The cease fire has to include a lifting of the blockade of Gaza. Currently, Israel has no reason to settle for borders or peace. Israel has created circumstances regarding Palestine that insures it's continued war to end any form of Palestinian homeland.
I think it is hideous for anyone to state Israel is only annihilating 'one area of Gaza' as if the killing in 'one area' is more desirable than all of Palestine. The killing is immoral and currently Palestine has the moral high ground in defending their continued sacrifices.

Israel has to stand as an autonomous country with ability for national security, but, to kill large number of Palestinians is out of the question. Both parties need to settle on a peace and borders. Until that is successful both nations of people will suffer losses of life.
