Tuesday afternoon, tornadoes began to spin up in northern Kentucky and southern Illinois, with storms moving through the Owensboro and Elizabethtown areas.
In the western Kentucky community of Mayfield, near Paducah, a tornado pounded through a parking lot, and was caught on Facebook video by Randall Reed.
11Alive meteorologist Samantha Mohr says the Mayfield tornado is an excellent example of a "multi-vortex tornado."
