One of the first executive orders Trump signed demanded Freedom of Speech for all. So now CBS is making a financial decision to silence Colbert.

Why did Trump sign an executive order for freedom of speech with the First Amendment providing it already?

Attack on Senior Citizens

Many Seniors are satisfied with their Medicare choices. Now, if a Medicare recipient wants to skip the enrollment period and just keep their coverage they are penalized with a charge of uncertain destination, except, maybe to Trump’s pocket or to pay for that ugly old bill he signed. So, Seniors fully retired will have to give up a piece of their Social Security to satisfy the charge on their medical coverage if they want to maintain what they already have, including policies with no monthly fees. 

Why aren’t we hearing from the healthcare industry or the AMA? They weren’t consulted or perhaps they all think this is just great.

The USA has accepted immigrants for over a century to this country. They have come and helped make the USA into the superpower it is today. Now, Trump is rounding up immigrants, where is he going to put them all? 

There are many senior citizens in this country on Medicaid as well as Medicare and now they are part of a drag net by ICE.

Nobel Peace Prize

Giving Donald John Trump a Nobel Peace Prize is like giving it to Idi Amin Dada post humorously.

Creating a nuclear disaster for the sake of ending Iran’s nuclear program is grossly disrespectful of life itself.

Trump has no respect for Earth either. He has increased military spending to $1 trillion US resulting in enormous increases in greenhouse gas emissions.

While Vermont is experiencing the climate crisis in unprecedented storms, Trump is suing the state for a law that holds the petroleum industry responsible for the state’s adversity. That adversity includes the agricultural sector. There are other states he has ordered Pam Bondi to assault while completely ignoring State’s Rights.

There are more reasons to distance from Trump than not in regard to The Nobel.

If the Scrooge in the White House doesn’t want to spend the money to distribute this food, then other countries should have the chance to do so. 

I am certain if Pope Leo was asked for advice in distribution of emergency supplies he could find plenty of help.

Early evacuation in high rainfall areas

Now, look, I am tired of people dying unnecessarily. 

The prediction paths for tropical depression Dexter are below. They are remarkably similar to the 2024 Hurricane Helene (click here) that killed so many in North Carolina and Tennessee.

I don’t care if citizens are complaining they know best and the storm won’t affect them; they need to value life more than that and move out of the way. 

The people in the path of this storm need to plan now to leave for shelter at higher elevations and away from water in the way of creeks, streams, and rivers, and the potential debris field. 

These storms make their own rivers so that is why the debris field has to be assessed for heavy rainfall.

When it was decided The World Cup would be sponsored in 2026 by the USA these excess costs did not present as a problem in that decision. So now we know. Netanyahu and Trump met for almost an entire day in Washington DC under the guise of cease-fire and peace. Is that what Benjamin Netanyahu came to Washington for? No. He, no different than all those other names I mentioned, came to Washington DC to fan the flames of hate, anger, and violence so Trump wouldn’t be lost to them. 

So now we know. When these men meet, they were not interested in peace, they met interested in a far greater plot to control the world‘s wealth. They do not care about people. They do not care if they are the only ones in this world. They are interested in controlling the world’s wealth through wanton power. 

Donald Trump did not come out of his meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu announcing the progress he made with the Prime Minister. He came out of the meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu without any progress at all and to save face as a tough guy he cranks up tariffs, under control of the president of the United States of America, as a form of intimidation to the country of Brazil.

Somewhere within the US defense department, and I did say defense department, was someone who stopped sending munitions to Ukraine. Did Trump know who that might be? He states not. Does he know at all what’s going on in the United States of America defense department?

Recently, the human rights court found more violations of human rights violations with Vladimir Putin. The same court now has to document all the other human rights violations going on with all these other leaders. They control power they should never have. The power they control kill people. When realizing they are more interested in real estate and wealth, the people they kill are completely meaningless to them.

