That is exactly what Trump is doing. No one sees that? He is rejecting every bit of advice regarding the health of Americans and allowing them to become sick and die. He has done nothing to help the hospitals with PPE. There are still widespread shortages and he is playing with fireworks.
This is an article from "Slate." It is worth reading. Trump has completely taken over VOA. I believe he will hone that to his message compliments of his LOYALISTS. Presidents in the USA don't have loyalists. Barr is one as well. He is corrupt and causing a lot of problems.
Besides the VOA, there is the issues with voting, the post office, NLRB and all sorts of "power" agencies within the USA government. I want to cover a lot of this, but, as fate would have it there is a whopper of a thunderstorm beginning.

President Donald Trump welcomed Guaidó as living evidence that his own administration was “standing up for freedom in our hemisphere” and had “reversed the failed policies of the previous administration”; he called Venezuela’s current leader, Nicolás Maduro, an illegitimate ruler whose “grip on tyranny will be smashed and broken.” He gave no details of how that would happen. Demanding mental acuity tests is age discrimination.
The Democrats need to get their slate of candidates established and the national debates for President and Vice President conducted. Then and only then will the country know who is best qualified to be in the Oval Office.
Mental disorders of all kinds will become a national issue if this continues and the American people don’t need it. Cognitive tests were established some time ago to test for mental retardation in children. Even Alzheimer’s Disease is only diagnosed with current imaging studies and not acuity testing.

Flint - $100,000 (click here) from the Ruth Mott Foundation (click here) will go towards the economic relief of black businesses, specifically in north Flint. The deadline to apply is June 7, 2020.
The $100,000 will be distributed through the Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce's Restart Flint & Genesee Grant Program, a special recovery program for small businesses in Genesee County significantly impacted by Gov. Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive orders. The Ruth Mott Foundation funds are for grants of up to $5,000 for Black-owned north Flint businesses that meet eligibility criteria.
Just last month, $262,500 was granted to the program by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. The program was first formed out of a partnership with the Consumers Energy Foundation that allocated $200,000 to help businesses county-wide. The additional $262, 500 from the C.S. Mott Foundation will focus on helping to rehabilitate black small businesses in Flint. Businesses will be awarded up to $5,000....
Flint must bring violence in the city under control. This is a good step in the right direction.

The City of Flint (click here) is asking its residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.
In a post on social media Saturday, city officials said that the Flint Police Department is working in conjunction with other local agencies to investigate reports that a group or groups of individuals from outside of Flint may be attempting to incite violence or create local disturbances.
The alert was a precautionary measure and city officials said there are no known immediate threats to the safety or well-being of the community.
“Our residents are our best defense," said Flint Police Chief Phil Hart. "You are the eyes and ears of this community. We are asking everyone to be aware of their surroundings and to call 911 if they see anything unusual."...

When Donald John Trump talks about "the numbers" he expects by the end of the year that will save his run for a second term, he isn't talking about the falling numbers of COVID-19; he is talking about Wall Street numbers.
The USA has been and is grossly mismanaged during this national health crisis. Putin has been using "for hire" military. 200 Russian soldiers of fortune were killed in Syria due to an attack on USA soldiers. Now, there are "for hire" assassins in Afghanistan. Talk about a deterioration of relationships under Trump.

Excuse me, but, I thought India was an ally in democracy as well? What is going on that Russia is selling munitions to India?
Typical Putin. Russia gives the facade as being friendly to India so long as it purchases its military munitions from them. That will not limit Russia's involvement in the conflict brewing between India and China. That will simply put Russia in as a broker to both sides while limiting the available technology to India is what it is WILLING to sell them.
Once a communist, always a communist and Russia has done little to discourage China's plans to expand its borders.

India has 1.3 billion people with a fair number of them impoverished. So, as part of it's national defense India is trying to make the potential of wealth to other countries. Russia gets Indian money for military munitions while the USA gets six more nuclear power plants to build. WHILE India is being crowded out in the north by China and Pakistan.
This has got to be the worst foreign policy ever too exist and it is probably replicated with other countries. The USA is not involved militarily while Russia is raking in plenty of money to bolster an economy burdened with sanctions. The Defence Ministry (click here) on Thursday approved a proposal to acquire 33 new fighter aircraft including 12 Su-30MKIs and 21 MiG-29s along with upgradation of 59 MiG-29s at a cost of Rs 18,148 crore.
“Addressing the long felt need of the Indian Air Force to increase its fighter squadrons, the DAC also approved the proposal for procurement of 21 MiG-29 along with upgradation of existing 59 MiG-29 aircraft and procurement of 12 Su-30 MKI aircraft,” the defence ministry said in a statement on Thursday after a meeting of the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh .
While the MiG 29 procurement and upgradation from Russia is estimated to cost Rs 7418 cr, the Su-30 MKI will be procured from HAL at an estimated cost of Rs 10,730 cr.
The decision comes in the wake of high tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh where Indian and Chinese troops have been in a standoff position for several weeks now....
India needs to realize Russia can cut off any supply of parts to these jets and end the relationship "at will" now that it is engaged in a border war with China. India needs to rethink it's national security as should many other countries currently bogged down in economic deals with Russia.
We are looking at a very different leader than The West is used to in the former president Hu Jintao. China has made Xi a permanent fixture in the presidency, so it really isn't a presidency so much as a dictator. The same can be said today if Putin rides the popular vote into a forever dictatorship of Russia. Lenin would roll over in his grave. It wasn't enough to get rid of the Czars, Putin is now installed as Russia's permanent president.
Hu Jintao was interested in improving the Chinese quality of life and openly welcomed Wall Street to conduct employment at very low rates of pay. Hu Jintao brought the Olympics to China. He was a far more benevolent leader than Xi. I think it is time to reassess China's plans for the future in expansionism and intolerance of democracy.

