A note about the departed Pope

Pope Francis was leader of the Holy Roman Catholic Church for twelve years. He was a vigorous leader and literally carried the weight of the world in his shoulders. His work is a matter of libraries and not volumes. His devotion was incredibly humble which speaks to the presence he felt all the time of God. He never wavered and the most remarkably different aspect of Pope Francis’ ministry is his expansive inclusiveness.

Pope Francis never veered away from looking humanity in the eye and addressing every aspect of differences while accommodating that difference with a spiritual path aligned with spiritual purity as would be demanded by God.

Pope Francis’ eulogy by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re reflected the Pope’s life without apologies. If we could all walk that path the world would be far more livable.

To note, it was the Free World leaders (click here) that celebrated the Mass as Pope Francis was laid to rest. These were not casual relationships. The heads of state and great spiritual leaders canceled their duties to attend the funeral. Pope Francis was a part of their faith.

Always in question with Popes is the idea of miracles and sainthood. The Argentine Archbishop had a rather rare one (click here). These Eucharist are considered the ultimate expression of the body of Christ.

Everyone have a good day.

One other note. Pope Francis died of a stroke followed by a heart attack, not unlike his savior.
