Companies like "Growth Energy" can supply more E10 to the nation if there were more production of ethanol sugars.

The nation is not competing for 'quality of life' with E10 on a national scale.  We are removing High Fructose Corn Syrup from out nation's food supply and using it to make our fisheries safer, our ocean waters safe to prevent cancers and birth defects.
High Fructose Corn Syrup does nothing but cause obesity in the USA.  We don't need it.  If High Fructose Corn Syrup was removed from our food supply America would be healthier and our fisheries would be far safer than they are today.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is taking additional action on Growth Energy’s waiver request application submitted under section 211(f)(4) of the Clean Air Act. Today’s partial waiver allows fuel and fuel additive manufacturers to introduce, into commerce, gasoline that contains greater than 10 volume percent (vol%) ethanol (E10) and no more than 15 volume percent ethanol (E15) for use in model year (MY) 2001 through 2006 light-duty motor vehicles, which includes passenger cars, light-duty trucks and sport utility vehicles (SUV), provided certain conditions are fulfilled. In October 2010, EPA granted a partial waiver for E15 for use in MY2007 and newer light-duty motor vehicles subject to the same conditions. Taken together, the two waiver decisions allow the introduction into commerce of E15 for use in MY2001 and newer light-duty motor vehicles if the conditions are met....

The USA consumer needs to stop substituting 'cheap and high calorie' options for their diet and replace them with 'real foods' such as 100% Maple Syrup from Vermont and other growers.  Making America work is important.  The American Farmer can once again realize the promise of 'The Family Farm' with a return to production of ethaol.  However, there has to be limit on the devastation on forests.  Agricultural fields are not substitutes for trees and the importance of their balance in controlling CO2.  Ethanol is important, but, it still emits CO2.  Trees and forests are essential to the National Landscape in providing 'service' to the USA in combating the Climate Crisis.  If forests are turned into farmland and exploited for 'the new American OPEC' that will simply drive down the value of corn.

All potentails for producing ethanol other than food sources such as algal production whereby it actually pulls CO2 out of the troposphere needs to be put on a 'fast track' to begin to expand the nation's fuel supply.  E10 will expand the supply by 10% and that cannot be ignored in a recovering global economy.  Exporting American Ethanol is out of the question as well.  Any benefits from ethanol production and use is lost when transportation is added to its consumption.  American ethanol must be utilized by Americans.

Electric cars are still the best venue for the USA as well as hydrogen.  The fisheries of the USA have to be put in production in a way that excludes the petroleum industry's dangerous disregard for their health and the health of the people in coastal economies.  It has gotten to be ridiculous when one considers the complete abandon that has occurred in our nation's oceans and the peril allowed to citizens for the sake of personal transportation.  It is simply immoral.
