September 14, 2005. Frog in the sandy mud. Cornwall-On-Hudson, New York. What is important about these silly little animals? What is their relationship with the Gulf Coast and especially New Orleans? Especially frogs reproduce frequently enough that 'toxins' and their effect on the environment show up here first. Frogs are highly susceptable to toxins and result in all kinds of genetic changes within their egg laying. It would be prudent for the states long the Gulf Coast to immediately instill environmental monitoring to establish the impact of the toxins and the forces of this storm that will ultimately effect their fisheries and people. Good luck.  Posted by Picasa
