2006 Hurricane/Tropical Data for Southern Pacific

The Australian Cyclone Season 2006 thus far.

The cooling trend in Antarctica this year seems to be strongly matched to the Cyclone season of Australia. This season has not brought 'overall' stronger storms, BUT, far more land falling storms. The 'heat energy' otherwise thought of as the 'calories' of Global Warming is now transferring to terra firma rather than the oceans. The ice formations of Antarctica may very well come to know some relief at least this season and maybe, just maybe, we might see a trending 'back' to formation of ice shelves rather than destruction. That still doesn't address any potential this season otherwise or the substantial damage of the ice terraces, but, it is an interesting realization.
