September 26,2005. The North Pacific Vortex is south of Alaska and spinning toward it with a mini-vortex over California. The North Atlantic Vortex is over Iceland reaching to the Mid-Atlantic and onto the equator spawning several reverse rotations; east of NC and south of Haiti. The primarily southern border of the Arctic Vortex falls at the Canadian border. There is a clear delineation between it and the ascending heat off the equator. NOTED the straight edge of the aire masse extending past the Great Lakes.
