"I think that they could have had a reason to at least start investigating him," Kristina Sitton, the lawyer who represented Simpson during his terror case, told The Associated Press... 

What I want to know is did the group in question send them an invitation and if not how did the gunmen learn about their inflammatory meeting or convention or whatever it was?

I think the police officer responding was a heck of marksman. He did an impossible job when the demand was called on him. He should receive a commendation from at the very least The State of Texas. 

I also believe the group that caused this conflict completely disregarded the lives of people in the building and those responding. The meeting was completely out of line. 

The France issue is very different. They were professional artists that made a living by publishing a magazine full of commentary. 

The Garland, Texas group had nothing to do with people that earn their living in such a manner and simply want to continue to do so. The content for the meeting was intended to cause exactly what happened. The organizers should receive summons for the danger they placed themselves and responding police officers to incite such an incident. 

Huckabee is certainly comfortable in life, but, he is the moralizer. He continues to be an anchor of the Republican Party.

In 2007, Mr. Huckabee said: “We did a great job of going in and toppling Saddam Hussein. The tough part has been bringing some sense of stability there. And so it’s been a struggle for the president. I think the domestic agenda has also been something that’s almost been ignored and overlooked because we have spent so much of a time on Iraq.”

On Tuesday he said: “As president, I promise you that we will no longer merely try to contain a jihadism, we will conquer it. We will deal with jihadis just as we would deal with deadly snakes. And let there be no doubt, Israel will know, as will the whole world, that we are their trusted friend.”...

No one likes abortion. The many children in this country is testament to that fact. Americans love children and we love our families, so to that reality Former Governor Huckabee is way off base when he covets uterus not belonging to him.

There are more than 320 million people in the USA; of those citizens 74.5 million are children age 17 or younger. That is about 23 percent of the country's people. That is not a country that doesn't want children. It is easy to tell the USA loves family in reflection of the diversity of faiths which is a First Amendment right. 

The moral content of the country is intact with acceptance of the LGBT members and their excellent parenting skills. There is no reason to believe any LGBT in the USA is some sort of profane aspect of our society. Huckabee is a perversion from the past.

We are a democracy and accept the diversity of our lives and celebrate it. I am grateful everyday the USA is a diverse melting pot and not a society that ostracizes one religion over another. The USA is a strong and good country. The Former Governor has never accepted the very foundation of our USA Constitution. He is of the old school that the USA is a Christian country in need of spiritual guidance daily to function and make decisions.

The First Amendment DICTATES all Americans accept any forms of religion and it's benevolence to the stability and moral content of the country. The Former Governor has no right to hack away at any person's personal choices. Personal choices are guaranteed to Americans and it makes our economy vibrant to that reality. 

This is nearly laughable.

The companies that own the leases to USA natural resources don't know what they are doing.  The country puts faith in the people receiving leases that they are doing it right and now this shows exactly how remiss the CEOs are with those leases.

May 4 (Reuters) - In an attempt to increaseproductivity, (click here) shale oil drillers in the United States have begun moving rigs to more productive areas of the Permian and Eagle Ford basins, analysts at Goldman Sachs said.
Data from oil services firm Baker Hughes Inc showed on Friday that the fall in U.S. oil rig count slowed last week, suggesting the collapse in drilling may be coming to an end as prices recover. "The county level rig data is showing potential signs of high grading with rig increases in some of the more productive counties of the Permian and Eagle Ford plays, despite the aggregate rig count still declining," analysts at Goldman Sachs said in a weekly report. The observation comes after the analysts in the past several weeks have said the rig data showed little evidence of high grading....

This is not what I would expect from a well managed company. The CEOs in the oil sector simply put holes in the group and if there is a trickle coming up from who knows how deep or where with horizontal fracking that is called a well. What are the inspections saying on these drilling enterprises. Obviously, the production in the USA in this sector is very poorly managed. So, what are the inspectors finding in the way of viable wells. Anything? Anything means the well is producing? Aren't there records to validate the companies are actually utilizing leases of public lands well?

