The COVID variants are still very much finding their way.

Massachusetts on Thursday (click here) reported 10,250 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 42 deaths in the last week. The Department of Public Health also said Wednesday that 59,594 vaccinations, including booster shots, had been administered in a week.

The state reported that 589 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 on Thursday. The seven-day percent positivity was 8.17 percent.

Earlier this month the state announced it would be reducing case, death, and vaccination reporting from five days a week to one day a week.

As of July 11, 2022, the state Department of Public Health releases coronavirus case, death, and hospitalization data once per week, on Thursdays.
