It is the Republicans that haven't encouraged trade. Still yet another lie by the Romney Camp.

WASHINGTON — Congress passed three long-awaited free trade agreements on Wednesday, ending a political standoff that has stretched across two presidencies. The move offered a rare moment of bipartisan accord at a time when Republicans and Democrats are bitterly divided over the role that government ought to play in reviving the sputtering economy.
The approval of the deals with South Korea, Colombia and Panama is a victory for President Obama and proponents of the view that foreign trade can drive America’s economic growth in the face of rising protectionist sentiment in both political parties. They are the first trade agreements to pass Congress since Democrats broke a decade of Republican control in 2007...
President Obama has never not one day of his presidency stood in the way of free trade. He has met with the leaders of these countries to bridge any gaps and the responsibility stood with the Republicans. It was time to move the country forward and President Obama did exactly that. The Romney Camp is making all kinds of grandstanding about securing free trade in the global economy.
Hello? That campaign rhetoric will only give permission for the Republicans to secure their old position of obstructing every aspect of economic improvement in the USA for local businesses. This form of free trade expands the market place for American made goods.
These articles prove the lies extend through 'time travel' when people have forgotten the good works of President Obama.

President Obama this morning signs free trade agreements with South Korea, Panama and Colombia, a day after major news out of Libya: the death of former dictator Moammar Gadhafi.
Gadhafi's death represents another triumph in Obama's national security record, reports USA TODAY's Richard Wolf.
Obama had planned a big signing ceremony on the free trade deals -- with members of both parties present -- instead he will sign the free trade deals in the Oval Office. The president will later drop by a Rose Garden reception for business and labor leaders affected by the pacts.
"These trade agreements will significantly boost American exports, support tens of thousands of American jobs and protect labor rights, the environment and intellectual property," says the White House....
The references to the late leader of Libya only proves how long ago these bills were passed to facilitate trade. This was not an election year strategy for the President. He has been moving on all these issues throughout his years in office.
