It could be said that Carly Fiorina's reply to Donald Trump's comments of her face is based in her personal wish list to be the next Republican Vice Presidential nomination. No one wants a Vice President that is outspoken. Her comments allowed the rift between them to melt and disappear.
The 2016 election has the potential to end careers by mainstream/establishment Republicans. Democrats will simply be disgusted again.
The Democrats need to find what drives Donald Trump followers to greater participation. If the answer is 'Confrontation of Donald Trump,' they might want to stay away from that interaction. There is nothing like that feel good feeling that Trump has it tied up so why bother.
