Update 10:19 p.m. The WOSU Newsroom has called the race
on Issue 6, a permanent levy for the Columbus Zoo, as a failed levy.
With 360 precincts reporting and the Columbus zoo conceding defeat, the
levy has failed.
The Columbus Zoo should make a national appeal for funding. While the residents would pay $20 to $40 per year to support the zoo, appealing to the country will make the levy look trivial. I would send zoo $20. Why wouldn't I? Jack Hanna needs to make the rounds to the talk shows and possibly write a book.
I find it laughable the Kochs think simply because Columbus votes in the way the rest of the state does it is in control of the outcome. Don't the people of Ohio vote simultaneously? Columbus has that much influence on the state wide vote? I find that strange thinking. The issues in Columbus aren't the same as the rest of the state. It is just the way Ohio votes.
