What impressed me as notable is the zealotry of Sessions and his god culture. He has now crossed the line of implementing the rule of law and justification by the Bible. US Law does not support all Bible precepts, some are just innate to justice be it atheist or in the context of White Supremacy's fascism which Sessions now embraces.
There is the understanding of "Catch and release" which is far more benign to the integrity of "the human being" than the current Trump policy. The reporting from VOX shows a high traffic border crossing area known to receive families could have been actively separating children from the custody of their parents as far back as summer of 2017. In fact, the USA Justice Department does not have a clear accounting of these people. That is convenient for the US Justice Department practicing an alien emphasis in it's application of current legal statutes.
If there are no records, there is no crime.
Americans need to understand "Catch and Release" has been the practice of the USA which worked well to preserve human integrity and protecting national security. It is vital Americans understand separating children from their parents has never been the practice of the US government when it comes to asylum seekers and families. There is far too much risk of doing harm to children in the practices now invoked by Trump and Sessions.
The current practice by Trump and Sessions in destroying the integrity of human families in relation to immigration is an international crime categorized under human rights abuses. "Catch and Release" is recognized under international law as a system that will handle the legal and national security aspects of border crossers.
Donald Trump's administration has departed from US law and international law as early as August 2017 without changes in law, policy or standards. This entire paradigm is covert and remains so in that the disposition of the children remains unknown and the integrity of a child's identity to natural parents has been destroyed.
Trump has definitely crossed the line of USA policy and has definitely entered the paradigm of an international criminal. There is no gray here. The change has occurred and the zealotry of Jeff Sessions is obvious.

Immigration rose sharply from 2000 to 2010, as 14 million new legal and undocumented immigrants settled in the United States, according to census data. At the same time, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not have enough space to house all the undocumented immigrants being apprehended.
So the Bush administration would release many of these immigrants under their own recognizance — and many of them would then fail to report for their immigration hearings....
