"Scott Walker is trying to build a better education system for the future."

That is a statement by those that support Walker in his Recall Election. That simply isn't true. Those opposing the citizens seeking to maintain their quality educational system in Wisconsin are not about to cheat the younger generation.

The teachers in Wisconsin, as in most of America, work hard at their jobs. They are dedicated and put in extra hours while some even pay for their own teaching supplies out of their salaries. Those 'conditions' are legitimate working conditions others do not have in their profession. While a nurse might own her stethoscope, she doesn't supply all the bandages. To realize a teacher may want her own lesson planner, she should not be expected to supply the paper to her students or the paints for their art lesson, yet it goes on. Nor should a teacher go unpaid for extra time they dedicate to their lesson plans or helping a challenged student after hours. If a student is challenged to do well in the classroom it is admirable to seek to help, but, that is not the teacher's failings in her job when most of her students are doing well.

Scott Walker is seeking to DOWNGRADE the quality of life teachers have that prevent burn out, refresh their lives of giving to best educate their students. Larger classrooms are not challenges to a teacher, it is a downgrade in the education a child receives. "Doing more with less" is not the way a child learns, nor should we be asking our teachers to engage their profession that way.

The entire aspect of those supporting Walker to reduce the burdens on the State Treasury are not interested in the best outcomes of students. Children in school today are on a timeline to success as an adult and when that timeline is interrupted the child suffers. That time cannot be made up. There is no changing the outcomes until the system recovers from a Wall Street melt down. The children of Wisconsin need their teachers now and they need quality education now. Those opposing the voices of teachers by saying it will be better later are not interested in students and their future.
