MOGADISHU (RBC) Djibouti foreign minister Ali Abdi Farah has made clear this week that Djibouti government will send its first military unit to Somalia capital, Mogadishu as part of African Union mission in Somalia.
“Djibouti intends to send first battalion to Mogadishu as part of AMISOM troops there”, foreign minister Ali Abdi Farah told the Djibouti state TV.
The minister confirmed that Djibouti already pledged to give one battalion peace keeping forces to protect Somalia’s weak government but delayed for technical reasons which are now handled adding that the troops will go on late this month or early of June....
The State Deparment must have been very busy.
...They face life sentences, but could receive lighter terms and eventually be deported to Somalia.
Two of them also pleaded guilty to hostage taking at the Virginia court.
The men are among 15 who have been charged for their roles in the February hijacking of the Quest. The yacht's owners and two guests were shot dead....
The thing is this, if these transition governments are sincere in their demands for equalty and human rights, the last aspect of their government they should be interested in is the ability to kill other peoples, including their own.
...The secretary of the speaker of the parliament (click here) told reporters shortly after the meeting concluded that both sides had been meeting three days and lastly wrapped up their meeting with no results and dispute.

He said they discussed how the election would be held and also the right time to be formed in Somalia pointing out that they misunderstood articles over their talks over the election supposed to be held in August.
Shairf Hassan called for the international community to support the elections....
Some of these countries are crying out for structure and stability. Somalia is a case in point, where 'belief systems' override every opportunity to form a meaningful government and begin a sincere economy. We know that impoverishment is a requirement for extremism and this vicous cycle is exactly where international criminals find safe havens.
