The Congress is beginning to come alive.

We are a country that revels in human accomplishment. Not war. Recently a baby’s life was saved because of the astounding discovery of CRISPR. The baby would have died without scientific investigation of gene editing. That ability of doctors to reach across death and end it was due to decades of investigation. 

Our shared national identity is about accomplishments that save life, not destroy it. We embrace leaders that make us better people with compassion. “The Other” was never about hate and fear, it was always about understanding other Americans different than ourselves. 

Inhumanity in the USA is stunning.

First ICE destroys the only reality Wael Tarabishi understood, he dies, and his caregiver father is denied time at his final resting place. What has happened to the United States of America? This one hurts all the more for the simple joyful life this father and son shared only to be destroyed for what reason? They harmed no one. 

This level of inhumanity is the same as witnessed during the pandemic of 2020-21. People died for no reason. They were exposed to a virus in complete denial of its deadly potential. People were encouraged to disbelieve the danger of COVID-19 in the face of the largest death toll on Earth.

These people don’t know God. They believe they are God.

Asylum was required in this case for the intricacies of the relationship. There was absolutely no grounds for the detention of Maher Tarabishi. He automatically was excused from arrest for being a sole caregiver of another human life. ICE had to go out of the way to bring this depth of cruelty to reality.

The inhumanity is the same as before. They do not value human life. 

Each day is worse than the day before. 

It is unconscionable to believe the American people are going to give up their morality in the face of such blatant disregard for human life.

Don Lemon is African American.

Letitia James is African American. There is no legal basis for the operations of Bondi’s DOJ. This administration loves playing with themselves.

Don Lemon is a high profile case. Trump is trying to intimidate a nation of people that know better. In Trump’s Court he is “the only one who can.” Trump is convinced he can get away with anything if it is played right. Let me provide an example.

My purpose is not to predict how the Supreme Court will rule, but, to illustrate the strategy/tactics against the USA Constitution. I remind Trump is not interested in abiding by the Constitution unless it permits his worst instincts. But, where the Constitution does not allow Trump to succeed he simple tells Bondi to proceed and break the law.

Basically, the lawyer paid to play with the verbiage of the USA Constitution reached back into the history of the country and the history of the court to bring about more and more control of the aspects of freedom. 

“You don’t have to go that far.”

“I know I don’t have to go that far.”

I found this exchange rather arrogant on the side of the lawyer. He is attempting to bring outdated law/decisions to bear to create an argument. I think this is learned behavior not of an education or practice but the tactics of Project 2025. 

All to frequently bad lawyering comes out of Bondi’s DOJ. There is the problem with Bondi’s DOJ of allowing completely unqualified people to sit in seats of power without care or concern to the circus she is creating. 

Lindsey Halligan (whom until now) has not warranted attention, but, she is hapless. Feckless is a great word. Bondi never listened to the judge in regard to Halligan’s placement AND continued loyalty to keeping her as a lawyer in the DOJ. The judge had to follow up after ruling in Comey’s favor in order to have Bondi comply with the gross injustice of her department.

The problem here was spelled out by another judge (I don’t keep track of their names as there are so many, perhaps I should, but, who knew) that the Trump Cabinet are puppets on strings in their roles in the Executive Branch. The judge clearly described a hugely dysfunctional presidential cabinet controlled by Donald John Trump as if he knows all and directs all. Bondi in realizing her real role as Attorney General is engaged in gross malpractice. And she doesn’t stop when the judiciary points to her follies. She just looks for verbiage to continue the same folly.

The Congress doesn’t act on this Executive Branch and who knows why. There is issue after issue of over reach, abuse of power, and quite frankly anarchy. People are dying of extrajudicial decisions, the military is stealing Venezuelan petroleum. The military is so far out of bounds it is astounding to realize there is no action to contain Trump’s ideology in regard to the War Powers Act. Trump has assaulted the country’s alliances with impunity. 

WHAT THE HELL?

Americans are supposed to like and admire raw power as greatness? Bullshit, we created that power over centuries and it is being abused and causing immeasurable harm. 

The problem Don Lemon is having is just more of the same feckless administration with no oversight because the election of 2024 was bought by Musk.

Every human being adversely effected by the Trump Administration at any level should be filing lawsuit after lawsuit of the individual members that COOPERATE with a dictatorial administration and practices lawless agendas AS CRIMINALS in a path of greed that serves the worst instincts of the powerful and results in illness, death, and irreparable harm to livelihoods and professions.

I believe the FBI taking if voter roles in Gulton County is illegal.

Voter roles are sacred and custody of the state. There has been many counts and recounts of the Fulton County, Georgia ejection. The entire voter roles of Fulton County is not criminal or evidence. 