This sector is in a sorry state if they didn't see the price collapse coming and now they have to decide which wells actually pay their own way. Which wells are causing a deficit balance for it's use and which wells are producing a profit. Amazing. They don't know what they are doing and they don't care about the land, the people or what is expected from a lease with the USA. 

Leases are provided because the people of the USA have needs, NOT THE GLOBAL ECONOMY. Private industry is allowed to seek profits in their service to the people from these leases. These companies never bothered to decide whether they were productive wells. The companies are not reliable in handling USA natural resources and cause too many problems.

The USA doesn't make money from shipping our natural resources abroad. The petroleum industry makes money from shipping the USA's natural resources abroad. This isn't like a manufacturing sector that actually produces good from raw materials and then are sold abroad. The petroleum industry takes our finite natural resources and makes a profit from selling them overseas. That should never occur. I realize there are some loopholes and why the Texas ports are coveted by the industry to boost profits supposedly; but, the regulations state countries that are allies and have a need can apply for a permit to bring USA natural resources to their country. 

The country's natural resources is not a Wall Street toy. It is the natural resources of the United States of American and they belong to the people of this country.  If the USA doesn't have use for them then there are suppose to be leases sold. What is more simple than that? 

If the lessees are found to be negligent in the use of the public lands, there should be a complaint filed against them by inspectors and/or the public. simply putting holes in the ground in hopes of finding some oil or natural gas is not competent practice and the company should not continue the lease.

It is always a surprise when gross mismanagement of our public lands makes it to the surface and the people finally hear of it. Sometimes it is articles such as this or sometimes it is burning rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, but, it the surprises never end. Spills, unemployment and tanking oil prices are all part of the excitement of leasing lands to incompetents. 

There is a name for the phenomena occurring with the petroleum industry in the USA.  It is called "Dutch Disease."

Named after the negative effects of the North Sea oil boom on industrial production in The Netherlands, this phenomenon occurs when resource booms cause real exchange rates to rise and labor and capital to migrate to the booming sector. This results in higher costs and reduced competitiveness for domestically produced goods and services, effectively ‘‘crowding out’’ previously productive sectors.

The companies went to North Dakota and began to drill for oil. Many people followed them. I witnessed it from articles written about the migration of not just labor but oil rigs as well. The companies indiscriminately drilled for oil. There were leaks in the pipelines because there was so much oil there was no way of knowing there was a leak. A farmer discovered it when he went to plow his fields in early spring. 

There was such a glut of oil being pushed into trains, pipelines and trucks the entire infrastructure of the USA and Canada for that matter became stressed in a way it never had before. All of a sudden there were no rail capacity to move grain or any other commodity normally transported by rail. The grain elevators had to move their commodities by barge on the Great Lakes. If that wasn't enough of an insult to the USA's economy, now we witness an industry that never bothered to police itself in regard to production and profit. 

So, the collapse of the oil prices were two fold. The glut pushed the prices down and then the arrogance of the petroleum industry showed up when their operations weren't producing enough to overcome the losses they were sustaining. 

The industry is a menace across this planet and they prove every day what an unwitting people and economy the USA actually is. 

The USA better decide how the currency of the country is being effected by these morons. While the 'assets' add to the buoyancy of the USA dollar, the actual mismanagement of those assets may prove detrimental in time. 

Moral to the FACTS: "Don't devalue the dollar anytime soon."

And. 

The railroads SHOULD NOT spend any significant monies on more rail cars to expand services to the country. The petroleum industry does not have reliable production at all. Not to the extent it demands returning rail tracks back into service or new cars are best for the current demand. Don't go there. Purchase new and better and safer rail cars, but, the petroleum industry's demand is not a sustainable path. 

Railroads need to watch their balance sheets with these companies. Don't over extend any credit to an uncertain industry. 

