September 5, 2005. Make shift graves. "Here lies Vera. God Help Us." It was damn scary being abandoned to fate. Building graves is a statement about the civility of the people whom built it. They have great reverence for life. They all felt threatened by the situation and the reality of death that normally is prevented by their doctors, hospitals and emergency vehicles. These pictures of revernce to life speak eons of the people of New Orleans who knew little more than poverty and the 'blues.'
