China is still not an ally.

India’s development is the way forward. 

If Xi actually wants to establish his country as a leader in peace, he needs to champion non-proliferation and begin the process of denuclearization with every country in the world, including North Korea. Xi needs to make it real and not just a good show of good will intentions.

This summit occurred through months if not a year of talks between the two countries.

And, Joe is correct. Xi is a dictator. There are no free and open elections in China. Xi is in power without a challenge. He should prove his influence by demanding Russia leave Ukraine. Ukraine also needs additional funding for it's continued fight against ethnic cleansing and genocide.

U.S. President Joe Biden (click here) holds a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Filoli Estate in Woodside, California.

Meeting with President Biden for the first time in a year (click here), China’s leader, Xi Jinping, reiterated his determination to unify with Taiwan, but stopped short of mentioning the potential use of force. He denounced what he called futile American efforts at containing China, but also acknowledged that U.S. tech restrictions had taken a toll.

And he broadcast that China had global ambitions for its influence — while also trying to reassure the world that those ambitions did not have to lead to conflict with the United States.

Mr. Xi’s message at the leaders’ summit in San Francisco, as depicted by official Chinese summaries, reflected his dual, at times contradictory, priorities during his trip to the United States, which many had hoped would help inject stability into the volatile bilateral relationship....