The application of "Broken Windows" is abusive if the underlying social content is deeply impoverished. There is nothing there to bring about social pressures.

Poverty is not a lifestyle.

I am not so sure "Broken Windows" policing serves the people so much as the police. The basis of Broken Windows is that once a neighborhood's environment is in good repair social pressures take over to minimize crime. That is not what is occurring. People are being killed by an overbearing police presence. Broken Windows may have statistics on it's side, but, the price the neighborhood pays is not reasonable.

To begin, "Broken Windows" is not the law. It is a theoretical practice instilled by police to bring benefit to neighborhoods. This is from George Mason University.

The broken windows model (click here) of policing was first described in 1982 in a seminal article by Wilson and Kelling. Briefly, the model focuses on the importance of disorder (e.g. broken windows) in generating and sustaining more serious crime. Disorder is not directly linked to serious crime; instead, disorder leads to increased fear and withdrawal from residents, which then allows more serious crime to move in because of decreased levels of informal social control. The police can play a key role in disrupting this process. If they focus in on disorder and less serious crime in neighborhoods that have not yet been overtaken by serious crime, they can help reduce fear and resident withdrawal. Promoting higher levels of informal social control will help residents themselves take control of their neighborhood and prevent serious crime from infiltrating.

There are also former police officers coming on media stating there have been eight people killed and 12 shootings since the arrests were made of police in Baltimore. 

Informal social control (click here) refers to the reactions of individuals and groups that bring about conformity to norms and laws.

"Broken Windows" model is suppose to bring about greater freedom to the neighborhood to bring about social norms. That isn't what is happening. A human being is not a broken window.

Freddie Gray was innocent. He was part of the social norms of the neighborhood. The social norms of the neighborhood was a Drug Economy because there was no other alternative for money to live. In the USA there is very little alternative to the 'Abject Poor.' That is why the neighborhood is so challenged. The fact there was a CVS is testimony to the priorities and efforts by the neighborhood in Baltimore. But, it wasn't the neighborhood that spontaneously burned down the CVS building, it was because they reached their breaking point when still yet another man died in 'the van/wagon.' 

The application of "Broken Windows" to a neighborhood with 50 percent unemployment is completely wrong. It is not good policing. These folks need more than police. 

I think President Obama has it right. Cities are using their police to contain a larger problem. If there was a community plagued with severe violence and citizens could not walk to the CVS without fear of assault or a danger of some kind, "Broken Windows" might apply. 

How many times was the CVS robbed? I found one armed robbery of a CVS in Baltimore.

...On Jan. 18, at about 9 p.m., (click here) police said two women assaulted a third woman in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy in the 5600 block of Baltimore National Pike and tried to take her car keys....

I am not sure about the geography of the city. This may or may not be the CVS that was burnt down. It appears from this article the police didn't ask for help from the community in identifying the armed robbers for over two months. That's ridiculous. Community leaders should be tasked as soon as possible to bring about results.

The problems the people of this neighborhood have are due to society's willingness to allow abject poverty. The larger society is not answering the problems these folks face day to day that are due to poverty and not crime. Crime exists in the absence of opportunity. That is a fact. The police aren't to blame for the poverty. They are doing a job asked of them, but, the police are also not advocating for the people to relieve the presence of crime and guns by addressing the economic needs of the people they seek to protect.

Baltimore, Maryland and the USA needs to do better. The country's police, especially police leadership, have to bring attention to the poverty and the crime that results. The police are in neighborhoods everyday. They have knowledge of the poverty first hand and the danger that presents for doing their jobs. Police leadership is not doing the right job if they simply dispatch police. Police leadership has to take on the responsibility of advocating the problems the people face leading to crime. If police leadership simply work to contain a problem without identifying it so the city, state and country 'have no problem,' that is not being an officer so much as a jailer.

People cannot ignore the stark reality of black men in their encounters with police. People are dying at the hand of the officer. They are unarmed and sometimes they are only 12 years old. We can demonize 'the gun' forever without results. But, to address the underlying problems of the neighborhoods will be effective. 

