24 hour loop - Primarily 'inland wind' bring cold temperatures onto Antarctica from shorter solar radiation cycle.

There is still some heat transfer occuring as noted in the southeast of the continent, but, with the sun traversing north it's diminished in it's intensity and 'reach.' Most of the vortices 'around' Antarctica are finding resolution at higher latitudes than the continent itself.
