It is far to easy for the Free World to carry on campaigns against Israel’s defense, but, in comparison of Russia’s attacks in Syria this doesn’t really compare. I guess when it comes to removing terrorists from cities there is no real comparable model. Terrorists use infrastructure against it’s designed purpose.
Latest reports out of Gaza is that Doctors Without Borders has lost contact with it’s personnel amidst bombing near the hospital.
The Free World maintains the idea that Israel’s leadership lacks competence in war tactics, yet, no one is suggesting any different strategy. When the US was in Iraq it used ground forces to conduct urban warfare. The casualty rate was lower but extended over a long period of time. The US has the best fighting force in the world with far larger numbers of troops. If the US were to join with Israel the communists would see it as an opportunity to expand the war. With US troops fighting against Syrian attacks currently it would seem the attacks by communists began before Israel was attacked and 1400 innocent unarmed people were murdered.
After Israel declared war Former General Petraeus had the guts to address Israel’s task of eliminating “the threat” in an interview on a news program and basically had no criticism of Israel. He said the threat had to be brought to a manageable level and then maintained in order to return function to the land and people.
What do the critics of Israel expect? Is Israel supposed to forever expect attacks killing 1400 people at a time and figure it’s the best that can be given its the Middle East or should it expect support in destroying terrorist infrastructure to eliminate the threat to the point where it is routinely managed?
If Iran is allowed to continue to support terrorists throughout the world and nothing is done to end the ideological terrorist networks where does civilization actually stand as a sustainable answer for human existence?
Israel’s IDF is carrying out a reasonably successful campaign against the terrorists and their infrastructure. Israel has repeatedly stated to evacuate the war zone. Israel has not resorted to dropping chlorine bombs from planes as Syria did while Russian tanks rolled through the rubble.
The fact is there are no good alternatives for ending the siege in Gaza by terrorist networks including Hamas. The humanitarian response into Gaza has been impressive compared to that shown in Syria. When the Free World comes up with better solutions to end the danger to innocent citizens, including infants and children, in Israel besides surrender; I am sure the the IDF will consider it. In the meantime, the best answer to eliminate Palestinian casualties in Gaza REMAINS no different from the first day of war, but, to evacuate.
