is the laws. The one segment I saw and heard this morning stated, "The law was very confusing." The "Stand Your Ground" law goes too far. It creates a self-righteous bubble around gun owners. It is open season on human beings in states where this law exists.

The statistics bear out the truth. Where there are guns and liberal and draconian gun laws, people die in higher numbers. All the hubris and demands of the NRA is about money, not important rights for citizens. The NRA panders to murder and exoneration of preforming it. This is completely ludicrous. As Tracy Martin stated immediately upon finding his son was dead, "He went to the store." 

Now, the self-righteous attorneys making plenty of money in this cases and getting COSTS of litigation for their clients, want to blame the victim. O'Mara and West have been doing nothing but blaming the victim since the verdict. That is oppression of the innocent. When death of an innocent person is justified it creates a culture of caution that INSTITUTIONALIZES oppression.

The laws are the problem and the institutionalization of the hubris is the ONLY problem. Trayvon Martin should be alive today and Zimmerman in prison wondering how all this happened. "Stand Your Ground" turns justice on it's head. "Stand Your Ground" will demand people previously unwilling to shoot a gun for self-protection or otherwise to seek it to attempt to master the oppression they all realize now exists. And those same people will be convinced gun control doesn't work because of the cultural lies that exist.

In the statistics on that gun map it is absolutely amazing to realize how high populous states actually have less deaths per 100,000 people. The map is from 2007. The laws were not as stringent in 2007 in those same states as today. The death rate in those states will fall that much more now. Countering that success with gun laws in the USA will be the increase in deaths in states with liberal AND ABSENT gun laws. The NRA and gun lobby will tout the fall in gun deaths in the nation as if their gun sales are actually the reason, when it is nothing but homogenizing the statistics and promoting gun sales at the same time.

Gun Control Laws are correct and NECESSARY. Citizen safety is to overwhelm the Wall Street profits. 

If we are to honor the unjustified death of a dearly loved son in Florida the 'micro-arguments' justifying far reaching liberal laws has to be viewed for the deeply damaging results that occur.

The map above charts (click here) firearm deaths for the 50 states plus the District of Columbia. Note that these figures include accidental shootings, suicides, even acts of self-defense, as well as crimes. As of 2007, 10.2 out of every 100,000 people were killed by firearms across the United States, but that rate varies dramatically from state to state. In Hawaii, at the low end, it was 2.6 per 100,000; in New York and New Jersey it was 5.0 and 5.2 respectively. At the high end, 21.7 out of every 100,000 residents of the District of Columbia were killed by guns, 20.2 in Louisiana, 18.5 in Mississippi, and 17.8 in Alaska. Arizona ranked eighth nationally, with 15.1 deaths per 100,000.

Statistically this murder was going to happen and it did. Are we, as a nation, not obligated to protect all of us in the face of realizing profits for the few.

Suspicious

Having or showing a cautious distrust of someone or something.

When one reads that Merriam-Webster definition closely it is from the perspective of owing the feeling.

When one types in the word suspicious into Google with no other descriptors this is what results.

It is a Caucasian man with suspicion on his mind as expressed by his eyes. The reason I bring this up is because I have a theory and it is based in 'learned perception.'

Learning usually means some level of emotional competency.

The picture is characterizing a person in control of the suspicion. Remember that. This Caucasian man IS suspicious and has control of that suspicion. Got it?

 The limbic system (or paleomammalian brain) is a complex set of brain structures that lies on both sides of the thalamus, right under the cerebrum. It is not a separate system, but a collection of structures from the telencephalon, diencephalon, and mesencephalon.

The limbic system includes the hippocampus, amygdala, anterior thalamic nuclei, septum, habenula, limbic cortex and fornix. It supports a variety of functions, including emotion, behavior, motivation, long-term memory, and olfaction.

I am not complaining about Google. The search engine is random. I trust that randomness. It has never failed to prove to be random when asking for results.


Ready?

When I type in suspicious hoodie, this is what I get. And this is the most benign picture I could find. But, the race changes throughout the experiment, as unscientific as it is.

This black man is not in charge of being suspicious, he is the victim of those suspicious of him. That is huge. A single word when used in relation to a piece of clothing loses the meaning of the word completely. 

It has been in recent decades the limbic system has been studied for it's impact on the human brain, how it operates and how that translates into learning and behavior.

For as long as I can remember emotional learning of fear and suspicion was played out on television and movies by black men. The emotional learning of generations of Americans when it comes to fear and suspicion has leveled approval at the cost of the Black American Man.

