That is their defense of Donald John Trump?
Then every crime committed is retribution. Every prosecution is retribution. Retribution is something Donald Trump knows about because during his administration there was nothing but retribution of anyone who didn’t provide loyalty to him rather than the rule of law.
Retribution is grounded in the idea of gaining gratification from taking actions against another. Retribution is zealotry. Retribution is not occurring on the US Senate floor today. Retribution does not require facts, hence loyalty. What is occurring today in the US Senate is the truth based in fact. There is no zeal in any of the US House managers today.
The US House managers have been reverent to the country’s history and how others have applied the Constitution to similar circumstances. Today’s hearing is unique in that never before was any former elected person turned against the US Constitution to incite terror and insurrection.
Trump’s lawyer has no defense. Instead, his lawyer is attempting to replace fact with further hate. Certainly, the Republicans must hate the Democrats to find loyalty to Trump. That is what is occurring in the US Senate today.
His lawyer is So Trumpism. Set aside dignity and solicit a different but gainful reality. There is no rule of law today from Trump’s lawyer, only to inspire more of the hate that existed on January 6th.
Trump’s lawyer is talking about a banana republic where the rule of law is sacrificed for retribution at every swing of the political wind. This is what the American people want? Not that I am aware of.
The 14th amendment by Trump’s lawyer argument is nonsense.
The real reason there is an impeachment trial is not based in hate of Donald John Trump. Narcissist. Everything is always about Trump. The impeachment trial is to protect the USA Constitution from demise. Trump came close, it wouldn’t happen again.
The US Senate changed majority because people were in fear for their country.
There is no partisanship in the films that show violence incited by Donald John Trump. The truth has never been so well documented. What? The lawyers for Trump are as much liars as he is. Where is Senator Leahy? He needs to stop the lies. Trump’s lawyers have no facts to back up their fantasy.
Threats. The Trump lawyers are threatening in the open members of Congress.
Leahy needs to assert control over the demeanor of these people.
Trump is unfit for office.