Police leadership should be answerable to their officers that encounter the poverty all the time. The police should be answerable to the people of communities in a relationship that works to end crime and brings about a quality of life every citizen of this country is guaranteed by their birth. Communication all along the line of authority is paramount. We witnessed what communication did in Baltimore yesterday to calm a neighborhood with anxiety over more deaths of innocent people. The power structure is all wrong and works to oppress the problems of the people and not solve them.

Daesh can claim anything is theirs simply because Muslim populations are international. It doesn't matter. The violence and it's provocation is a domestic issue. There weren't Daesh troops landing in Garland, Texas. The media just goes right along with it as if it is fact and actually news.

Today in Baltimore another young black man entered into a hopeless state in life. He was arrested.

Big Brother. That's what is going on in Baltimore. A video camera that picked up a gun. There was no crime committed.

What is the rational in Baltimore to confiscate guns? I know if this was Arizona and cows there would be no end to the anger over removing guns.

Maryland is being sued by other states over it's strict gun laws. They don't look strict to me. They look reasonable.  What business is Maryland Gun Laws to West Virginia? Political? Got a point to prove regarding how weak state's rights are? It makes no sense for any state to sue another over gun regulations.

Led by West Virginia's attorney general, (click here) 21 states have joined a legal effort seeking to overturn Maryland's tough new gun control law.
The Maryland statute has no effect on gun laws in their states, but the attorneys general argue in an amicus brief filed this month that Maryland's law was written too broadly and violates the Second Amendment rights of their citizens.
"States must band together in times when they see citizens' rights being diminished or infringed upon," West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said in statement released when he filed the brief. "If the courts decide this law passes muster, it would undermine a core part of the Second Amendment."
Morrisey, who declined to be interviewed, said Maryland's ban on the sale of military-style weapons is akin to "trying to impose a content-based ban on speech. It simply cannot be done."
A federal court ruled that Maryland's ban on 45 types of semiautomatic rifles is constitutional. The coalition of gun owners and gun-rights groups that challenged the law is appealing the decision by the U.S. District Court of Maryland. The attorneys general have joined that effort....
...Maryland's gun law, proposed by Gov. Martin O'Malley and passed by the General Assembly in 2013, was among the most stringent enacted after the massacre of 20 children and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. It is one of three, all passed after Newtown, that gun-rights activists are fighting in federal courts.
Judge Catherine C. Blake upheld Maryland's ban in August, rejecting the argument that military-style weapons are in common use for self-defense and therefore protected by the Second Amendment. Blake wrote that she considered the ban a legitimate way to improve public safety....

Community leaders need to hold Town Halls with the people of their neighborhoods. There is a compliant NPR (click here) wrote about and the lack of communication with young people and their leaders.

But, people in Baltimore cannot simply go back to living life as it was before, Baltimore is different today. People have to own guns legally in Baltimore. I don't really appreciate the idea street cameras are causing arrests in the neighborhood that normally wouldn't happen. I think this is a reality we all were concerned about and now we are there. Big Brother is patrolling the streets in Baltimore around the clock every day of the year.

I haven't found special gun laws in Baltimore anywhere on the net, but, there needs to be equity in the way summons and arrests are handed down.

I think the police have a right to be concerned for their safety, but, there is a limit to what people have to put up with, they aren't rats in a cage.

I also witnessed a very good newspaper and media presence in Baltimore. I believe they have high moral content and understand the community.

That said, if men are arrested on a regular basis because of cameras that record their every move they become hopeless. Once a record for illegal possession of a gun is attached to one's name, the ability of a man to qualify for a job is out the window. This is part of the problem in Baltimore. Okay? There is a high degree of hopelessness with 50% unemployment. The unemployment is partly due to criminal records these men have accumulated for whatever reason that occurred. 

