The Brookfield Zoo Wind Chime
January 29, 2006 - It wasn't exactly the March of the Penguins, but 27 fiberglass hand-painted penguins were auctioned off Sunday at the Brookfield Zoo.
The 5-foot tall, 60 pound penguins were on display in Hinsdale over the holidays, and that village donated the colorful penguins to the zoo to help the zoo raise money.
Proceeds go to support the zoo's Living Coast exhibit, plus conservation efforts.
The auction raised over $33,000.
