July 8, 2005. "Dennis" and it' mass is more contained with increased velocity. It is currently in the curl of a vortex flow as an eddy to the North Polar Vortex. It can also break away forming it's own secondary path joining with the denser heat path of the upper arm of the vortex flow. This Water Vapor Satellite shows a path not so much along Mexico but directly across the Gulf into Louisiana. That will shift to the east as the vortex flow travels east. "Dennis" will more than likely follow the more overt path leading to Louisiana as it moves east. Land fall will be more panhandle of Florida to the entire west coast of that state with a very real potential for a Cat Five as the vortex flow and it's eddy, "Dennis" becomes a straight line. The 'heat' dynamics of the upper arm is significant to supply energy to "Dennis."