I don't expect the police to put their lives on the line for freedom in a troubled neighborhood, but, police have to also realize the one reason men in these neighborhoods can be dangerous to themselves and police is because they are not presented with opportunity in the world. I have never, ever heard of a city with 50% unemployment. The city has to take responsibility for that level of unemployment and disseminate the causes while invoking realistic rehab programs.

I can't tell you how this is very troubling to me. Baltimore's unemployment rate is a national emergency. There needs to be projects TODAY to assist the men back into function.

There was a time in my life, after my husband became involved with substance abuse and alternate lifestyles (he was a white man) I was alone and unable to provide an income for myself and my two very young sons. It is devastating to look at yourself in the mirror and feel valueless in society except the ability to be a parent. I didn't have a criminal record. I lived a clean life.

But, my circumstances is not the point. What WORKED for me was to attend the local Vocational School for Adults and learn skills that would provide a job upon graduation. It took 11 and a half months to graduate. During that time, my sons received childcare after school and I received a daily stipend of $10.00 for every day I was in classes and achieving my new lifestyle. My tuition was paid and I was provided a clothing allowance to obtain an appearance suitable for my CHOSEN profession.

THAT IS WHAT THESE NEIGHBORHOODS NEED in Baltimore. The men need to learn skills and capture a craft like carpentry or masonry and then rebuild their neighborhoods. They need this. This is not an option. 

Currently, in order to provide a safer street the Baltimore police intervene on camera footage. The men are defining their masculinity with guns. Their idea for their lives is not a long term goal. They are deprived of a life of value that will see them into their old age.

The confrontation between the men and the police will continue and the high tensions that brought about depersonalization of these people to regard them as nothing more than animals is so unhealthy for the city and it's goverrnment there is no word to describe it. 

An immediate intervention in the case of men with guns is for the city to institute a "Gun Buy Back" initiative. It is the best way I know to bring about safer streets and reduce criminal content from a citizen's life. 

This is not a productive city. The moral content is very poor and hopelessness defines it's very borders.

Former President Bill Clinton is beyond reproach.

Some time ago, what's his name? He is on FOX at 8PM. Well, no matter. His political agenda included someone who was suppose to be an expert on body language. So, that smile on President Clinton's face can be interpreted in a number of ways depending the political leanings of the translator. 

Wow. Chelsea looks a lot like her dad. I didn't realize how much she resembles him.  

But, I think it would be a mistake for the former president to resign from HIS foundation. When Hillary is in the White House he might want to take a leave of absence for awhile until the American people are confident his work is very important and he would do nothing wrong to achieve better lives for the people the foundation seeks to serve. 

The Foundation is primarily a service organization. But, eventually, he will want to return to his work, no different than Former President Carter carries out even in his advancing years. Former President Carter and his wife Former First Lady Rosalynn are instrumental in their organization. I don't see that changing for President Clinton simply because he has an ambitious wife that wants to serve the country. I think the fuss is inappropriate and possible because the Clintons don't promote the organization publicly, because ads at the Superbowl costs a lot of money. 

I don't really see Bill Clinton as a garden guy. He might be great at getting to know military families though. I think I'd like that. He would make a very interesting advocate for military families and veterans. He would probably like that. 

You know what he needs to tackle when he is "First Gentleman," the student debt issue. Those two areas are grossly neglected by Congress. They have been very slow and even selective about helping our veterans. He would be great as an advocate for military families, veterans and our students requiring loans to complete their education.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton (click here) is publicly musing about his life in a future Clinton administration, saying he would consider stepping down from the foundation that he founded more than a decade ago, if his wife wins the White House.
But he doesn't plan to stop giving the high-priced speeches to private corporations, foreign governments, and non-profit organizations that have been a mainstay of his post-presidential life. "I gotta pay our bills," he said, in an interview aired Monday on NBC's "Today" show. "And I also give a lot of it to the foundation every year."...

