Lake Charles, Louisiana.

If I had to find an analogy; it looks like a tropical rain forest with undergrowth and a canopy. That is all decaying carbon matter. It is the basis for wetlands and it's black anoxic soil ecosystem. If the road weren't there we would be on our way to a very different reality for this land. The point is that nature has a dynamics that 'carbon unites' like humans have little control over. There is little 'sense' to rebuilding 'towns' IF the wetlands are not first returned and the fury of storms moved far back to sea from here. Posted by Picasa