So. Now we know. Even when an enormous spending bill that diminishes the credit rating of the USA is passed, it is not about the people, it is about acquiring and keeping wealth in as few hands in this world as possible.

If any of these men state they are interested in peace, they are lying.

Trump is abusing the power of the presidency. 

This is the climate crisis. It is highly volatile. This meteorologist does an excellent job of understanding the dynamics.

This is very unusual, but, becoming more common. No different than western North Carolina had an upper atmospheric disturbance that was new to our troposphere which literally exploded the mountain tops. 

This storm over Kerrville was literally a micro-hurricane/tropical storm. That is an astounding reality. Once the micro-hurricane over the river occurred the larger system (MCV) increased the turbulence, added to the rainfall, and caused catastrophic flooding that carried debris into a flood plain that had experience with flash floods.

That land has never experienced any storm as intense as this regardless of it's history of flash floods. This was more than a flash flood, this was a micro-hurricane.

The lead in to prediction of these systems are more like that of tornadoes rather than hurricanes or thunderstorms.

Americans have to get used to the idea that there is a climate crisis causing catastrophic events. The tragedy in Texas was in the lowlands. The tragedy in western North Carolina began at the mountain tops. The respect these storms require is significant. The evacuation has to be anticipatory because the critical warning system is too short to effect an evacuation that saves lives.

Again, the warning system has to be anticipatory rather than actual. People have to respect the warning and move away from the danger. Americans have become to resistant to move when a danger is called. These are not Category Four or Category Five storms. They are not as scary in the initial understanding of the danger. However, they demand far more respect than they are getting and people must change their way of thinking when it comes to evacuation. ANY potential must be respected. ANY POTENTIAL. Being a TOUGH AMERICAN is not being a smart American. These storms will not simply pass and everyone will be okay. They are highly volatile. They are very dangerous.

The tail of a hurricane after wildfires.

Anytime there is rain of any kind following wildfires the chances of land instability is greater. Land slides can occur as well. People need to understand the relationship of land and water that allow danger. Perfectly wonderful places can turn into nightmares for climate conditions comprising paradise. 

In New Mexico we are missing a father and his two children because of unrealized danger. My sincere condolences to all family and friends of these people who will be missed by the community. Adults are missed at work, their place of worship, and the neighborhood. Children are missed by all that touched their lives; parents, playmates, teachers, pastors, family, and friends.

Tragic loss is so much more than a sad statistic.

Texas is doing everything humanly possible.

When these tragedies occur the infrastructure has failed. We see this all the time, especially with rain. The infrastructure in western North Carolina not only failed it was destroyed. Roads were gone. People stranded. Some rescuers used horses to reach the people because horses defy the need for infrastructure. Not that it isn’t dangerous, but, pack mules escorted by riders on horseback provided more immediate relief.

This tragedy in Texas is a bit different. Tragic, but, different. Geologists at some point need to evaluate the headwaters that caused this tidal wave of water and debris. Understanding what occurred here can prevent the next one. 

Right now the river and land are unstable and the heavy equipment is to reverse that to facilitate the search. But, even these in roads of hope may not be permanent. That wall of water came from somewhere and not just the sky. The best thing that can happen is for local people to move away from lower elevations until it is known this can’t happen again. In some ways the debris is more of a killer than the water. That is what occurred in North Carolina and it sounds, from reports, that is what happened here as well.

Do not stay in the flood plain.

Additional rain will increase instability.

Mud is not a reasonable footing.

The entire area that received water causing flooding has been disturbed and is no longer reliable to past experience with that land or river.

There is no degree of safety in that flood plain. Those searching must stop until it is clear to look again. There is no degree of luck that matters. Anymore rain increases the danger. Any search and rescue dogs cannot work in dangerous conditions.

Everyone move to safe elevation.

Those missing and alive can be located with infrared technology. 

Where are the ministers? 

Those lost are from all over the country.

I would not be surprised if there were international visitors. 

Those searching, including family members, must get out of the flood zone when more storms are EXPECTED.