I could go on and on about the socio-economic oppression that has resulted by all that but it is mute. We have a prison system full of Black American Men with little or no recourse to change their lives. That isn't the point. When a emotional learning of fear or suspicion occurs it lasts for a lifetime. It is sometimes called PTSD depending on it's depth. If one follows the theory I propose there is profound need for removal of stereotypes of all kinds across the spectrum of our media and learning of each other. 

There was once a Supreme Court Judge that demanded busing for a balanced learning experience of our children. The reason was not so much to state assets had to be equal for equal learning, but, more important was to bring about an understanding we are all Americans, born into equal circumstances. He was brilliant.

What occurred over the decades since that Supreme Court decision was segregation. Separate, but, equal SOMETIMES. The idea suspicion and fear is dark and black and manifests in particular ways as perceived by the average American is manifesting from somewhere. It is learned.

We have a problem. Because if I am right, over the decades this has occurred was an engrained image of suspicion, fear and hate that will last yet generations even if we change everything today and right now. 

The saving grace in all this is that there has been incredible insight over the decades Americans have struggled with their suspicions. "To Kill a Mockingbird" was a masterpiece to bring about social awareness. It is not a  minor movie. It has a great deal of depth to the need for our society to change.

If we can learn to be suspicious, in fear and hate. Then we can unlearn it. We desperately, as a nation, need to unlearn it. We need to remove the long engrained image in media of the nameless, faceless Black Man. It has to stop.

Senator Harkin delivered an address to the Senate today calling the chronic filibuster by the GOP a nomninations crisis.

...“I rise today to talk (click here) about the critical nominations that the Senate is currently considering.  In all of the talk about these nominations – about the politics of recess appointments or the implications of changes to the Senate rules – I think one thing that has been too often missing from the discussion is a real consideration of who these nominees are and what they have done, and could do, to serve our country. 

“We seem to have forgotten what we are supposed to be doing in fulfilling our duty to advise and consent to Presidential nominations.  We are supposed to be looking at the qualifications of the candidates and determining if they are fit to serve.  The answer with all seven of the nominees before us today is an unqualified ‘yes.’  And that should be the end of our task.  We should confirm them all today and move on to the many other important issues facing this body....

Senator Harkin should know his point of view is backed back home. I don't see the changes will threaten the minority party at all should a simple minority ever go past nominations. 

The GOP has a majority in the House, dysfunctional as it is, that can easily bring legislation laced heavily with conservative principles (if there is such a thing anymore) to conference. Besides, the House is not involved in nominations. The President is being inhibited from doing his work. Recently, Secretary Neapolitan resigned from Homeland Security. It is simply unacceptable to have this level of obstructionism in the Senate. The GOP needs to come up with a real strategy for elections rather than one made for TV movies.

A filibuster rules change will serve all of these laudable ends.
How so? Currently, the mere threat of a filibuster is treated as if it were the real thing. It takes 60 votes to get past the mere threat. That’s a little like kowtowing to the kid who threatens to hold his breath until he turns blue, when you should be saying, “Go ahead, make my day.”...

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

The Libertarians have always wanted to get rid of the 16th Amendment. Now, it would seem it is fashionable for the GOP to join them. It will never happen. It is as difficult to repeal a Constitutional Amendment as it is to pass one, but, I suppose some folks will throw money at him for just saying it.

The State of Florida Legislature said...

...you can have any gun you want with a minor clearance if at all.

And.

You can conceal carry that weapon without question.

And.

Should you be pushed down and scrape your knee and feel threatened for your life, you can use that gun and kill that person that knocked you down. You can do that without a second thought so long as you feel threatened for you life. It doesn't matter if the other person has that capacity the law will assume it was possible and no one ever will expect you to 'think it through.' Not for a minute.

Then the O'Mara Defense Team came along and stated "It was about defense." Nothing can justify prosecution.

The greater ill will came from the State of Florida Legislature and they did it at the cost of the citizen and they did it for politics and money to their political war coffers.

The law is perverse and Mr. Martin and his family have fallen victim to it. Attorneys are now the green light to unmitigated killing. It doesn't matter that hate exists on a social scale, now people can kill it.

Mr. O'Mara is incorrect.

The Zimmerman Case was not about self-defense. It was about the pursuit of a young man walking home. I find the implication that it took Trayvon Martin a long time to cover a short distance before being murdered more than an implication to the justification of his profiling. That is manipulative and unwarranted. He never, in his travel to his father's home, committed any crime or scoped out any potential crime. A young woman on the cell phone with Mr. Martin TESTIFIED he was dodging raindrops.  How dare you!