Myanmar, China’s closest ally in southeast Asia, (click here) has pointed fingers at Beijing for arming insurgent groups with sophisticated weapons and sought international cooperation to suppress rebel groups. In a recent interview to Russian state-run TV channel Zvezda, Myanmar’s Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said terrorist organisations active in Myanmar are backed by ‘strong forces’ and sought international cooperation to suppress rebel groups.
The reference to ‘strong forces’ was widely seen to be a reference to Myanmar’s neighbour in the north, China.
Myanmar military spokesperson Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun later elaborated on the comment made by the Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar’s armed forces. The spokesperson said the army chief was referring to Arakan Army (AA) and Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), terrorist organisations active in the Rakhine State in western Myanmar that borders China....
Once a communist, always a communist and Russia has done little to discourage China's plans to expand its borders.

In the midst of COVID-19, (click here) the last thing we need is another pandemic. But scientists in China are now warning that they have identified a new flu virus in pigs that could possibly cause a future flu pandemic.
The virus, called G4 EA H1N1, is a genetic mix of the H1N1 "swine flu," which caused a flu pandemic in 2009, and other flu viruses. But importantly, there is no indication that the virus spreads from person to person, according to CNN....

Smithfield Farms sold their operations to China a few years ago. The pig FARMERS that supplied Smithfield Farms are in several states and they know who they are. There MUST BE STRICK STANDARDS IN REGARD TO THE PEOPLE AND SUPPLIES USED ON THESE FARMS.
China businessmen/women could easily carry this new virus into the USA and to the pig farms here. NOW, is the time to prevent infections making it into the USA and DEFINITELY control it to remain in China.

Pigs are intermediate hosts (click here) for the generation of pandemic influenza virus. Thus, systematic surveillance of influenza viruses in pigs is a key measure for prewarning the emergence of the next pandemic influenza. Here, we identified a reassortant EA H1N1 virus possessing pdm/09 and TR-derived internal genes, termed as G4 genotype, which has become predominant in swine populations since 2016. Similar to pdm/09 virus, G4 viruses have all the essential hallmarks of a candidate pandemic virus. Of concern is that swine workers show elevated seroprevalence for G4 virus. Controlling the prevailing G4 EA H1N1 viruses in pigs and close monitoring in human populations, especially the workers in swine industry, should be urgently implemented.
These findings need to be expedited and they may have already been sent to the White House. If there is any evidence to this virus in the USA it will fall on the shoulders of the White House IF NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO PREVENT THE SPREAD.

The H1N1-vaccine and heterologous H1N2-challenge virus model has previously been shown to prolong fever and increase SIV-associated pneumonic lesions. The M2 vaccine in combination with the H1N1-vaccine reduced the H1N2 induced fever but not virus shedding. The M2 vaccine alone reduced respiratory signs and pneumonic lesions to levels similar to the negative control pigs following H1N2 infection. This study found that the M2 protein has potential as a vaccine for SIV-associated disease prevention. However, development of an immune response towards the major envelope HA protein was required to reduce SIV shedding

I have a concern for all these magnificent masks, in that there is no rating system. The new "social masks" need a way of testing them and assessing their effectiveness. The consumer needs to feel confident they are purchasing the mask they need to protect them from each other's potential to carry the virus. I doubt Homeland Security will take up this task, but, I think the better authority to develop a system of testing and a classification ID is the CDC. If there are foreign methods already in use that can be applied to American masks, all the better.
Americans need to take this seriously. The "social mask" provides freedom of movement while being responsible. I think they need to feel confident in their choices.

Taliban commanders (click here) have confirmed that Russia has offered financial and material support to its members in exchange for attacking US forces in Afghanistan.
The practice was first reported by the New York Times last Friday, which cited US intelligence officials.
President Donald Trump has since strongly denied that he was told of this intelligence, and has attacked its credibility, characterizing the existence of Russian bounty payments as fake.
But three separate Taliban sources told Insider that they were aware of Russian bounty payments being made — though they stressed that only the less-disciplined elements on the fringes of the group would take up such an offer....

The USA fails to stem SARS-CoV-2 within the population of the country.
There are now 2 strains that are known. The "G" strain is more contagious and is the strain that entered New York. The changes revolve around a "U" nucleotide. I think the "G" is a popular reference and not scientific.
This is a unique strain to the USA, in that, it came from a Seattle student with flu symptoms. This strain contains five mutations that cannot be traced to any other part of the world. Uracil is the scientific name of ONE OF FOUR nucleotides bases. Yes, the human genome is built on 4 bases linked together to form 20 nucleotides of "3 base chains."