There is no there, there. It is a fact. This is a witch hunt in Fulton County and the federal government would have to provide new evidence of fraud. There simply isn’t any.

This video shows Alex Pretti protesting ICE OCCUPATION of Minneapolis. He kicks the SUV and breaks a tail light. I see no gun being drawn despite his Concealed Carry Permit. The ICE agents are to blame for treating human beings as objects of racism, I don’t blame him for being upset. I hardly call his actions as out of control.

To be clear.

If a state wants to act to enforce immigration laws the state or local authority can be delegated to do so. The word is delegated. Jailed aliens in state jails and prisons

There is no reason to release the convicted migrants. If deported they will be released of the convictions and can always return illegally. The American public is safer with convicted criminals in jail or prison.

Ashley Babbit is not really addressed well. Trump has propagandized her death as innocent. Babbit was illegally in the Capitol building seeking to hurt and/or kill legislators engaged in the peaceful transfer of power.

Federal authorities have refused repeatedly to work with local authorities when conducting violent home invasions as well as the violent confrontation of peaceful protesters. Violent military weapons are NOT necessary in American communities.

If Trump wants to cooperate with local authorities he will hand over the murderer of Renee Good (shot lethally four times while attempting to leave the area being occupied by stated ICE agents) and the murderer of Alex Pretti (shot lethally nine to ten times by stated ICE agents while attempting to neutralized peaceful protesters). 

I don’t care if it is Tom Homan or not. People at one time honored by the people of this country have changed radically under the administration of Donald John Trump. They are eager to violate the Rule of Law to an illegal end.

The federal Department of Justice and the federal Department of Homeland Security as well as Trump’s administration in general is operating outside the Rule of Law.

Criminal proceedings against the killers of Renee Good and Alex Pretti need to begin. Bring the charges and issue arrest warrants begin with Kristi Noem and Gregory Bovino who authorized the attacks on citizens as well as legal immigrants.

Kristi Noem clearly stated in a video to the general public she authored the use of force against Americans demonstrating as they were getting in the way of ICE’s apprehensions in the city of Minneapolis.

Use of force against peaceful protesters is a huge overreach of authority that has turned loose more than 3000 agents in the city of Minneapolis to carry out raids and arrests based in unlawful policing standards including racial profiling. 

Current estimates of the population of Minneapolis is 429,954 people. That is one ICE agent for every 143 people. The Noem agents are disrupting the lives of innocent Americans simply living their best lives. 

Alex Pretti was killed by what is believed to be a gang of federal agents operating outside the law.

Everyone in this country knows Alex Pretti and Renee Good were unlawfully killed. It is time to bring those responsible to justice. We no longer have a reliable or qualified federal authority. 

Charge the murderers!

Subpoena evidence including DHS personnel recorded of where they are deployed. It is not a matter of national security for prosecutors in Minneapolis to demand ANY confidential records to facilitate justice for these two great  Americans.

Alex Pretti was murdered.

There is no doubt. The prosecutor for Minneapolis must start criminal proceedings. No one should wait for the federal DOJ.

A segment on MS NOW “Velshi” (click here) clearly breaks down the video that clearly shows Alex Pretti’s actions. He and a few others were in the bitter cold when he attempted to assist a woman who had been knocked to T HR e ground by a person believed to be an Immigration Enforcement agent.

The is very, very clear. Alex Pretti was contained by people believed to be ICE agents, had his personal gun removed from its holster, a person yells “Gun,” and Alex Pretti, already on the ground and facing down was then fired upon by a minimum of 9 to 10 bullets. He was no threat to anyone. The agents ahead already subdued him. He was murdered. An innocent American citizen seeking to help another victim of people attacking protesters was shot and brutally killed. 

Alex Pretti should be alive today and with his peers seen in the photo below, except for federal agents roaming the streets of Minneapolis decided they were above the law and killed him.

Why is there no cooperation between DHS and other law enforcement?

Maybe the better question is why does DHS insist on their own contrived narrative?

There are two different Americas existing at the same time.

I firmly believe Trump and his cabinet are in over their heads and they know it, but, there is an agenda, isn’t there? 

The law enforcement independent of ICE don’t really have an agenda so much as a job. 

Where do we go from here if we want to eliminate the threat of a runaway administration hell bent on their agenda? A civilian death toll is not the answer. We are not going to enter a civil war. 

Some time soon there will have to be a solution proposed to Trump and his minions. They are in a bit of a pickle. They have violated significant laws. So did Nixon.

Think about it.

When the Vietnam War ended the USA swung its doors open to Draft Dodgers. 

