The House Oversight Committee (click here) plans to call Planned Parenthood to a hearing on the undercover videos one day before the government is due to run out of money, according to Democrats on the committee.
Democratic members are demanding that David Daleiden, the man behind the video operation, is also called to testify at the Sept. 29 hearing. If he isn’t, they say in a letter to Chairman Jason Chaffetz today that they will call him to their own minority hearing....
There is no way a corporation this size providing valuable services to women's health can be completely defunded overnight. So, while the Republicans are threatening to shut down the government the US House ? thought ? it should hold hearings first.
Republican would be kinder to Planned Parenthood if it had a branch that was a bank.
Don't get the wrong idea that the US House with it's Republican majority has finally decided there is parliamentary procedure to follow before it defunds Planned Parenthood. The hearing is for photo ops for their elections.
