The event in Australia happened toward the end of their summer on February 5, 2005. This is a 'temperature' distribution map. The Orange Color indicates 60 degrees below zero whereby the green color near the South Pole was about 30 degrees above zero. It was a turbulent event that forced the frigid air down to the lower latitudes with a huge heat dump over Antarctica. EARTH !! Incredible force but mild when one considers the storms that occur on sibling planets. We are allowed to live here. We just don't appreciate it !!