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge honoured (click here) both royal tradition and the most loved women in their lives by naming their baby daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

As well as the anticipated tributes to Diana, Princess of Wales and the Queen, the choice of name includes a wealth of connections to the Middleton family, striking a perfect balance between the two sides of Princess Charlotte’s family.

By choosing Diana as a middle name, the Duke ensured his mother’s memory will live on in the next generation of the Royal family, making his daughter a living tribute to the mother he lost when he was just 15.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said that the names “spoke for themselves”. The fourth in line to the throne will be officially known as HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge....

If it's valid, then because Joseph Stalin himself ordered all abortions outlawed in the Soviet Union in 1936 (except in cases where the life of the mother was in jeopardy), it must follow that to oppose abortion in America today makes you a Stalinist.
To be clear, I don't actually think that's true at all. Opposition to abortion doesn't make you a Stalinist, just because Stalin himself outlawed it. But it's a fair reminder of what passes for historical analysis on the right these days.

Where this gets interesting is realizing how dry and hot Earth has actually become. 

Recently I noticed the water vapor of Earth is primarily accumulating over the oceans. The continents are very dry and absent of water vapor. This is a view from some very talented people that built this computer program. But, it shows the North Pole. The continents are mostly absent of water vapor.

So, the question is how can New York State be under a fire danger watch with all the turbulent storms they have been receiving? Drought is a long term emergency and doesn't end because a severe storm rolled through the area. 

The drought in New York State is early onset. It is only beginning. It is considered abnormally dry and summer hasn't arrived yet.

Greenland has clouds simply because it has a large ice sheet. The ice is melting and providing water vapor.

Interestingly, the Inter tropical Convergence Zone is repopulated with water vapor. There is a very clear division in northern water vapor and the tropical region. Interesting. There is somewhat of a Bermuda High in the Atlantic.

Several incidents have occurred (click here) in the past few months with Glocks being left out in the open by absent-minded security. In January, a Glock and its magazine were found jammed in a toilet seat cover holder at the Capitol Visitor Center. In March, a young boy found one in John Boehner’s Capitol suite bathroom. Most recently on April 15, a third Glock was found by a custodian at the Capitol Police HQ. This time, the gun wasn’t found in a restroom stall but left out in the open and was easily spotted. Glocks were designed without the traditional external safety locks and can instantly fire if the trigger is pulled.

According to Roll Call, the officer from the January 29 incident was recommended to receive a six-day unpaid suspension while the other two remain under investigation. House Rules Chairman Pete Sessions said he wanted Capitol Police to “retrain everyone that carries a gun.” The new training system should include a little jingle the security officers can learn to sing to themselves before leaving the bathroom. Something like, “Keys, Wallet, Phone, Glock.” Maybe that will help them to stop losing their guns.

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) (click here) accused President Barack Obama and Democrats Thursday evening of continually releasing undocumented immigrants who are murdering Americans.
"Every day, all along border states, maybe other places, there are murders by people who have been arrested coming into this country, who have been released by the Obama administration, I believe in violation of the law, who are murdering Americans all over our cities," the Rules Committee chairman said at a meeting while discussing Obama's deportation relief policies. "We hold the Democrat Party and the president personally accountable for this action."
The comment came during a discussion of a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, which many Republicans believe needs to include measures to block Obama's executive actions on immigration. Congress must pass funding for DHS by the end of Friday to avoid a shutdown, and House Republicans are planning to vote on a three-week bill.... 

Rep. Sessions is his own journalist because the people of his district don't appreciate "The Lame Stream Media."

Two gunmen were killed (click here) after they opened fire Sunday evening outside an event hosted by an anti-Islam group in Garland, Tex., featuring cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, local officials said. According to the authorities, the two assailants shot a security guard and were, in turn, shot and killed by police officers.

Officials did not name the gunmen or assign a motive for the attack. A spokeswoman for the F.B.I. in Dallas said the agency was providing investigative and bomb technician assistance to the Garland police.

The City of Garland confirmed the episode in a Facebook posting....

