I do believe the people coming to the USA have good reason to do so. They are south of our border, they are poor and they are more refugees than anything else. This mission provides hope in stemming the flow of illegal immigrants as well. If the living conditions of these people improve, including water supplies, clean water supplies, they might not leave so much as eek out a life and community in their native land. The mission work is dangerous, too. Anyone considering this has to really think it through.

His hopes may be thin: Fewer than 2 percent of the more than 232,000 cases reviewed since November have been set aside under the Obama administration's new policy of showing more discretion in pursuing immigration violators.
The figure is likely to be closer to 9 percent once the reviews are complete, said authorities at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement who released the statistics this week....
