Ellis Race Track in Kentucky struck by the tornado.
The stable is in the foreground and the apartments in the background. Amazing there was so little injury. According to MSNBC who spoke directly with a spokesman for Ellis stated the roofs came off but the horses simply stood in their stalls. They were waiting for their handlers before they moved except for a few. There were some injuries but a veterinarian was on the scene shortly to treat the injuries. There were however and sadly five thoroughbreds that were fatally injured. I believe there were 150 horses stabled at Ellis this time of year. No person was injured or killed. That's amazing. F3 tornado. Mostly at the borderline of F2 to F3 but the damage in areas reflected F3.