I agree with the police officer, this one is a real head scratchier. No SWAT Team? I suppose that would be a waste of money in Garland. 

Let me guess, Ted Cruz is their favorite Senator.

The Demographics pretty much explains it. Americans with too much money and time on their hands.

It would be better if Garland, Texas would simply legalize "Cock Fights." Children would not end up on Social Security after a cartoon even.

I'd think more of the event if it were a religious cartoon gathering. This was organized specifically to bring angry people together. They were asking for trouble. Now, I suppose they want to declare war on somebody, right? "President Obama will say no and they'll call him a Muslim." And these people make national news. What next? 

In the meantime, the people of New York State fear for their lives in a different way with a "Dangerous Weather Watch."

It’s official: (click here) NASA’s Messenger spacecraft has ended its mission to Mercury with a bang.
The spacecraft ended its four years in orbit by smashing into the tiny planet’s surface sometime around 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, scientists confirmed Friday. That time and the crash’s location are a best guess, because Messenger crashed on the far side of Mercury, with no way to phone home.

“On behalf of MESSENGER, thank you all for your support,” officials tweeted from the mission’s Twitter account. “We will continue to update you on our great discoveries. We will miss it.”

Even though the spacecraft met its end alone, scientists in the mission control room at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Maryland said they mourned the passing of the spacecraft, whose observations have significantly altered our understanding of the sun-scorched little planet....

Most of the RNC platform is depraved. They have no respect for the individual, they value money over life and want to appear to be moral in the face of American hardship.

Small government means less services, not better government.

The Republicans make no investment in the people of this country, but, for military spending and bank bailouts there is no end.

They refuse to pass laws regarding banking reform, but, want to control the definition of marriage.

The Epistle of Titus is from Paul regarding the 'character' of the 'ethical church.' Paul was the founder of the first Christian church. His writings in Titus are considered a cornerstone to the leaders.

Titus 1:7 – "For an overseer (Elder of the church), as God's steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain."

 

So, when a Republican pretends to be a man of morals and principles or a man in honor of his Christian faith; challenge him on it. The words he speaks are lies.

Negligence of US Infrastructure by the federal government is depraved. Preention of tragedy means nothing to the Repubicans anymore.

...In Boulder, (click here) we hear a continuing call to increase our resiliency to climate change. However, the question that needs to be answered is, "What are the specific risks that we face on the Front Range and in Boulder County?" The answer is that we face multiple risks beyond those resulting from catastrophic events such as flash floods and wildfires. In fact, many of the risks we face result from incremental changes in climate. The recently released Colorado Climate Change Vulnerability Study, coauthored by researchers at the University of Colorado-Boulder and Colorado State University, documents that the climate in Colorado is projected to warm by 2.5 to 6.5 degrees Fahrenheit by mid-century. In the Boulder region, all climate models project warming temperatures during the summer months as well as an increasing number of heat waves.

Although much of our infrastructure will be affected by these changes, two sectors are of particular concern and as such need to be a priority for resiliency actions — roads and public buildings. In terms of roads, temperature increases will result in the weakening of asphalt road surfaces. This weakening allows for increased cracking and potholes when traffic patterns remain the same or increase. In cases of flooding, these increased cracks result in a greater likelihood of flood-based damage. Similarly, these cracks result in increased freeze damage in winter months. This increased damage results in significant increases in maintenance costs to maintain currently accepted levels of service....

The story quickly spread over the Internet and made it to Rush Limbaugh’s talk-radio show April 15. Limbaugh detailed how had he talked over the scoop with "Easton Elliott" and Hinderaker a couple weeks before.
"I did raise the specter that it did appear to me that Dingy Harry got beat up," Limbaugh said before launching into the story. "I don’t know by who, although I might now. Bottom line is, I might now know who did it. And I wasn’t even gonna bring this up."

The real truth came about 10 days later, when Pfeifer (pictured below) told the Las Vegas Sun he was Easton and the story was fake....
