John Robert's is ambitious but too slick to trust

I find John Roberts with a glowing lack of willingness to be open regarding this country's future court.

He has recently made decisions regarding military tribunals that he as a Chief Justice will place judges to rule. Yet in his hearings he twice stated on two different days that these courts are a surprise to him and very inexperience in comprehending the extent to which care has to be to place judges due to the lack of structure within these courts allowing civil rights to exist as a safeguard to it's defendants.

In regard to Roe v. Wade, it is undenably a right in this country to have that option available but yet he is willing to admit it is assailable through Casey.

He declines serious consideration of a personal letter whereby he advocates for the reconsideration of habeas corpus and passed it off as 'repetitive' abuse of the law. When lawyers abuse the law that is a pier review issue and NOT a resturcturing of a Writ of the USA Constitution.

I get the strong feeling John Roberts would not at all mind playing God and might even consider it 'child's play' in a frivilous manner reflected by the president that nominated him.

..................................................

1;03 pm - As this hearing continues to play out I am less and less impressed with Bush, his cronies and their demeanor as related to this nominee. Now, Fred Thompson is threatening the Democrats with Blackmail stating he sees changes in the law if this nominee does not get Democratic votes. He stated it would be a rude awakening to Democrats to realize they no longer have a role in a Senate Committee to any judical nominees. When do Democrats see the coercion in all this and charge Thompson with appropriate charges including ethical breaches !!

A quote from Roberts in the "Washington Times" went like this:

"Judge Roberts -- sensing the prickly territory -- made a lighthearted reference to former Sen. Fred Thompson, the Tennessee Republican and television star who has been ushering him through the confirmation process.

"Well, you know, my new best friend, Senator Thompson, assures me that television cameras are nothing to be afraid of," he responded, before adding that he does not have a "set view" on the matter, but would listen to colleagues if confirmed."
