September 12, 2005. UNISYS Infrared GOES EAST satellite. "Ophelia" is clearly seen as an eddy off the Artic Ocean Vortex. Noted is a very accelerated 'hurricane' at the 1 o'clock position of this satellite. Click on title to view 12 hour loop. Also noted is the realatively 'quiet' Gulf of Mexico as in opposition of the Pacific Ocean of North America. By North America, I mean all of North America clean on down to Panama.
