August 19, 2005. Eliat, Israel. This is not exactly a city that would be a threat to Jordan. It's not a military instillation. It is a resort community. It is easy to draw conclusions when an attack occurs at a civilian area as to whom is causing the violence. With the USA Navy attacked it leaves a question. But, the majority of the world respects the Geneva Conventions that would prevent any attacks on civilian areas. That is why these attacks are so heinous.

What is more troubling than any other fact today is that the USA is seeking exemption from the Geneva Accords by 'muscling' other countries with threat of economic reprisal. If there was MERIT for the USA to have exemption and countries granted it for that reason as it happened at the beginning of the Afghanistan Invasion it would be admirable on the part of all the countries including the USA for pursuing that issue. However, to coerce cooperation is highly suspicious of continued illegal and immoral tactics by an already disgraced USA administration with Bush/Cheney.
