There are a couple of issues with the climate in West and Northern Hemisphere

There is two, no actually three, low pressure systems. One is a vortex over Mexico the other over South Dakota. Both these systems have potential for catatrophic damage. The vortex over Mexico could conceivably move into the Gulf and become a huge tropical depression accelerating into a hurricane in a very short period of time.

The third low pressure is more covert and contains potential of tropical storm capacity. It is 'currently' between Jamaica and Cuba. It came through the 'Windward Passage,' east of Cuba. It has greater potential because it is entering the hotter waters of the Carribean.

There is a vortex street at high latitudes, primarily the latitudes that include Canada. The Arctic Circle.
