What is interesting about some of this is that even at $64,000 per capita it never gets to 10

Income inequality and disparity in wealth distribution is real. The fewer that have money, the fewer will continue to have money.

Human Beings always want more, they never want less. It is the one sincere characteristic humans have they don't share with the rest of the biotic world. Even the most vicious predators stop eating when they have had enough and fed their pride.
Each circle represents (click here) a country surveyed in the Gallup World Poll. The grey line approximates the satisfaction-income relationship, segmented for richer countries and poorer ones. The horizontal axis shows GDP per capita on a log scale, meaning that each tick represents a doubling of income.
