I am joking when I say these are very powerful and dangerous storms. May 11, 2005. Hastings, Nebraska. It was almost like a white out! The hail and rain fell so hard that I couldn't see 20 feet in front of my car and the wind was blowing about 50mph. This is a picture out my side window. The trees were ripped of all leaves and the house was only about 30 feet away. It is all too easy to look at pictures. Hail will hurt a person if they are out in it. Write all your legislators. This isn't going to get better from what I am seeing on the satellites.