Just think about the way forward without engaging Trump’s agenda of fear and violence.

The culture of fear is intended. 

The fear among immigrants in the USA LEGALLY are so terrified by their sudden reality the not only stay home they carry police scanners.

Another family in pain over a wrongful death.

I want to point out how quickly Noem came out after the shooting to lie to the public. No investigation. Just lies to blame the innocent citizen.

There will be no one held accountable for the slaughter of an innocent citizen of this country. There were many bullets to take the last breath from Alex Pretti. 

I also take issue with the Minnesota state law inhibiting the right to assemble. I believe the law is unconstitutional.

The Minnesota law that seeks to inhibit the First Amendment Right to Assemble assumes a criminal threshold that simply doesn’t exist. The law was well intentioned, but, incorrect.

The Minnesota law that wants to stop organized crime (I believe that may have been part of the process of writing the law) assumes the assembly of human beings will actually commit a crime or crimes. That is an inaccurate and fatal aspect of the law. 

To begin it is a state law and one can argue State’s Rights. But, in arguing State’s Rights Minnesota would have to prove what specifically is unique about Minnesota that would allow such impingement of the First Amendment.

That said, I will provide an example to illustrate my argument.

After September 11, 2001 the Former FBI Director Robert Mueller had a near impossible task to protect Americans from terrorist attacks. There were no real laws on the books that would give permission to preempt attacks within the borders of this sovereign country. It would involve invasion of privacy and atypical information and evidence gathering. He settled on a particular method that proved constitutional in the courts. He did indeed impede terrorists within the USA that planned attacks on citizens.

In the methodology an FBI agent would join a group of men (no discrimination, there just weren’t women involved) seeking to kill Americans within the communities of the USA. That agent would help plan and execute the violent act right up to the point where it was going to occur. Then the agent would be with the terrorists when the FBI arrived to interrupt that violent act. One of the interrupted acts of violence involved a missile. The FBI delivered on the agent’s promise to the terrorists to procure a missile that would be used as a bomb. The interventions by the FBI were quite elaborate, but, it wasn’t entrapment. The prosecutions held up.

The reason the prosecution held up was because the would be terrorists could obtain help from others if not the FBI. After all, Osama bin Laden was successful in the attacks of September 11th within the sovereign borders of the USA. The 19 terrorists were successful within sovereign borders because the FBI, while suspicious, was hampered by then current law. They were inching up on them to the point where Zacarias Moussaoui was sidelined from participating with the other 19 in fear the FBI were on their trail. 

So what is the point in this case?

Mueller was brilliant in ending those attacks because his methods went beyond conversation to the point where solid proof was at the threshold of success. The terrorists actually had the concrete plans that would be successful. There was NO DOUBT left to the violent actions to be carried out. Where the terrorists didn’t have the materials, the materials were provided to a certain goal. If, with the materials the plan went forward the evidence was obvious.

Mueller’s agents literally became terrorists to end the possibility of any other entity from stepping in to supply materials and have certain success. It is my opinion the Minnesota law does not do that. 

It is one thing to gather with the right of the First Amendment to talk and plan. It is quite different to actually move forward in those plans to carry out violence. As the saying goes, “Talk is cheap.” Who is to say a rocket club cannot gather because the hobby can be misdirected? Who is to say, a group of people who want to demonstrate to end the violent occupation of Gregory Bovino’s ICE agents are actually breaking the law?  They are not. 

These are peaceful demonstrators in a community quite disgusted with the presence of ICE agents acting like military occupiers. These ICE agents hide their identity and carry military weaponry to the peaceful streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota. These ICE agents are scaring children and gather where children cross streets to go to and from school. These ICE agents are disruptive in their demeanor and methodology. Basically, these ICE agents are directly assaulting the peaceful lives of Americans. 

Alex Pretti, no different than Renee Good, was unlawfully killed by ICE agents armed to the teeth with weapons of a battlefield. The Minnesota laws impinging upon the Right to Assemble might be on the books by well meaning legislators, but, unfortunately are unconstitutional.

Families are now in disarray and faced with an empty chair at a family gathering.

Innocent peaceful protester and nothing more.

Never a threat.

Trump is exploitating the statement in the media that Alex J. Pretti was a gun owner. Owning a gun does not make a citizen guilty of using a gun for illegal purposes. Pretti was unarmed at the demonstration. 

Trump manipulates the facts all the time to change the reality to exonerate his administration wrong doing.

The Minneapolis police stated after the killing of a resident there was unlawful assembly.

Basically, the Minnesota state statute regarding the First Amendment right to assemble ends if criminal intent exists. I don’t know what criminal activity was invoked and by whom in an unlawful assembly at the scene.

