NATO wants stability in north Africa. The President has no AUMF. What does he think he is doing?

The President hasn't brought this before the country. He has no right to play with the military because he thinks he has reasons. Those soldiers are the sons and daughters of the USA. Knock it off.

He needs to address the country. Then the country can address their Congressmen and women.

...Administration officials (click here) say the campaign in Libya could begin in a matter of weeks. They anticipate it would be conducted with the help of a handful of European allies, including Britain, France and Italy. The planning is unfolding amid political chaos in Libya, which continues to reel from the aftermath of the 2011 civil war that ended with the killing of the country’s longtime dictator, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi. In recent months the United Nations has struggled to persuade two groups of Libyan officials who claim to be the country’s rightful leaders to band together. On Monday, the parliament that is recognized by the international community rejected a unity government proposal brokered by the United Nations....

Britain, France and Italy are NATO. Remember this?

The assessment in Libya right now is 30,000 Daesh. This disgusting act of brutal power over "the human being" is a concern to the Mediterranean Sea. There is a significant economy that occurs in the Mediterranean, so why let this go on.

- Video seems to show (click here) militants in Libya holding one group of at least 16 captive on a beach and 12 others in a desert
- Before the killings a masked fighter in black brandishes a pistol as he vows to kill Christians if they do not convert
- Ethiopia unable to confirm its citizens were killed by militants in the footage but condemned the 'atrocious act'
- It comes two months after 21 Egyptian Christians were beheaded by extremists in a similar video from Libya

A shocking new video (click here) appearing to show at least 30 Christians being beheaded and shot by ISIS in Libya has been released.
The 29-minute video, titled 'Until It Came To Them - Clear Evidence', shows dozens of militants holding two separate groups captive, thought to be in the south and the west of the country.
At least 16 men, described by Islamic State as the 'followers of the cross from the enemy Ethiopian Church', are lined up and shot in a desert area while 12 others are filmed being forced to walk down a beach before being beheaded.
This follows another video in February of the beheading of a group of 21 Coptic Christians on the beach in Libya, though that terrain was rockier than the one shown in the latest film.
It raises fears that ISIS is consolidating its presence on the 'doorstep of Europe', as Libya is just a few hundred miles from the coast of Italy....

Daesh doesn't present a threat so much as a menacing presence. This menacing presence causes business and people to make decisions not usually made. So, the presence of Daesh is creating BEHAVIORS in the Mediterranean economy.

Additionally, Daesh just goes around as if people were a herd of animals, jails them, uses them as human shields and then assassinates them to increase any understanding of terrorist fears among innocent people.

These lives are important, too.

Of all the governments of north Africa, Libya is still fluid. Maybe better said, Libya is still in anarchy. The instability in most of the countries has been mostly resolved, except, for Libya. Europe wants to end the chances of problems.

...The White House has said it would be nice, but not necessary, for Congress to pass a new authorization for the use of military force. That stance has allowed Congress — which has primary responsibility under the Constitution to declare war — to sidestep an important war vote.
