I can't but wonder if there is a leader of these attackers that have a central authority to what has transpired? I always appreciated the way Pakistan can combat criminals and terrorists among them by simply knowing one or two phone connections.

If there are journalists near dangerous areas, I doubt the police are worried about them. It isn't as though the journalist is allowed to be in a dangerous area, it is that the authorities aren't concerned with quartering off safe and dangerous places. Journalists are taking chances on their own. Kindly consider a higher degree of safety. Don't become kidnapped.

We have time later for details.

It is extremely dangerous in France right now. The authorities are carrying out combat, literally, with terrorists. The police/domestic soldiers are not necessarily willing to talk first and shoot later. Citizens have to be very prudent in their movement through the area. They need to be aware of LOCAL activity with police and authorities.

I would have a local radio and television on to realize how the authorities are permitting movement. If police are engaged in securing the area it will be difficult to reach authorities.

Emergency vehicles needed to transport citizens on a regular basis, may be very busy. Citizens may have to transport to an emergency room by themselves if they have a personal emergency.