The shooting by federal agents of a Minneapolis resident involved six shots. Basically, the federal agent emptied his gun into a man already compromised by the first bullet.

Railroading

To begin, I think Daniel Reed did a really good job in regard to the technique employed by the Congressman. I also believe an important answer or best said attempted answer by Smith was missed. So, I would like to expand ever so slightly on the commentary.

At one point, a person (male voice) in the gallery states, “Let him answer.” The attempted railroading by the politician was so obvious a person in attendance was upset by the lack of allowances to achieve a full answer from Jack Smith.

Normally these Congressional hearings are designed to gather facts, to contribute to debate on the House or Senate floor, and to bring facts and strengthen laws passed by the legislative branches. But, considering politicians are at times unwilling to achieve that goal this episode in Jack Smith’s life occurred. 

That is a minor point to this entry.

I think naming the technique of railroading is as important to the analysis itself. The name provides a tool for Americans to organize their thoughts. Naming the tool empowers organized thought of complicated topics and streamlines understanding. It prejudices such immoral techniques that lie within the First Amendment.

But.

As to the missed complete answer. 

At one point Jack Smith is stating the use of good prosecution techniques of which he received permission to use. Smith used prosecutorial integrity of the case in the chance important information was obtained. In Smith’s attempted statement that begins at time mark 2:03 he is trying to bring understanding to the politician making the speech.

I believe Smith is trying to bring reality to the fact toll records (meta data) have two sides. There is the McCarthy telephone record, but, there is also the other side of the phone record. There is the caller. An investigation can achieve great strides by ascertaining the identity of the callers. Once the callers can be identified the investigation then pivots away from the trusted member of Congress to an investigation of callers that may be seeking favors of Congress which are illegal. The phone records of McCarthy would hold the identity of people seeking power of the Speaker that would lead to a breech of the Rule of Law.

The non-disclosure attached to the subpoena is important to prevent erasure of vital records to advance an investigation. At the time McCarthy had just come into the power of Speaker. Smith was protecting the Speakership, hence, the Speaker from corrupting influence. That corrupting influence was known to be attempting to assault the USA Constitution.

When a very competent investigator is protecting the USA Constitution the personal identity of the Speaker disappears and is replaced by the uncorrupted stability of the USA Constitution. Smith wasn’t seeking to damage McCarthy, he was protecting the founding document of this country. Smith took an oath. He took an oath to the USA Constitution not a personality. Jack Smith was doing his job in loyalty to every law abiding citizen in this country and is above scrutiny.

It is noteworthy the politician is corrupting the Rule of Law by injecting railroading into the Congressional Record. There should be an ethics complaint filed by another Congressperson of the politician invoking railroading. Keeping them honest is important.

I think the review by NATO of the importance of Greenland and a realignment of the focus in regard to this NATO member is perfect. It definitely will enhance the strength of the alliance.

I can’t settle on a title to respect Jack Smith.

John (Jack) Luman Smith is one of the preeminent investigators to ever serve this country. His service has impacted the global peace the USA has been a part of for decades. There is a paragraph from Wikipedia that begins to define his dedication to the justice human beings deserve.

The Eminent John (Jack) Luman Smith ranks along side Former Director Robert Swan Mueller III. That is the case without a doubt in my mind. These men, including James Comey, Christopher Wray, and Patrick J. Fitzgerald, along with so many others have placed the USA Constitution at the very center of their lives. There is no doubting them. There is no ridiculing them. There is absolutely no reason to ever question them, except, to clarify and bring forward the truth.

This country has been graced with people that have put their lives on the line including these men. This country needs to be grateful for them and all those who have stood for justice and truth including those that walked away from the racketeering administration of Donald John Trump.

Prepare for your comfort, too.

The discussion below is interesting. Being ready with these storms is very important because the cold is a very severe and dangerous cold. But, what if the grid doesn’t fail and the warmth fills the room(s)? What then?

I think having a level of comfort is important in case the answer is a beer run. During a storm like this having something enjoyable to do is important. So, once the shopping is done and the kitchen is stocked, preparedness also means having fun, relaxation, and comfort prepared, too. That is determined by the individual that will remain indoors until it is safe to be outdoors again. It is a pure neglect to wallow in misery indoors longing to go outdoors. Have fun with a hobby, handyman activity, or that special recipe the chef never had enough time to try and perfect.

So, while survival preparedness is important, mental health preparedness is important, too.

This case began in 2020.

There is a lot here that seems to have fallen through the cracks. The questions are many beginning with why and who was responsible for allowing such fraud?

I have a feeling thus occurred for five years because the immigration courts have been so overwhelmed for a long time.
