October 10, 2005. The flash floods of Alstead, New Hampshire did considerable damage with missing people in the state. ALL the lakes are full. The Winnipesaukee Lake is up by 1.3 feet. The officials opened flood gates to relieve the capacity before the next storm arrives. The lake is only inches below it's full summer capacity. The Merrimack River is 1.4 feet from flood stage. New Hampshire is rock, The White Mountains.