I understand Mr. Zimmerman has left with his family. That was a fairly decent thing to do. I doubt sincerely it would be easy for anyone on either side of this issue to happen across each other while conducting their daily lives. I think it was a good idea. It shows respect and remorse to a certain extent. This was a tragedy unlike anything anyone could imagine. It is painful for everyone, including many Americans who would never have known Trayvon Martin before any of this. It is somewhat of a relief that Mr. Zimmerman has taken leave from the neighborhood. I wish him no ill will. He should NOT feel retribution from anyone. I mean that. 

You know the African American community in the USA knows what it is to be targets. They know all to well. No one needs to dredge up the old feelings of hooded madmen on their way to self-prescribed justice. In my heart of hearts I sincerely believe there is a greater ill will at work here and all need to remind themselves of the hatred we dispel as our own. We don't need to own hatred of any man or any woman to achieve a higher calling in regard this matter. We have people listening. There is an ongoing investigation. We cannot become the hate we so much disdain. Just don't go there. We are all better than that. 

I really don't care where he went. No lie. I hope he rides every boogie board between here and hell. And he should do it in good health.

AG Holder has been my hero for some time now. He is tough while keeping a perspective the interpretation of the law deserves.

The Boston Herald is a conservative newsprint. I would not expect this level of concern for the victim after a jury verdict. As I stated before, people know instinctively when a death is wrong.

The laws of Florida provided safe harbor for this verdict of vigilantism accompanied by racial dynamics. If Zimmerman cannot be held for federal violations, then the State of Florida should.

This death is just wrong. It just is.

McConnell is nothing more than whining idiot waiting for his divorce papers. Get it over with. McConnell would do it to the Democrats in a heart beat, don't try to tell me otherwise. Tradition be damned. There is absolutely NOTHING civil about the GOP in the Senate and certainly NOTHING traditional either.

The run of obstructionism by the GOP in both the House and Senate has never been witnessed in the USA before. They are nothing more than political thugs and highway robbers.

Senator Reid should be ashamed at being this gullible. Tradition and friendship is fine when it is reciprocated. Right now Reid's respect for tradition and working across the aisle is making him look like a real Democratic Ass.

It's not so much the actual temperature as it is the combination of heat and humidity. The 'Heat Index' was already in the 80s at 5:00 a.m., and was expected to get around 100 later in the day....

The current climate circumstances started a few days ago. It was a sea change in seeking water vapor. The system is slightly similar to the system that spawned Sandy last year. Arctic Origins but dipping below TO the continental - ocean borders.

The margins of the system are consolidating. Now what difference does that make? Well the water vapor in the south is limited. The margins are going to collapse into a tighter circulation system that now has to share it's VELOCITY in a smaller water vapor distribution. Guess what is going to happen when the 'heat calories' become more and more concentrated in their 'geological' water vapor content?

Yep. More turbulence. Turn up the heat with no release into the ocean and we are cookin'. It is really easy to note the difference in Water Vapor along the equatorial margin in these satellites. When the water vapor distribution was wide on July 11th the equatorial water vapor was basically undisturbed. Now it is starved and the current turbulence of the concentrated system has robbed that water vapor to assist in heat concentration. The higher the water vapor concentration in a system the more volatile it becomes.

These are coastal temperatures. If one recalls I frequently mention 'sea spray' as a source of water vapor for the modern day tropical depressions and their acceleration. The Western Gulf is where the current system is consolidating.

That is a full 1.1 degrees above average. As each year has gone by that 'average' increases in minor measure, but, it does increase. The average is a moving baseline and does not reflect the optimal temperatures for a healthy troposphere at all. But, the average is a strong indication past years have been significantly lower.

Mr. Johnson is daft. There is nothing on the moon but footprints, left over trash and rover tracks. If Mr. Johnson wants to propose a national park he needs to do it where citizens actually can participate and enjoy it. This is such nonsense they pull.

Then after hearing this mess we actually expect children and young people to take their learning seriously.

Texas Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson’s (click here) latest bill is out of this world.
Johnson, along with Rep. Donna Edwards, D-Md., introduced a bill this week that would designate a national park on the moon.

It would mark the landing of 11 Apollo missions since 1969, which the bill calls “one of the 10 greatest achievements in American history.”

The park would be called the Apollo Lunar Landing Sites National Historical Park, of course, and be established within one year.

The purpose of designating the space, the bill states, is to “improve public understanding of the Apollo program and its legacy,” as well as protecting lunar artifacts leftover from the missions.

Humans have not traveled to the moon in more than four decades.
Johnson, an active proponent of science funding and programs, was the first female ranking member of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
