The Brookfield Zoo Wind Chime

MAYWOOD, Ill. Twelve-year-old Kaylee doesn't fuss much about being taken to the hospital -- as long as she's kept nice and damp. The eight-and-a-half-foot long bottleneck dolphin made her second trip in as many months from Brookfield Zoo to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood last night.
The dolphin was there for a follow-up C-T scan of her lungs.
Veterinarians at the zoo discovered a lesion on Kaylee's right lung in October. In December, they made an arrangement with the medical center less than three miles from the zoo to bring Kaylee in for a C-T scan.
Last night's visit to the hospital -- a 90-minute round-trip -- confirmed that an intensive round of antibiotics has been helping Kaylee recover.
