The one year anniversary of SuperStorm Sandy is upon us. The storm formed on October 22nd and make landfall on October 29th. The Secretary of the Interior has awarded monies to initiate storm protection projects along the Atlantic Coastline in noting the horrible damage the country sustained last year.
GALLOWAY, N.J. - October 24, 2013 (WPVI) -- U.S. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell (click here) is in New Jersey to announce $162
million in funding for 45 storm-protection projects from North Carolina
to New England.
The money will help restore marshes and wetlands and rebuild shorelines to reduce the impact of storms like Superstorm Sandy.
