COVID-19 and it's variants are still a huge issue in our country.

Some Americans are unwilling to participate in real solutions to end the spread of the virus. It has to be stopped. This is ridiculous. It should never have occurred in the first place and to realize how completely out of control this virus has been in this country and the number of deaths it has caused only reveals a bizarre political paradyme that must be ended as well. If any candidate makes COVID-19 or its variants a political issue that should be an automatic elimination from office. The country needs to stop this very destructive nonsense that began with Trump and his budget cuts followed by the "Politics of COVID-19." Outrageous.

It thought this was interesting. It was a great idea to test children BEFORE they returned to school after the holidays. For some areas it was not well coordinated.

Despite state leaders’ promises to get at-home COVID tests in students’ hands before they returned from winter break, Bay Area school districts received them at wildly different times – and some didn’t have tests until days after classes resumed.

And a Bay Area News Group analysis suggests districts that received tests earlier were able to do a better job than others at controlling the spread of COVID among their school communities.

The state’s failure to deliver tests in a timely manner, even as it urged districts to resume in-person classes, has created tension within school communities about whether students and teachers were placed at unnecessary risk. Then, the methods for distributing the tests by the school districts were so uneven that in some cities, parents and kids waited in huge lines for tests while they were received in an orderly manner in other places....

I really don't want to hear how coping with COVID at the business level is a problem. SINCE THE BEGINNING of this GLOBAL pandemic health authorities have been cautioning everyone to remain isolated and to stop the spread. It was never carried out in a method that was effective because government officials decided to harness unhappiness and make it work for them.

COVID-19 has caused a complete collapse of many of the older businesses  because either it was an opportunity to close without complaints from the community, or the businesses were based in accommodating large numbers of customers per day to make the cash flow it needed. 

THIS WAS COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE, except, we had a populous, eccentric in the White House as president and that is exactly what occurred. Now, there will be a business renaissance that will utilize at home work spaces and cyber connections. I think that is an improvement, but, at some point business is going to have to give up the idea that everything will be returning to "normal." That won't happen. Things will be different from here forward. 

I think the US House lead by Speaker Pelosi during the Trump Administration did magnificent work followed by a US Senate that never dared to oppose her bills. We had a very successful PPP program and an Economic Disaster Relief bill that has served this country very well and continued economic viability and growth when in fact there was none. The unemployment support has proven to be invaluable and it was Speaker Pelosi that championed these provisions. She has been an amazing Speaker. It is unfortunate she has been villanized over and over by the political right.

The USA will come out of this global pandemic a winner. 

On the West Coast was the tsunami and on the East Coast a horrible winter storm.
