April 24, 2006.

Antarctica. The temperatures are predominately below zero. There is a warming trend that seems very stubborn over the Peninsuala extending down the shoreline where very valuable ice shelves still exist and should be reestablished. The warming can be noted on animation. West Antarctica has been under a serious melt for some time now and the 'alarm' regarding this has fallen on deaf ears. There is never statements about the dramatic collapse of the Larsen ICE SHELVES (Plural). That is not a small aspect of living on Earth. Ice shelves are extremely important. To personalize it, if that is necessary, "Ask a penguin."
