The next best thing to Women's Sufferage and obtaining 'The Vote' was that contraception was available. Amen.
In Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Connecticut law prohibiting the use of birth control. The case established the "right of privacy" of married couples to plan their sex and family lives as they saw fit. This photograph shows Estelle Griswold, medical adviser and executive director of the Planned Parenthood clinic in New Haven, and Mrs. Ernest Jahncke, president of the Parenthood League of Connecticut, celebrating the court’s decision.
Pro-Life / Anti-Abortion Movements are not about happiness of women, not about wholesomeness of relationships and what they mean to both partners, not about preparing for parenthood. The Pro-Life / Anti-Abortionist is about politics. It is deranged and "W"rong. A woman's body does not have a political map drawn on it like a Gerrymandered Texas District. It is the right of Habeas Corpus for a women to have control of her body and the life she lives with it. The Pro-Life / Anti-Abortionists don't care about the quaity of life of the child or the parent(s). They are the same political affiliation that will not raise taxes on the wealthy and/or corporations.
Giving birth is a very big deal and should never be entertained without planning and commitment BEFORE the conception of a wanted pregnancy. The more options women have to prevent or stop a pregnancy as in the Morning After Pill, the less and less abortions will be performed in the USA. It is a natural progression and the statistics of decades proves it. There is no reason for the radicalization of the right to an abortion or contraception, except, for a wedge issue of political extremism. The statistics speak to an American woman able to discern her own will. The entire idea of banning abortion is hideous, moronic and childish.
