Putin is having a fit about Iran, too.
Vladimir Putin is a bit of a predictable president. If it looks like he is going to act, then he is preparing to do just that. He might be going back to Syria with crosshairs on Iran. I would be surprised if this is about NATO.

I am not impressed. I still think it is about Syria, Iran, and the Middle East. It would be imprudent to over react.
If this were about NATO Russia would be weakening his front with Syria and Iran further. Iran has been an ally to
Russia. Russia has destroyed the Syrian rebels before. I think there is still a Russian port in Syria. Putin has been making accolades about the Black Sea and movements there. It points to the Middle East. Turkey would have a clearer understanding than anyone else.
Netanyahu and Trump are openly aggressive about the Iranian nuclear program.
Talking about a ceasefire with Ukraine allows relief to Russia’s military to focus elsewhere.
Erdogan has been coming down on citizens about his control. That is because he is nervous about the region.

The USA border is being viewed as an unpredictable place by many people traditionally comfortable with traveling here. It is not because the Canadian government is warning citizens to stay home.

Europe’s precautions have changed because of recent detentions. Those detentions of people openly welcome into Canada gives people pause.
I imagine Canadians owning land and homes in the USA will be here to visit, but, the legal crossings at normal points of entry are seeing less Canadians coming to visit.
Trump scares people. Just that simple. I believe that is deliberate on the president’s part. He thinks it will scare away illegal crossings. It works on vacationers, too.
It is important Congress remove all those restrictions for Canadians as well as end the tariffs with Canada. The USA and Canada have always been the closest of allies, including trade. Congress must end these hostile policies.
Congress needs to be defend those bills if the president refuses to sign it.

Evangelicals are global. They were kicked out of Russia when Putin called the diaspora home and closed the borders at least five years ago. They should be careful. This level of greed and hate will spawn the same. Other countries will start to look around and decide about all this.
Trump goes against the belief system of the world. Up to now the USA had a benevolent presence that encouraged cooperation between countries to heal old wounds and bring about better quality of life. Trump has turned against all that.

Mexico needs to build desalination plants
A desalination plant won't solve the short term problem. There will have to be supplies brought in from other countries. Mexico will have to develop autonomy in meeting the needs of the people. There needs to be investment in infrastructure. There are some wealthy folks in Latin America. They should concentrate on the people's needs and the capitalism that will satisfy those needs.
None of this should be happening overnight. There must be processes, especially with allies, that allow their ultimate independence. This is inhumane. If the river is stunted because of use in the USA from it's headwaters, then trucking water in has to be considered.

In the first quarter of 2024, the country's agricultural production fell by 6.1 percent, according to a report from the Bank of Mexico. Activity in the north-central regions, which includes the border states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, and Nuevo León, fell by 3.3 percent. The country has sought emergency water deliveries to alleviate the strain on its water systems....

Family farms have it rough enough, now Trump is making it worse.
Family farms are a beautiful way of life. They work long hours at all times of day. The work is mostly hard work. They deserve the trust and faith of the federal government to deliver wholesome food to those most in need.
Farmers as a community are also already under stress with some suffering from mental health issues. This is the last thing these farmers and their community need.
The farmers should be talking to their federal legislators about this. Just because they are not corporate farms is no reason to abandon them.
Green Bay Zoo needs help with a missing otter.
Evidently two otters were able to escape their enclosure and were missing. One returned, but, the other did not. If there is a chance a young person thinks they are caring for a wild otter, they would be mistaken.
Please return the missing otter to the zoo. His friend misses him.

When is a government buy out of its talent not a government buy out?
When it is a Trump political stunt.
Oh, yes. Those employees are no longer working, they were basically laid off with pay until September 30, 2025.
September 30, 2025 is the end of the fiscal year. A new federal budget starts on October 1, 2025.
The money the federal employees are receiving are their BUDGETED SALARIES. They are not receiving a buy out.
This is a political stunt for Trump to satisfy his ravenous followers expecting him to, like in “The Apprentice,” fire them. This is a hoax.
The way the corporate downsizing of the federal government SHOULD HAVE taken place, was to supply notice to all the EMPLOYEES their jobs would be eliminated at the end of this fiscal year. In doing so, those employees could find new jobs or look to transfer into jobs still existing but vacant.
This so called “firing” is fraud. The employees should be at work supplying valuable services to the people. Social Security lines should not be out the doors with Americans suffering waiting for their rightful help.
Trump is committed fraud and the employees receiving the so called “corporate buy out” should return to their jobs and allow their services to be eliminated PROPERLY by department leaders who are capable of downsizing their departments effectively and efficiently.
The American people should be outraged at the Trump White House for carrying out fraud and attempt to coup their effective government. Any congressional member “playing along to get along” should be looking at a recall election. Now.
This is a joke, right?
Look, his actual real world value is not what people think. Space X is not a Wall Street commodity. It is a private company with cash flow compliments of the USA Treasury. If the contracts for space flight and satellite communications stopped the company would go bankrupt in 24 hours. The USA does not need Space X. Space X needs the USA Treasury. Space exploration still goes on as a sovereign authority without Musk.
The guy is an icon futurist. His world is not real. He is not an engineer and couldn’t build a rocket if his life depended on it. Trump posed with a Tesla because it is the only money Musk has other than the USA Treasury. Tesla is floating primarily because of China. DoGE is raiding the USA Treasury for a reason and it has nothing to do with relief for the people.
Musk needs to be stopped. He replaced Verizon. Who’s next?
